The pets +perception and wanted for Night Widdows (Arctic Air is -stealth, doesn't help with their -perception)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Really? I've noticed it helping. I can see them while they're in the AA radius. At least that's what I always thought.. did they just happen to turn visible just then?

I'm wondering about the endurance recovery power. I'm doing alright for now but I only have one toggle (AA) and no AoE attacks at the moment and I might respec into something more PvPish when I get to 50, so that would probably mean AA + CE + armor + travel power. And maybe even Acrobatics.

Not sure if the shortened recharge of Domination will help or not, since the endurance boost it gives seems to be offset by the rabid dominator sickness so that I'm usually most in need of endurance when Domination runs out. Kind of makes me wish Domination had +recovery instead of refill.

    PS. Hi Jadis *waves*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Welcome back! I'd like to think I managed to summon you by mentioning you in a thread
  3. Not mind but I'd keep the hold durations in the AoE hold. 2 hold durations and Power Boost make Glacier just about worthwhile for me.
  4. All personal opinions, of course but I think these are the essential powers:

    PvE:
    Block of Ice
    Ice Slick
    Arctic Air
    Jack Frost
    Power Boost
    Glacier
    Ice Sword
    Bitter Ice Blast

    PvP:
    Block of Ice
    Ice Slick
    Chilblain
    Shiver
    Arctic Air
    Power Boost
    Ice Blast
    Ice Bolt
    Bitter Ice Blast

    Avoid:

Frostbite. I don't think I'm being too harsh when I say this power sucks for an ice dom. It doesn't do much good but it does negate Ice Slick, which is your main control power in PvE groups.

Everything else depends a lot on your playstyle. I've respecced my ice/ice twice and had all the powers from the secondary and all but Frostbite from the primary, and there are lots that are very nice but not must haves. Power choices and especially slots will be tight. If you want to do damage you need the melee attacks and the blasts will be great for building domination in PvP. I suggest not neglecting your secondary.

You will need Stamina, I suggest getting it at level 20. I also found that Aid Self helped a lot at mid levels.
  5. Aww, I was hoping for resist numbers on armors. 1 end per second can't be right either.. I hope..

I'm disappointed at the AoE attacks. The damage doesn't look great and the recharges are long. I believe the ones in the secondary sets are better. I'm thinking I'll skip them and either the endurance recovery power or the pet, which lets me work Medicine back into my build. Perfect!
  6. Yes, too bad about the levels. At least people who were there for the badges got those. I for one an definitely going back when I hit 40, though. At least next time I'll know what to do.

Thanks everyone who turned up! And 13 seconds to spare was pretty crazy

like my nuke chain of Conserve Power + Build Up + Solar Flare + Dawn Strike + CaB

    [/ QUOTE ]

sounds good but doesnt solar flare knock them out of the range of dawn strike?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't really find it does that too much. Some, possibly, but Dawn Strike doesn't kill much by itself so I need to use it in a chain.
  8. Oh, forgot one.. I have a bind that drops me out of Nova and turns on Combat Flight, so I can remain in the air while I cast heals or buffs on myself.
  9. What big teeth you've got, Grandmother!

I use /bind lshift+lbutton "powexec_name dwarf_teleport" on my peacebringer. Then just hold lshift and click away.
  10. I do the build up - Nova - AoE -human -Solar Flare thing as well.

I'm very blasty for a peacebringer, so most of my tricks involve enabling me to steal a few AoEs in Nova form in a situation where I might otherwise be too squishy, then dropping to dwarf to take the return fire. Pulsar, White Dwarf Flare and Solar Flare are nice for that as they give a little breathing room to change forms and launch AoEs.

I vary the order of my Nova AoEs depending on what I want to do. If I have someone to take the aggro I'll start with the cone and then the AoE as the AoE might knock things out of cone range, however if I'm alone I usually start with the AoE to get less return fire as they're on their backsides.

I also sometimes use the Nova AoE as an opener while tanking, just blast from high above then change to dwarf as I drop in the middle of them. Tends to get their attention and gives a nice head start.

Someone here suggested using Quantum Flight for solo void hunting and I've been using it a few times. Just QF in, Build Up, wait for the void to fire the gun and then unphase and do a IS+RS combo to get rid of the void for good.

Also like my nuke chain of Conserve Power + Build Up + Solar Flare + Dawn Strike + CaB

I recently picked up Light Form and am eager to try out some new tricks with that. I miss changing forms, though.
  11. I'd be inclined to be on Heroic since I've never done it before and don't really know what to expect, except that it's supposed to be a challenge.

Are trials even affected by reputation?
  12. Nice work! About stealthing, won't there be drones since this is Rikti? Sadly, I've respecced out of Grant Invisibility, but maybe killamonjaro has Group Invisibility?

I'm worried about levels, mainly. If it spawns at fixed level 42, we might be in for some hurt.

    My Peacebringer

I agree with everything Faultline said. Your accuracy will be very bad with this build and I'd ditch Leadership altogether, toggles are a pain for a triform. if you definitely want to go with Tactics, at least slot it up with 3 tohit buffs. Peacebringers get the second best bonus from Leadership so I think with the -def in attacks the acc might just about be adequate for human form attacks, but you do need accuracy in forms. However I'd take some powers that don't need a lot of slots for instead. Quantum Flight is nice and consider picking up Restore Essence. I know you have a slotted up self heal in Dwarf but you'll want one you can use while in Light Form. Essence Boost is good but it isn't up very often, especially with just one recharge.

Also seems to me that you're wasting slots a bit in places where they aren't strictly necessary. Endurance reduction in Dawn Strike is pretty pointless as it drains all your end anyway. I'd also take the extra slots far away from Hurdle, Health, Restore Essence and Energy Flight. Fly in Nova, it's much cheaper. You'd probably be better off using these slots and the ones spent in Leadership for slotting up your attacks and self heals.
  14. Got another signup, Logie lvl45 Mind/emp troller. And here I thought blasters and scrappers were the most common ATs..

If everybody who signed up comes, we won't have room for all unless we can get even more to join and make two teams. I also can't go with the order of posting because to be honest I don't think we can make it with three tankers and three controllers since this trial is about defeating things in a very narrow time window. I think the best thing to do is just to meet up at Infernal and see what we have and try to get a team for everyone. Del, you're definitely in as we need blasters and Stage, it looks bad for Lady as everyone seems to be either level 38 or 50, however I might take you up on the Nef offer.
  15. It smells like Rooks' r0xx0r stone tank build. Did Phil make you post this? I'm beginning to believe the boy may have some superpowers

You sure wouldn't miss much, though.
  16. That looks bad for /energy, with the activation time that Total Focus has, 64% seems like too weak odds. /Psi and /Fire still look good, on the other hand.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Don't you guys think you might've been a little too harsh on the poor guy?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, what suits a dominator better than all the colors of the rainbow, after all?
  18. Electronuts, a lvl50 grav/emp signed up as well. We need more people in the level range.. anyone? Ideally blasters because we seem very defense heavy at the moment.

    My Katana/Regen

This is my build at the moment. I've been really happy with it, although I would never say it's the best possible one. It's a high level respec build, designed to run Focused Accuracy only when needed. In very long fights I can run out of endurance with Tough and Focused Accuracy running. If I redid it now I might do some small tweaks, mainly take off the extra damage resistances in Resilience and defbuffs in MoG (because of the I7 def changes) and add some recharges in the early attacks to have a more complete attack chain when exemplaring under level 32. I might leave some slots in MoG for recharge, although it tends to be up when I need it. I don't use it a lot. Possibly also put a third endurance reduction in Tough.

Anyway, go with your guts really. Kat/Regen is a strong combo and if you slot the primary and secondary well you can't really go very wrong with any pool powers. Take ideas from others' builds, then come up with your own.

  20. I'm still not sure if ISC is fixed or not. Some say it is, some say it isnt.

I guess we'll have to wait until I7 hits test here to see for ourselves. But it seems seriously wrong if it's not fixed and FSC is.

Awww, I'd love to do the Sewer Trial, but I'll not be online 'til late on Wednesday, if at all.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, there's always possibility that we will fail, in which case I'm up for a retry.

Having read more about this and talked with some people, it seems that the level range is soft and there is no autoexemp, so that complicates things a bit. Technically, anyone level 36-50 can enter as long as we have a level 38-40 to start it, however the temp power weapons will only spawn for people in the right level range and of course the high levels will need an exemp for others to get XP.

We're doing this for the fun, challenge and experience so everyone needs to either be in or slightly above the level range, or exemplared/sidekicked. I hear it's very good XP so should help us all get out of the late 30s funk. Any higher levels are still extremely welcome though, provided we can get an exemplar spot for you guys. Does anyone know if the level range of enemies is fixed or does it depend on team level or reputation? This seems to be a bit strange beast among task forces and trials.

We'll meet at Infernal in FF to sort the team out. Global me at @Idris if you have any questions.

It is too good to be true. This is a PVP change ONLY.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah well. But on a happier note, this had apparently slipped the original patch notes:
    [ QUOTE ]

    • Domination recharge time reduced from 300 to 200.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yay! I think I will need to get rid of my habit of sitting on Domination until it's really needed or mission ends.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
    ...it says

    • Targets. Each attack from the Assault secondary power sets adds a bonus of 8 points toward filling the Domination bar over the normal value.

    ....which means 10 attacks = 80 (+10) = 90% domination?

    Well heck...jejeje...at last.

    [/ QUOTE ]

TBH that sounds a bit too good to be true. I was wondering about that.
  24. Apparently Domination will build much more quickly in PvP and the assault powers will even build it more quickly in PvE.

Sounds pretty good to me! Of course, this makes Hasten a must since I figure the recharge of Domination will now be the limiting factor.
  25. I'm planning to do Sewers trial this wednesday at 7 UK time. I'll take my peacebringer and there's a tanker spot reserved for Hibernal Flea, but the rest are up for grabs. Sign up to give Hydra a much needed lesson!

    About the trial

I've never done this myself but the level range is 38-40 and I understand someone with invisibility and recall friend would be really useful.
