Now for the Attacks...No you are not attack heavy. You can have that many attack and be just find. If you like the attacks there is nothing wrong with having that many attacks. As long as you like them then it is ok. It also depends on what you want to do with the build to to say if you have too many attacks. If you want to solo AV which might be hard for a /Elec then I would say yes that is too many attacks...but if you just want to run TF and just normal stuff then that is find...remember as long as it is fun to you nothing is really wrong.

    Ok here is another option.

I am not sure about dark Consumption. Is it a waste with power sink? Is the slotting I have ok? Am I too attack heavy? I mean:

Shadow Punch, Smite, Shadow Maul, Siphon LIfe, Midnight Grasp Is this stupid ?

It is but until Werner or Umbral, or the handful of others who KNOW what is happening at the code level writes a guide, at least I'll get a chance to see what they are playing.

A lot of guides are, "This is what I did and had fun doing" type of write ups. Which is good but a little lacking in hard numbers to get the point across.
  6. You do know one of the reasons they had to change Electric armor and drop conserve power?

Its in a scrapper epic pool.
  7. Interesting build and quite different then what I expected. but I like your slotting choices.

and with I16 you can dust him off and change his laser beams color to match the dark theme

I couldn't care less if our friend Joe will never be able to afford the builds I post, and I couldn't care less if Joe, as well as many or even most players, will never solo an AV, because soloing AVs and high end builds are stuff I like and stuff I like discussing here with other people who like that stuff.

    * Of course, if the OP posts a build without any purple or PVP IO, or even without LotGs and uniques, it's sensible to assume he's implying he doesn't wish to spend that much money on the build, and I'll take that into consideration.
Its true and it seems purple builds are a buffed orange set anyway. So I can work with that. Mostly what I am looking for are concepts in builds. Especially when you have something like siphon life, which can be slotted about 1000 different ways.

If you put a build together that is full of purples, that rings of amateur to me. Only a complete noob is going to post a build 1% of the players are going to be able to use. Why pick one purple set over another? pick the wrong purple set and you gimp your toon, again amateur.

But Some people have researched deeper into the design of the game and understand the numbers behind it etc. I am not one of those. I choose to defer to those who have. That doesn't mean I am blindly following what they are doing and I have been known to make my personal changes to builds. But it sure is nice to get a starting point of view.

    It crits.

Nightfall needs to be fixed. There's no way that it is properly balanced in relation to other cone attacks.

On test, I did run around with TT, NF, Torrent, Shockwave, Spin, Eviscerate... it was amusing, safe and painfully slow.

Scrappers should have been given Darkest Night just like brutes.
Bill, do you have eviscerate instead of shockwave? I am not to keen on shockwave but I hate the idea of eviscerate's activation time.

    Broadsword/X
List all broadsword builds that have been submitted for posting, no matter the secondary

    Dual Blades/X
    etc.

    then repeat it in reverse
    X/Dark Armor

    x/ Electric Armor

    and so on.

this way we have a way to cross reference.

Who can submit? I leave that to the more experienced deciders, but if I want to know about Claws/SR there is only going to be about 2 or 3 builds I care about.

I hate to be elitist but I don't care what Joe blow uses. But if people like Umbral or Werner or BillZ or ClawsandEffect, people who understand the numbers and how to calculate stuff, its in my interest to see what they like or don't like etc.
  17. Just as we have scrapper guides and power discussions it would be neat to have a thread of compiled builds by the different Scrapper gurus. Bill, Werner, Umbral to name a few.

It would be a good goto resource to see how the more experienced players choose slots and stuff.

Sounds good will look into it.

Dark Melee has some tough slotting choices and I have no experience with it.

Do I go 6 slots for the electric shields?

Looking for someone (Umbral) to post a Dark something build so I can look at his slotting choices for DM as a reference and will point me to what I will need to do in EA.

Here is my first shot at building a Dark Melee / Electric Armor toon. I was shooting for Softcapping at least Melee Def, I only got to 40%

I also have no clue what is the best way to slot Dark Melee attacks. i.e. Siphon Life I am not happy with what I have on it. I am also not sure of my overall slot strategy for Electric Armor.

Let me know what you guys come up with.

I am posting long in case you don't have a copy of St0n3y's Mid.
  22. Anyone have a good data file to punch into Mid's that included I16?
  23. I am waiting for I16 to drop. Will be going DM/Elec. Seems like a good mix.

The proc isn't unique. You can have one in each power. My recommendations still stand as the best.
I am with Umbral on this one.

    A. he understands the minutiae of IO builds
    B. It just makes sense.
    C. I think two slots in Stam outweighs the 2.5% recovery from 4 set perf. (But I could be wrong)

I run with 1 perf proc, 1 perf stam, one stam with my claws/SR. I run 3 SR toggles, 1 weave, 1 CJ with no end problems.
