Wondering if the fear element in thorntrops is enough to provide control on immobilised mobs? Appreciate a response.
-
I seem to be hitting a lot with seeds of confusion and I dont have any accuracy slots in it yet. Anyone else seeing this?
-
The single bubbles (Insulation and Deflection) do seem to be more bother than they are worth. Doesnt suit my play style. I am loving the PFF & Detention Field.

I concur on this - the mastermind binds are a godsend - it has made it sooooo much easier to control the various henchmen and actually make them do what i want ... well, most of the time, except for Robot#2 who seems to want to engage the enemy in fisticuffs at the earliest possible convenience

Yes.... One of my drone bots seems to like running up to the mob, take one pot shot and promtply face plant. Cant seem to do much to stop it happening, so often I do missions with 2 drones.
PS: I have named this bot Deathwish and is quite funny to watch.
PPS: If any Dev's are reading this, please hire someone other than a 5 year old to write your AI code. Mind you many 5 year olds could probably write a better AI than the ones found on COV/COH. -
Thanks for the feedback. A quick question - which should I get next (lvl 20): Detention Field or Dispersion Field? I am tempted to get Detention as bosses are causing a problem but I have noticed status effects are becoming more common...

Being a bit of a sheep, I rolled a Bots/FF MM and am currently level 18. But it does seem F is largely a joke with the shields providing minimal defense and the repulsion abilities having severe draw back themself. So other than disperson bubble and force bubble, I dont see the point of taking any other powers.
DM on the other hand seems to offer far more useful powers and I am beginning to think this would have suited by Robots better. -
Does Robots, for example, out class the others. I read somewhere it has the highest DPS and Hit Points. Is that true?

Sup. Check out my LEWT Build. Big on crowd control FTW.

You didnt pick Total Focus or Energy Transfer? ITs almost like the OP picked powers at random, turned around and asked "what do you think?"
Well.... I think its a poor build. -
Smoke flash is 4 sec ACT. I wonder if it can be interrupted. 4 sec is a very long time when you have several mobs aggro'd, and I guess that is when you would want to use it.
Bliding powder looks better with 1.8 sec activation time. -
Does anyone have first hand experience of using smoke bomb or blidning powder?
-
I have heard neither of these powers are any good due to the long animation times, and wanted to get some opinions on it.
If you take these two powers out, then Ninjitsu becomes a watered down version of SR (ie gimped version of a gimped power set) and has got me worried. -
In PvE - what attack chain do you use? Typically in solo missions mobs come in packs of three so need to finish em quick.
My plan, once I get SOs was to Hide->AS, then Build-up normal attacks, then Placate -> AS. -
I was thinking of putting 3 recharge redux, 1 accuracy and 2 dmg. Reason for going wiht 3 recharge redux is to allow for faster re-use with Placate.
Or am I better off with 3 dmg, 1 acc and 2 rchg redux? -
Invuln offers a higher S/L cap, while Fiery offers more rounded protection + a big heal every 30 sec by slotting Healing Flame.... Seems to me Fiery Aura wins out in better protection. Do others agree?
On a different topic - Stone seems a poor choice as the "ultimate" power, Granite, seems to cripple damage output. Is there another way to make Stone work in the higher levels? -

oooh let me rephrase then....taking groupfly and using it in combat u become gimped and lose a lot in acc bonus..further more in pvp zones like bloody bay groupfly has even worse effect due to the rumoured 50% acc instead of 70%...and furthermore for functional reasons groupfly not useful (unless u take it for rp purposes or pure enjoying flying around with bots) since the bots tp next to u after a distance....there hope is better explained...
Oh yeah and when i mentioned the cry part is because i actually saw an MM using groupfly and complain why bots where mising and how ED sux etc....heh havent had coffee yet so i kept it a bit short
