Could it just be a display bug?
-
I think it's just patrols, maybe?

It is impossible to find good missions already,
[/ QUOTE ]
Difficult but not impossible. I've definitely seen a subculture of writers taking part in the "Mission Architect" chat channel. -

3) Remove inf from MA missions that arent devs choice.
inf doesnt fit the theme anyway, the mobs are supposed to be hologramms, why should they give something apart from xp and tickets anyway ?
[/ QUOTE ]Inf is not money.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, it is. -
Come on Dave, I have one arc left to write and I don't want it to have a Scooby Doo ending. Stop giving me ideas.

It helps make things more fun if whenever an NC rep says 'soon' a little voice in your head starts singing 'In the year 2525'...

I bought that on vinyl. Now I'm depressed... -
Just one week to go! I guess you could see this as a reminder.

I thought we were supposed to have the messageboards merges with the US of America's boards, or am I just remembering wrongly? I find it especially inconvenient to not be able to natter with our yankee brethren now that we share content with them. Were the boards to be merged we would be able to not only chatter with them regarding the newfangled Mission Architect, but we may be able to make statements on a messageboard which is actually viewed by personages who make changes to the game itself.

Could do with maps with spawn points and how the game interprets them (front, middle, back) and whether the mobs or objects will spawn there... oh never mind.
Some american is bound to have done it.

Farming generates huge amounts of influence that never leaves the market. This causes the prices of rarer items to keep rising continuously, since the piling up of inf makes its perceived value to drop.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. The money supply is infinite - this is a problem. There will always be more and more money pumped into the economy because the design is such that there is never any limit. As farming continues, the amount of money in circulation explodes, and when nobody is spending (partially because items are scarce, partially because they can buy what they want using other means (merits/tickets)) the value of money descreases.
This is inflation (you might want to think of it as involuntary Quantitative Easing or Currency Devaluation). -
I may as well throw my arcs into the lobster pot.
Dear Mister Col.
I would very much appreciate it if you could cast your barometric eye over my humble mission arcs, the details of which can be seen in my signature below.
Yours sincerely,
Hero 2. -

Apparently even parody of farming doesn't go well with the mods.

That's funny, because farming itself appears to go fine. -

Lets conspire . . . . . where has she gone . . . . . .

Oooh!, ... where HAS she gone?

I'm voting for the maternity ward.
Anyway, while she's away there's nobody to moderate, NOBODY AT ALL!
MUAHAHAHA! -
Why isn't HoF just the top rated 10 arcs? It doesn't have to be a fixed threshold of stars.
-
The HoF is destined to be full of rubbish, since most people who play story arcs are discerning and will mark down and fools who chain farm arcs go "N1c3 Ph4r/\/\ m4t3, 5 stars!!!!11".
Muu's arc appeals to both of these types of player to some degree, although personally I thought it was pretty much a one mission gag stretched way beyond it's mark. -

Yet another invasion event going on for a bit too long than it should with no discernable affect on the city?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, copy all Rikti invasion content (if we're lucky) and change the models to 5th column nazis, then do a search and replace on text "Rikti" to "5th Column".
This is the zenith of my expectations. Let's see something better, eh? -
This is what Hero 1 says about this stuff, though personally, I agree with you that the total would still be the same.
[ QUOTE ]
Is there a point at which you see the amount of content becoming a problem in and of itself?
Not really. We have a lot of good systems that scale well for our content. Storage size is not an issue -- they're small little text files. We did the math: if everyone in the in the game made three mission arcs and maxed out their file size for stuff we would store 9GB on the server. In the day and age where a terabyte is a hundred bucks, 9GB is not that big of a deal. That's not really the issue. If anything it's more of an issue the amount of content that starts to go back and forth through the network. And we're good right now, we're doing a lot of stuff in beta to keep memory issues controlled. There's a lot of code stuff: they're working on it to make it run smooth is how it translates to.

the majority of players are American and, well, probably not that clever. There, I said it!
[/ QUOTE ]
And said it wrongly
[/ QUOTE ]
That's right, you said it wrongly. I think what you mean to say is, "Most americans are thick". -
One feature which I would like on the mission searcher "filter out all arcs containing defeat all". And that would solve this issue as far as I'm concerned.
[edit]typo -
I would describe that as more of a slope than a slink.

I imagine it looks a little pedestrian.

I'd rather get "PLd" in an 8 man lvl 50 team than play solo/duo in a "my level" team any day.
[/ QUOTE ]
The legacy of the 8 man team haunts CoH. It's my firm belief that WoW got this (among many other things) right. 5-man is just right.
As for soloing, it's okay, and gives you time to read missions, which is something I really enjoy. Sadly, teams tend to have at least on impatient kid in them - and I'm as guilty as any other these days, since it's what I've come to expect in group play, I rush through without reading. -
With interviews like this revealing content which CoH doesn't have a prayer of matching (given the time before release, and the willingness shown by the devs in the past to avoid such issues), I can't help but think there's an exodus on the cards.

How about a floor length skirt, to allow some of the more classic ball gown style cossies?

... I'll put myself into the minds of the developers...
BLASPHEMY! Blasphemy! Stone the infidel! How dare you speak of such a thing?!
...as you can see, they're still of the 1980s heavy metal chainmail bikini mindset.
Oops, does that mention "Age of Conan" there? Just ignore that. Well, I suppose it goes to show that all male dominated mediums are going to have lots of nekkid (or near nekkid) women.
