In all honesty, I actually now have a reason to check out Tabula Rasa, I wasn't all that excited about it before, but now there'll at least be a familiar face (says the guy who's been READING the boards for the last two years, but never saying much)
Cuppa, you've been a valued addition to the team, and you'll be missed around here. Cricket, welcome to the primary.
[/ QUOTE ]
My feelings exactly. Please don't stop playing CoX, Cuppa. Whenever I think of CoH/CoV I think of CuppaJo, and the great Cryptic devs. They all go together. I have every confidence in Cricket's abilities, but I will miss you Cuppa. -

Did you know
The cave in Cascade Archipelago has two contacts standing around in it: Dr. Huxley (who passes out Kora Fruit missions) and Sara Moore (who starts one of the SS TFs).

Sara is wearing a tee shirt with a neato Statesman picture on it. I wonder where she got it? And I wonder where I can find one. Oh, if only that was a costume piece. -

Yay, welcome Cricket! She might sound nice in her intro post but I tell you, beware the Cricket, she may be small but she wields a big stick!

Jiminy Cricket! ack! [..Banned..]
Sorry, some bonehead had to say it. -
Did you know...
Orignally, all the windows in buildings had their lights on at night. This was finally changed to be more realistic so that random windows are lighted. They even come on one-by-one now when the sun goes down. Really nice touch. -

What is so hard to belive that a LvL 1 power is not nor will it ever be uber.

I suppose you've never used or had used on you, Web Grenade. When it hits you or the mobs, whether it webs and immobilizes you or not, it slows your run speed, stops you from flying, AND slows your recharge. And web grenade is the level 1 devices power. It is uber as hell -

This is an odd bug and one I just petitioned. I did the villain mission with my hero for the Pocket D contact. Upon destroying the Couldren I got the mission complete and badge awarded. Upon checking the badge I actually was given the 'Visitor' badge which as you know is for 10 badges. So clearly something is wrong here, how can I get the Visitor badge without being awarded another badge?
I have looked and there is no system message saying I got any badge other than Visitor nor does a new badge appear on my list.
Very odd.

::waves hand:: This is not the badge count badge you are looking for... you can go about your business... move along...
(translation: It's a bug, there is an invisible badge being issued that's being counted as a badge. This is being fixed).
[/ QUOTE ]
Dang it! I want some invisible badges too. Oh wait, maybe I have some and I don't know it...hmmm. -

So...why just S/L damage?
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly.
[/ QUOTE ]
Same question.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because Smashing and Lethal are the most common types of damage in the game? Just sayin... -

Oh - and one other thing. The vast, vast majority of players at any given time are on missions. XP or not - it's the most popular part of the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which means the vast, vast majority of players at any given time are getting crappy XP which detracts from their enjoyment of the game. They would like it better if the part of the game they enjoyed also rewarded them well enough to make everyone happy.
[/ QUOTE ]
My friends and I do dozens of missions together, without even noticing the specific amounts of exp we are earning for the different mobs. Why? Because we are playing together as heros and having fun. Your rant was quite good until this last comment which shows your true colors as a powerleveling junky, who's lust for exp overshadows anything else. I truly pity you. -

2. Hover - Just remember hover is a Defesne power NOT a travel power. Use defense slots on it not just speed buffs
[/ QUOTE ]
Sadly, the amount you can raise the inherent defense of Hover is trivial by adding Enhance Defense enhancements. By default Hover offers a 5% defensive bonus, even if you 6 slot it with Enhance Defense enhancements, the most you can raise that 5% value is still below 10% (I don't recall the exact value). So it is a waste of slots to add Enhance Defense enhancements to Hover. Also, the 5% defense inherent in Hover isn't actually the most important defensive quality of the power. Hover's ability to keep you out of Melee range is! Melee attacks do 3 times the damage on average compared to Ranged attacks. So Hover is a great defensive skill, even at it's modest 5% defensive bonus. The best enhancements to add to Hover are Reduce Endurance Cost
