the "face mask" from the last pic is a combat aura from the Cyborg Super Booster Pack

sweet, one more part to improve one of my characters, now all I need is just a couple pieces to be tights sleek on bottoms with skin and some of my characters will look matching (looks at herri's oddly matched tights sleek top and tights bottom with skin)

sweet! long over due for one of these!

Ok here's my ideas on it.

Marathon 1
Marathon 2
Marathon 3
Marathon 4

I personally would go with 1, as it's closest to Synapse I think. I chose to have him with armor as even though he is a runner/messenger, he is still a super-powered one, so I figured he'd think to be armed and protected. The helmet I think hits as a good replacement for Synapses full covered head. Nothing really fitting for goggles. I chose to have crest on it, but you possibly remove it for a more rounded look.

For 2 I switched the the base color to the grey metal in case you though to have his base armor that same color but with the different red and blue highlights.

For 3 I made the armored pieces all red and grey, to match kind of a pattern that Imperious and Daedulus use in that their armor pieces are always two toned.

And 4 I just reversed the red and grey.

Again I like 1 first off as it's closest to Synapse I'd think as the grey are highlights and the blue and reds are him main colors, but even 2 serves well with a bit more grey, as it makes the base all one color, which makes sense as well.

Hope this helps in sparking some ideas.

that's the guy, he posted it in the Magic Pack thread a ways back. The thread is still around I think.

Synapse will be hard to reproduce due to how the red and blue blends for his look. The Cimerorans tend to use solid looks for their counterparts so I'd try and follow that pattern, find some way of using red blue and grey while using the Cim armor parts, possibly use the Spring Event Hellenic Sandals like everyone has suggested.

I'll try and take a crack at it when I get home tonite.

bartering is a nice way for artz exchange yup. I've done it once with subscriptions on dA. I think it works well.

grrr so hard to pick...

but I have to go with Lousy_Day. It looks so classic yet fits so well. Projectionist, Alex, Foo and Tacky Tricky were right behind.

oddly enough yeah, that's Christian for you. There's only a few films where he doesn't talk like that much. American Psycho is one of them, although you hear it a few times. Even in his films as a kid you can kinda hear it, Newsies and Swing Kids. Still pretty good acting regardless.

took a stab at it and came up with this. Made a slight change. I thought the assassin plus top seemed to have that fancy mithril theme to it so I went with that.

And the color that seems good to me for gold is shown in the screenie.

the soundtrack from the new Star Trek movie, and pretty much the soundtracks from all the other ST movies and series, as well as the CDs from Brent Spiner, Nichelle Nichols, Tim Russ, and James Darren. yeah I'm on a ST kick at the moment, will probably die down in a couple weeks lol

the golden hue that always caught my eye is on bass-ackwards' character Valkyrior. They posted it in the Magic Booster thread awhile ago and I bookmarked it as I thought I could use it for a look for Flame on the redesign game thing we did in the other thread.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread as I have an Sun Folk elf, called Lightfoot, that I play now and then that's trapped here. Her bio and backstory and what not may be just as campy as your idea Des. A few friends wanted to run some elves, so I made an elf. lol I haven't really figured out a more modern look for her yet. Luckily I don't play her quite enough to worry about that as a costume yet. But it's something I had thought of and had stumped me.
