I'll pop in here so you guys have a new target.
The original Task Force Datamine took 3 months to finish. That was to go over 2 months worth of data.
We now have 18 months worth of data. We looked for a more effecient solution, but our estimates still come out at 2 years to datamine and get you your badges.

Shame on you from not learning from the first time! -

Just because you're in SG mode doesn't mean you automatically get Prestige. You still have to do things.

SG Mode, the way its implemented now, isn't something people seem to want. Making us want it just for prestige? How's that fun?
I so don't get the reasoning behind no inf here. Level 20 for Bases?!? What will level 50's NEVER get anything just for them?
Why shouldn't your SG have to have level 50 members in order to get a base?
I'm sorry, this whole thing is just plain wrong. SG mode is in no way shape or form of any value in-and-of-itself. Give it some, and maybe for the future, this is the way, but I'll be seriously unhappy if the data-mining for whaterver gives us bases is based exclusively on SG Mode. -
For a first timer for sure, and even for some of us veterans (from a sample size of 1), Miss Liberty seems just a whole heck of a lot more heroic than Back-Alley Brawler. Even though I'm not an RP-er, I still like feeling somewhat immersed, and for me, BAB isn't who I want to be associated with, Miss Liberty is.
Now, while my sample size was only myself, I bet there's a bunch o folks who feel the same way, and a bunch who don't. That leaves near 100% of the folks who agree in AP, and 50% of those who don't in AP...leaving GC pretty empty. -
Few things...
Theres a bug currently that causes the global channels to drop off tabs. Its possible it happens when you try to use a channel before typing /chatbeta1.
When ghide-n, and you get a gtell, it would be nice if it reminded you you were hidden somehow. Too easy to have people tricking others into revealing their hide status.
My main Peeve:
I can understand having a limit on the number of global friends. I can understand the concept of having to both be or both not be global friends. I can't understand having both.
I have to tell someone: sorry, you can't have me as a friend, my list is full?!? I really find that distasteful. -

We did think of it, but the engineers' eyeballs popped out of their sockets when we suggested it.

OK, forget the TV......could we just have a picture of that? -
I love to hate the Hollows. I wouldn't change a thing there.

For a different perspective: Its nice to have people that believe you are capable of being perfect.

I suspect some of the GM ability to help is due to a good toolset created for them. I'd love to see a feature on that someday.

I would be happy to pay an extra $5 to $10 a month if it meant content for both would each progress as quickly (or preferably moreso) as CoH content does now.
In other words, if content will have to slow because of the $15/mo limit, I'd be upset. -
I have never once used teleport self to get anywhere I shouldn't be able to go. Regardess, this recent change has made my teleport use much more difficult.
It seems most of the issues are when trying to port with a ceiling as a destination. THis used to work great, and was essential for getting around certain maps, to get ofer railings or up to various cave levels.
If there were a way to port into midair a very short distance (10-30 feet or so), this would relieve the need to port to ceiling destinations, but if the camera angle makes it so that I can't see the floor of where I want to go, I can't go there without porting to the celining above, which is now often impossible.
I'll have to try playing with camera distance, but if this is the required solution, it further weakens the usefulness of this power in crisis mode -- it will take too long to get to where I am going to provide any useful emergency response.
There's got to be a different solution that lets this power be more useful without providing the ability to go where we should not.
