  1. I had a similar idea. You would be able to gain a proper "sidekick", rather than the temporary player sidekicks we have now. Like in SWTRO, the "sidekick" would be a good conduit for weakness and story - for instance, by having the sidekick kidnapped or vulnerable to permadeath (this should not easily happen) the player should be more protective of them.

No, giving maths teachers inherant powers is bad, ok.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Would that make it a villain only powerset, then?
  3. It's certainly a shame. IMO if it's good enough for Warhammer... http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d8...withguitar.jpg

Hobnobs are, to quote a Mr Peter Kay, the SAS of the biscuit world.

    [/ QUOTE ]

There's a Biscuit World? Mmmm... that must be where all the gingerbread houses come from!
  5. Cookie powers? Varying degrees of buscuitiness? I think Hobnobs should be the ultimate biscuit, with those crappy Nice biscuits as the lowest level one, you know, the one you HAVE to take, even though you think it sucks?
  6. "Power of Rock"?

I'm sure Manowar have all the names you will ever need for powers.

Personally I've always wondered how the (bleep) the masked people see throught the masks. Even if they're fairly see-through it's still a huge risk to limit your sight like that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Here's the secret (and I'll whisper it because it's a touchy subject) *it's not real*.

I'll be over here, with the robotic horde. Y'know, when you want to do some REAL damage. Sheesh.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's proper irony. Took me ages to get it :/

Get REAL! Get NUMBERS! Get real numbers... or integers, I'm not fussy.

I have to say, though, that I'm equally enamoured with the idea of other abstract concepts. The idea of trapping someone within an existential paradox or bamboozling them with a conundrum certainly appeals to me and my brainy scientific boffin characters.
  9. Hey! No hijacking! Make your own "Trainspotting Powerset" thread!

    Tier 9: Numberwang

    [/ QUOTE ]

We should explain what numbervang ist for our foreign amigos.
  11. That's right. Numbers.

    Numerical blast
    Mathematical cataclysm
    Shield of Calculus
    Power of Pi!
    etc

... on that note, you could do Alphabetical or Linguistic Powersets too... or a grammatical one which is just apostrophes, commas, question marks and full stops (question points and periods for our yankee readers).
  12. Am I missing it, or is there no video card model/driver software version?

    New Day Jobs

Costume parts/accessories for day jobs makes a lot of sense.
  14. Crey - for the "enemy within" element you just don't get anywhere else. The models are [censored] and the powers are OTT but the concept is great!

Rikti Monkeys - best enemy in the game, I love that they are the weakest mob, especially on my energy blaster. Let's see those monkeys FLY!
  15. I like CoR. I'm going with that.
  16. I think that if you DO take aid self, make sure to slot with anti-interrupts. My blaster needs to change from +healing to -interrupt :/
  17. Hero2

    Merits

In all fairness, you did mention it in your first post. I must have missed it.

    GFX setup

I agree, I am currently getting by with my single Nvidia 6800GTS, although I upgraded by RAM from 2GB to 4GB.
I am able to run CoH at full spec with all the bells and whistles on at a high resolution.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Can your computer actually handle all 4 GB or does it cap out around 3?
  19. Nobody asked Positron this question
  20. Hero2

    Merits

Wouldn't this encourage armies of fire/kin destruction to farm merits, then transfer them to less efficient but more interesting characters? (I realise there's a lot of irony that this might occur but I have no doubt whatsoever that it would)
  21. It says above

NOTE: The series of five "Builder" badges were bugged when Issue 14 was released, but were fixed later. They are listed with the other AE badges for continuity.

That would be good if it happened, but remember that it's a 45-50 TF so the entire zone would be very grey to people on it. Other than travelling through, and maybe doing a quick "defeat 20 Council for info" as part of the TF, TF teams wouldn't be able to find anything to actually do in Boomtown.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Unless they revamped the map.

Oh wait... it's easier to add new zones

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why not just delete the unused zones and save us all some hard drive space, then?

I was interested in this stuff...

    [/ QUOTE ]

My hunch is that power customisation gets announced later this year, but they don't want to say anything in case it isn't as viable as they think.

It's great to see Posi do a Q&A like this, especially with EU folks in there. The recent PR has been awesome.
