  1. I recently decided to dust off a Bots/FF MM I had sitting around, and after doing some surfing through the boards thought I'd go with a Tankermind build. After some messing around with a build someone had posted, I got a regen bonus of 178%. To do this, however, I swapped the Leadership pool for Fighting. So, my question is, do you think it's a fair trade? The one drawback I see is that Maneuvers applies to my bots as well, but if I'm going for the tankermind build (and using provoke) wouldn't I be better off with Tough/Weave? Also, I can slot Boxing to give a 14% regen bonus.

Here's the basic build. Don't worry too much about the power/slot levels, I'm more looking for advice on the bonuses, and how this build would work for a Tankermind.

  2. I need the badge and the shard on my badger, but don't have the computer for the SG to start it. Would anyone be interested in running one of these anytime soon?
  3. I was wondering this, too, but for Rogues. Looked on the Wiki, but didn't see anything about which badges you needed to be a full Hero/Villain for. I don't know if it's not there, or I'm just bad at searching.

Edit: Looks like there's an answer in this thread: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=247261

The only problem with this is you're arguing with someone whose strongest arguments amount to the intelligence level of "I'm right because I'm right." She hasn't really been able to make a valid argument for anything in this discussion beyond that. I find it amusing that she's telling people that they don't understand what Star Wars is, when it's blindingly clear that she is the one who understands it least of all.

Just look at the two lines of dissenting opinions in this thread; You have JKedan, who can make a well thought, cohesive, and well stated argument for his opinion, and who can also admit that opinion might be colored by his dislike of the EU. Then you have GG, who basically stamps her feet, claiming to be right, while not being able to back it up with anything other than "because I said so," and just eggs people on because she can. Just let her believe she's right, and she'll wander away somewhere...

Yeah, I do understand what it is, probably better than you do given your inability to see beyond it. I understand that it's fiction, so even your arguments can't be considered valid, as there is no reality to argue about, just your interpretation of it. I also understand that you can't come up with an argument against my point. My argument is made wholly within the context of those movies. Whether they lived happily ever after is irrelevant.

And also, we are never told in the movies that the balance is restored at the end. We are never told that destroying the Sith is what balances it. So you are just speculating that the balance is restored. We know the universe is "free and happy," but we are shown nothing in the movie to say that the Force is balanced. And since the movies are all that matters...

At least JKredan was able to post a reasonable explanation, although if we use your reasoning, since that explanation wasn't given in the movies, it's not valid.

Which doesn't even remotely answer my question. You claim that balance is restored to the force by the death of the Emperor and Vader, and the wiping out of the Sith. So, at the end of the movies, you are left with only one side's view/philosophy of the Force, the Jedi, in the form of Luke. So explain to me how having only one viewpoint, with no opposition or counterpoint on something creates balance. That would be like saying if you were the only one having this discussion there would be a balanced viewpoint on whether or not the EU was valid.

So wiping out the Sith, therefore leaving only one philosophy/aspect/whatever of the Force creates balance? If you're only going by the movies then you only have the Jedi interpretation of the Force left at the end, with nothing to balance it out.

Stargeek has some posts further down that directed me to some Wiki pages that might help you.
  11. Sounds like fun. I'll guess 1,420,000,000. I mean 42 is the answer after all...
  12. One thing I would like would be for the bioluminate pieces to be two colors. For example, right now if I want a black/orange combo, I make the skin black, but the rest is basically orange on orange. I'd like to be able to make it all black on orange. This might also help the glow stand out more.

Overall, though, I think the new sets look very good.

That's actually kind of what I was going for. I thought that Jack would emerge as a white, or "good" version of smokey.

  15. So I guess the moral of this story is "Everything's on ParagonWiki!" Thanks a lot StarGeek, that will help immensely!
  16. Awesome! Thanks for that. You wouldn't happen to know if there's a color chart anywhere showing the hexidecimal values for the colors in the costume creator would you?
  17. Thanks for all the answers to question #2. Anybody out there have an answer to #1?
  18. I tried finding the old guide to binds thread, but it doesn't seem to be around anymore, so I have two questions about binds.

    1. While setting up some chat binds (i.e. "Gather for RA" etc...) I wasn't aware that it would display these with the normal black on white chat balloon. I would like this to display in a chat balloon with the same colors I have altered mine to with the in-game options. How exactly do I do this? Especially once you get away from the basic red, blue, etc...

    2. I have some characters that I haven't played for a while that I tried making binds for, but now I have no idea what they were. I also know that I made a few errors when trying, as these were my first attempts. How do I go about finding those old binds and deleting them?

Thanks in advance for any help!
  19. Thanks for the info. I guess it helps to be looking in the right place
  20. I am trying to get all of the villain only badges on the villain that I plan on switching sides with. I missed this accomplishment badge along the way, and I can't find it in Flashback. It's the mission "Catch the Freakshow debtor before he skips town" from Basse Croupier, who is a lvl 30-34 contact.

Would anyone happen to have this mission, or be able to get it that would be willing to let me tag along? Thanks in advance!
  21. Ok, I think I've pretty much got what I want worked out with the exception of the last purple set. I'm debating between a ranged set vs. a TAoE set, so the major differences would work out like so in the end;

    Ranged vs. TAoE
    +30.5% Recovery / +34.5% Recovery
    +26% Regeneration / +10% Regeneration
    +110% Accuracy / +125% Accuracy
    +12% Damage / +8% Damage

I'm not really leaning either way powers wise, so I'm just wondering based solely on the bonuses above, which you would think is a wiser choice. I'm not really good with applying the numbers. It would seem to me that the higher recovery/accuracy would be a better option, just wondering if that's correct.
  22. Cool. Thanks for all the information. This will definitely give me some good things to work with!
  23. If you've got the time, sure, go ahead and post your build. I always find it interesting to see what other people have done.
  24. Thanks for the quick feedback guys. I will definitely make some of the changes you suggested. One question, I tend to solo a lot of the time, and when I do, I find myself using Electrifying Fences + Burn quite often. Given that, do you still think it's the best idea to move the Armageddons from Burn to Footstomp? I put them in Burn because I figured that getting the damage bonus on each tick would be better, but if that's not the case I'll definitely move it.
  25. I've got a question on my build. A couple of things you should know; I'm not worried about PVP, pretty much only venture in there for badges. Given that, I know that the changes I'm asking about probably won't make much difference, but I'm just curious for an opinion. This is my main villain, and I'd just like to deck him out all nice. I'm also planning on taking him hero side when GR comes out.

So, the question I have on the build, is that I am thinking of two possible changes. 1)Replacing Hurl with Ball Lightning, which would cost me regen/damage and gain Recov/Acc. 2)Replacing Weave (with the LotG recharge) with Hasten. To do this, and 3 slot Hasten, I would have to remove a slot from Boxing and Healing Flames. So I'm wondering if removing that would be made up for by the recharge gained with Hasten.

I know the build is expensive, but I've got 99% of it already (thanks to a generous friend that quit the game). Also, you can ignore the slotting levels, I just went down the line for the purpose of this.

Thanks in advance for looking. Here's the build
