It's possible to get a decorative room in along with a teleporter. If you pay 150k for control 2 instead of control 1, you can fit a studio room in too, although it adds 200k to the cost of the more expensive base to do so.

1.5 Million... what were the devs thinking when they set the costs? This isn't anywhere close to a PvP raidable base either.

Oh, it will, you'll just be limited to adding decorative items to your 2x2 entry room and won't be able to place additional rooms.

That said, a 2x2 is easily the size of a small house in SWG, the sizes are deceptive.

Bad unless they're comming to resolve the reason they can't rest... which would probably be vengance either aimed at Nevermore or Father.

Forgiveness is always a good one... and bringing Ouija boards could be funny...

I was thinking of it as a chance to lay a few old plots to rest, but I can't actually think of many unquiet dead other than June to appear.

And Fae Lords comming to spice up the party aren't fun?

Most of us will be creating new level 1 alts, simply because the iCON costs are too expensive for the costume revamps even if you do have a free slot.

I don't know if we want one from the heroes perspective, but I do think one for the villains is a good idea.

There's no established heirachy to cause problems, and an evil base is always nice, and raiding it can be a way for Villains and Heroes to meet safely....

I'd like to see it set up as a GM toolbox, but that's a community decision.

Votes peeps, is it an actual party somewhere (and if so who's organising) or just everyone turning up in costume.

Traditions wise...you want the American Commercialised version, or the real deal?

American - loads of hyperactive kids in costumes running around and banging on doors requesting "trick or treat", with the expectation they'll either be candy to placate them (treat) or they'll play a trick on the household (normally pushing over bins or throwing toilet rolls over it)

Sometimes the adults will play a trick instead, and wear a scary costume or give the kids something that isn't candy (normally fruit)

It includes a lot of assorted games depending on where you are (like apple bobbing) and traditional decorations include Jack-O-lanterns (the pumpkins carved with faces with a candle inside), spiderwebs, witches cauldrons... think croatoa really, you can tell they reused a lot of the halloween artwork from last year.

The real deal - Samhain

The day of the dead when the year too dies.

Samhain is the last day of autumn, and is the day when the boundaries between the mortal world and other worlds are at their weakest. The unquiet dead can return to walk, seeking redress for the wrongs done to them in life, and the Fae run riot.

Householders leave out offerings to try and appease the spirits in the hope they'll leave the household alone, and ward their homes as best they might (treats and jack-o-lanterns) and if you're a beliver, you celebrate the renewing of the year, even if it is technically a death-festival, since the dead are supposed to be returning.

On that note, Joyous Samhain to everyone, and where did I leave the salt...

No, it's a LARP tradition that states whenecer you mix more than 10 people and alcohol in the same place, someone will end up kissing someone else inappropriate.

Our LARP group has enshrined this in the doughnut sweepstakes, where everyone puts a doughnut in and bets on who they think will suffer a relationship crisis/nervous breakdown, and who will end up kissing who.

Only relationship crisies are no fun, we have too many at GG, so we'll have to bet on the kissing.

Empath, what's that MembrExp you've got slotted in Fort?

I've not done a full 50 slotup, but mine looks fairly close to yours. I've got fort Rechg, Rechg, Rechg, ToHit, ToHit, Def and RA Rechg, Rechg, Rechg, Endrec, Endrec, Endrec. I've not got additional slots in AP and my heals are (currently) Heal, Heal, Heal, Rechg, Rechg.

I'm a no-stamina build at the moment, and my only worry is needing to spec out my lesser used attacks to put it in. I didn't make it onto test, so I guess that's what I'm going to spend the next few days finding out.

As a random idea, how do people feel about a villains SG where everyone has a random toon and this being made available as a GM toolbox.

From memory it doesn't cost anything to change decorations, everything gets sold back at cost, so for "custom" offsite missions the player running the plot gets promoted to base editor, redoes the layout to match the place they want the mission to take place, and if combat/villains are required they are played by people who aren't directly involved in the plot by taking the toons to the face/icon and getting them to look the part.

The same (very sucessful) setup that most LARP's use really, let's people who can't be involved IC be involved OC as the monster crew, and gets round the problems with using random missions (namely the disparity of power levels)

It would mean that the entire "attacking" would probably need to be in the same supergroup. Whether that's a bad or a good thing (and indeed, whether the current RP supergroups merge to try and share costs) is something that's yet to be seen.

TG had a full list of every major option complete with the prestige cost, which I wish I'd remembered to save.

It let you get a fairly accurate basic cost before decorations, which is really useful for working out how much you'll be able to lay down in the near future and prioritsing your spend costs.

Are we going to hold it under the statue? I'd suggest a base but I don't know if everyone will have access by then (or incdeed, if anyone will have enough prestige in place to decorate a set)

I know we talked about this, and splitting some stuff off the monster does make sense so it doesn't get lost...
