  1. I had assumed that DFB means people spend less time, and get fewer salvage drops, in the 1-25 range. I have no evidence that that is the primary cause, or even a significant contributor, but it seems like a good explanation to me. *shrug*
  2. Accidentally deleting a single inspiration is such a trivially tiny setback, and getting unwanted Awakens so common, that I find it difficult to believe much of anyone would even want to use such a prompt.
  3. Well, you can only boost an enhancement up to +5. You can only combine SO/HOs up to ++. Catalysts only work on ATOs. The Rule of 5 prevents you from stacking more than 5 of the same set bonus.

Other than that, your only limitations are ED and the relevant caps.

Edit: And yeah, "glass ceiling" is a bit of an odd term to use for this...

Not that I know of, other than getting more crits. In principle, this increase can be measured; in practice, since it's a fairly small change (1-2% for the non-superior version), you need a lot of attacks to say with any confidence whether it's working. As far as I know, nobody has gathered sufficient data on that yet (or at least, they haven't posted it). The Superior version is currently broken and not increasing crit chance at all, but that will be fixed in i22.
  5. Brawl does not take ATO sets. Nor Boxing, nor epic pools.

The answer to question 1 is yes. I'm not certain on question 2, but presumably it works like a global bonus, so it will function down to level 7, or at any level for the purple version. It might conceivably work at any level; it would be very strange, and almost certainly a bug, for it to work in a narrower level range.

    Low

It sounds like you have actual data; mind sharing it? This kind of claim is frequently made, and is almost without exception a result of perception bias, streaks of luck, or simple misunderstanding of probability, and most posters will respond accordingly.

It appears that he did. That doesn't stop them from walking away after the first trade, though. Unless you meant trade 1b for the IO, then trade 1b for nothing? Which just shifts the scamming potential to the other person.

In any event, my sympathies. I don't know the policy on scammers here; hopefully it's like other places I've been, where your items/money will be taken away from the scammer and returned to you, and they also receive punishment (usually a temporary ban). Even if that's the policy, it usually relies on the deal being set up or confirmed via in-game chat first; a GM of course can't verify a conversation you had somewhere else.

If nothing else, let everyone be reminded of the danger of scams!

Even if we assume that the difference in demand for female to male costume parts is only as much as the difference in demand for melee to ranged, 17/12, and not more like 10/1 as Noble Savage's mention of requests indicated, then females should receive about 1.4 times the costume options males do. If the work was divided at the same rate that new powersets came out, the development time spent should be more like 70/30 than 50/50.
Despite Noble Savage's first post in that thread, AFAIK your idea is basically the current policy (a solution which I believe was reached later in that thread, but I'm too lazy to dig through it right now). Maybe not the specific 1.4:1 ratio, which is debatable (what has the ratio been in some pack you would consider a good example of your preference?), but certainly the general idea that women should/will get all or nearly all of the pieces men get, plus some female-only parts. There are a number of reasons for this, among them being that it's how fashion tends to work IRL (it's socially accepted for women to wear most types of male clothing, and can also wear many types of clothing which men do not usually wear).

I'm not saying that. Stalkers not getting /Shield is pretty much bull, too, and for pretty much the same reasons. Especially since a shield can be things other than a wood/metal plate. Things which could make you MORE stealthy, even. I didn't bring up that point because it wasn't really the point of the thread, but just recently I've been planning out a character who would be really great as a Fiery Melee stalker, but we don't have those either, for equally lame reasons

(Admittedly, your objection might be my own fault for not having an avatar, making me somewhat "faceless" and easy to lump together with someone making a different point. One of these days, I'll find an avatar I like...)

I agree. I was using it as an example that Ninjitsu =/= assassin.
    Quote:
Looking back i should've used the term 'Covert' instead of 'Assasin'. Some heroes may be covert but aren't assasins, and not all Stalkers are Villains now.
That's even weaker as an objection, then. Scrappers can certainly be covert.

But Ninjitsu doesn't have an assassin theme. It has a ninja theme (hence the name). Batman, for example, fits Ninjitsu almost perfectly, other than the set's vaguely Oriental flavor (edit: which still isn't entirely inappropriate for him, anyway), and I don't think most would call him an assassin. ATs are so loosely defined in terms of theme that arguing it doesn't "fit" scrappers is rather absurd, anyway.

The whole AT politics thing is always a bit silly. Scrappers getting Ninjitsu doesn't take it away from Stalkers. It only gives players a new way to play Ninjitsu, and (depending on other proliferations that might hypothetically happen before the hypothetical Ninjitsu port) allows certain different power set combinations.
If the issue is actually "Stalkers are crap and I want to play Ninjitsu without the burdens of this horrible AT", or coming from the other side "Stalkers are crap and you're trying to give away the one nice thing we have", that's a bit of a different issue, and should be addressed more directly.

The blaster ATO proc, unlike most IO procs, is not better in a faster power. It will be just as good in Power Blast/Burst, or almost anywhere else you want to put it.

Not that comic book time is very consistent, anyway, so that part isn't a big deal.

Maybe it's because of her little nicknames for things, but I do not remember her coming across as 18 years old in her Faultline arc. I'd have to run it again some time to be sure, though.
  14. I was really surprised to read she was 18 in Faultline, also.

    Premium IO's?

By the way, you can use your second build, fill it with SOs, and be completely functional, and your IO build will be waiting for you if ever you decide to subscribe again or buy a license.
  16. Mr_Body is right: Cardiac will be a much greater help with endurance issues than Agility, especially if it's only affecting Stamina. Agility is great for the defense and recharge, but Cardiac and Vigor are the best alphas for solving endurance woes.

Without Lore pets is kinda the standard, yeah, but mostly because Lore has well under 100% uptime, can be killed, etc, so counting Lore as a part of DPS is unreliable and misleading. Other incarnate powers are fair game by the "usual" rules, though.

Since we're not talking about them, I agree, let's not mention them. We're obviously talking specifically about builds that WOULD slot the proc in Seismic Smash.

Because it's a power with a long recharge (= high proc chance), that you want to use as often as possible (= make good use of the high proc chance). The buff lasts plenty long enough to benefit the next Seismic Smash, anyway.

From context, it seemed clear to me that Sukothai was saying 'we should be able to choose what alignment we want when using a token', not just in general. As in, use a token, get a menu saying "hero/vigilante/villain/rogue?" (presumably greying out the one you already are) and you choose the one you want.

Morality missions don't, but badges do. Some of those badges are not obtainable by heroes (and some are not obtainable by villains), so you need to switch sides or at least be one of the middle alignments to get all the badges.

Edit: By the way, ph0enix, have you tried the multi-quote feature, rather than double-posting?

I seem to recall some dev specifically saying there would, or at least could, be more ATOs in the future. Maybe it was in a UStream? I'm not sure, but anyway, this isn't just totally baseless speculation here.
