  1. Everything, well as far as weakness goes. I'm a terrible RP'er.
  2. Yeah, will probably never get in on one of these, always still at work when it starts. Unless you'll take late entries?

  4. I think everyone here is getting confused with the whole hommage thing. The more I think about it, I only have a few that really take the hommage route, most seem to fall in with the canon of the CoH universe.

    Dirt Dauber - Spider-man(Identity Crisis)/Green Hornet
    Sandmonger - Sandman(DC[Golden Age]/Marvel)
    Magnashock - Shocker
    Skellion - Rogue/Ghost Rider

    Two of my most recent.

    Sandmonger: Earth/Energy Dominator

Bernard Willaims is a cursed man. His lungs are filled with a poisonous uncurable and unknown disease. Using a breather filled with various snake anitvenoms to reduce the damage and pain caused by this curse. Besides his curse, he is also in possession of a scarab singet ring from the Valley of the Kings granting him power over silica, mostly known as sand. By day he's a professor at Aeon University by night he is the super villain Sandmonger, digging, stealing, or finding any artifact found in the Rogue Isles.

    Shadowscythe: Claws/Dark Armor Scrapper

Leighton Slade had discovered an old hood and asked about it. She had hoped she never had to tell him about what his father became. She told him how the Luddites practiced and how fanatic they could be. She only asked one thing from Leighton, don't follow in your father's footsteps.

He didn't, but he did discover what his father had given him. The hood was some sort of relic, what it was he wasn't sure, but it showed him things of the past. Things about his father, things about the spiritual realm. He wasn't sure what it all meant, but recalled seeing his father with these scythe-like claws running through the Rogue Isles. "I wonder if I can do that?"
  6. Too bad I already have my PPD inspired Ice/Kin Controller Checkpoint at level 50.
  7. I'll be at work for another hour and a half before I could even get there...

    new power set ?

Really? It's possible, since for one Dual Pistols is already out and Demon Summoning is only a month away. I think there is a VERY good possibility that there will be other power sets, either it be from the new EAT or for some of the other regular Archtypes. The main reason I say this is, is why would you release two power sets that were intended for Going Rogue. I smell epic proportions for GR.
  9. Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday. Would make all kinds of sense. Hump-day Hami Raids!
  10. Once again the VV server has gone down. Considering this is the only way I know to get anyone's attention that is heading it, since it has changed hands so many times.

  11. Positron: Less armor, more power suit.
Sister Psyche: Less skin, more silver age.
Manticore: Less leather, more natural hair.

I may or may not do the others, only because some of them really don't "need" a new look.

    Statesman: Meh.
Back Alley Brawler: Less mass, more streamline
    Synapse: Less wimp, more badass.

I wish I could buy that, but I can't due to the fact that CoV is no where close as far as content goes. Granted CoV has more quality and CoH has more quantity, but it's far from a level playing field. Get back to me when there is a villain version of a Quaterfield.

Has been fixed since then, didn't work before I left for work at 3 PM EST, and it works now.

Yeah, some of us noticed that last night. Can't edit, can't upload images.

Not a clue, I don't even know who heads it either.
  16. For the record, I believe that VV is currently down, don't know if it's know maintenance or otherwise. Noticed that this morning when I went to try and edit a page.
  17. Dealing with Merits, there is a set amount of merits that are awarded, however with the new difficulty level settings I believe a scaling process needs to be added.

For instances an ITF is worth 20 Merits at +0/+0, granted I think you shouldn't reduce the number of merits if it's at -1/+0, however anything above the normal standards should give additional merits.

    ITF:
    -1/+0 = 20
    +0/+0 = 20
    +1/+0 = 22
    +2/+0 = 24
    +3/+0 = 26
    +4/+0 = 28

These are all hypothetical numbers, since I wouldn't be the deciding factor in how many more merits to give. That being said, there would another incentive to do a SF/TF at a harder difficulty setting.

Actually something as simple as using Herostats can solve that problem, because it puts a timer on powers. I've found it to be very useful since I have a lot of Corruptors (/Cold, /Sonic, etc.).

Mentor badge credit is still given whenever you are the Mission Owner, and someone is auto-sidekicked to you.

(These changes are currently being tested in the Closed Beta for Issue 16, and may be changed/modified by the time they reach the Live servers)
I have a slight issue with that, granted if I'm reading it right. Only the Mission Owner can get the badge, instead of everyone that had/has a sidekick. So instead of up to four people working towards a Mentor badge, it limits it to one. Other than that I think this is a VERY good thing, especially for long time Veterans that bring in new people, they don't have to roll a new toon to play with new players or have players that have run out of Character slots.

Heh, no more tell at level 46 anymore!

The biggest problem with the blaster version of AR is all the AOE and minimal mitigation.
Oh, I agree, but again CoX has come to the point of AoE>Single Target unless you're solo'ing. That was the same problem with Stalkers, relying on single target attacks made it sound for solo'ing, but when it came to being on a team it didn't really add anything. (Which is why I have a 50 Elec/Nin Stalker, 3 AoE attacks.)

Bingo, however I see the point of disparity since Controllers have practically made Defenders useless. Used to it wasn't the case, but that was 4+ years ago too.
  22. I'll start off with a conversation I had on Ventrilo with some friends and we concluded that Empathy on a Defender is less beneficial to a team in comparison to a Controller with Empathy as a secondary. Granted for non-power gamers Empathy Defender is bread & butter, meaning a SO dominate built team is fine, but when it is applied to power gamers it seems to take a step backwards with Kinetics taking the forefront for IO dominate built teams. I unfortunately don't have any real suggestion for Empathy, just the general idea of what my friends have assessed.

Second, Assault Rifles are now laughable at best when it comes to a powerset option for a Blaster, thankfully for Corruptors it's less of an issue because of Scourge, but as far as using it on a Blaster is that Archery has such a larger lethal output what's the point aside from aesthetics? Yes, I know I'm not currently looking at the numbers,(It's 3 am.) but Assault Rifle could use a slight boost especially for a Blaster.

That's my two cents at least for now. I'll check some number at time when I'm really awake, unless anyone else wants to tackle them.
