Lots of awesome to sift through this month my friends! Great submissions and a little too tough to call for this FanBoi!

This month make sure you get the word out that every SINGLE member of the COH forums is eligible to vote. New to the forums, lurker to the fanart section, doesn't matter.

Out of the 11 entries below please select the ONE that, in your opinion, best recreates the mood/feeling/vibe of the classics linked next to the entries. (try to remember, you're voting for the piece, not the artist)

*****The links to the left are the entries. The links to the right are the masterpieces they chose to recreate*****

<ul type="square">[*]John_Printemps' recreation of "The Son Of Man" by René Magritte
<ul type="square">[*]Juggertha's recreation of "The creation of Adam" by Michelangelo
<ul type="square">[*]Tartyrsause's recreation of "The creation of Adam" by Michelangelo
<ul type="square">[*]Lousy_Day's recreation of "The creation of Adam" by Michelangelo
<ul type="square">[*]The_Foo's recreation of "Action comic cover" by Joe Shuster
<ul type="square">[*]Projectionist's recreation of "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper
<ul type="square">[*]ImagesByAlex's recreation of "Nymphes et Satyre" by William Bouguereau
<ul type="square">[*]Toxic_Shia's recreation of "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci
<ul type="square">[*]Crestent's recreation of "Tors strid med jättarne" by Mårten Eskil Winge
<ul type="square">[*]Aprosaath's recreation of "Pierrot the Musician" by Gino Severini
<ul type="square">[*]Tacky_Tricky's recreation of "Pequenas" by Alphonso Mucha
Some notes:

<ul type="square">[*]Lousy_Day carries immunity this month from elimination as the winner of April's challenge
<ul type="square">[*]Unfortunately Xertul was unable to post an entry in time and is therefore eliminated
<ul type="square">[*]There is however one elimination to go. The artist with the lowest amount of votes will be eliminated. In case of a tie, we will have a vote off between those who are tied!
Although not in the running for the contest any longer, may i present:

<ul type="square">[*]milkweasel's recreation of Molotov Flower Bomber by Banksy
Remember to get the word out and make sure everyone votes this month!

Voting will be closed on June 1st - midnight PST! or the next day. I have family obligations on the 31st but i will try to get the votes counted up as soon as i can in case of a tie.

All my best to each of the entrants!

Lousy Day

With Alex and The Foo as runner ups.

(is there an unsaid rule that states TA must be in every other piece ?)

this is a damned toughy.

Gonna have to go with projectionist though, it was just a great idea and well executed.

honorable mentions to tricky tacky, was great to see a finished picture. and lousy day did another great job .

everyone should be proud of whats there though. they are all great pictures.

but the real winner was TA he made out like a bandit :P

Tacky_Tricky, with Alex a very close second.

Lousy_Day

He really conveyed the literal "classic" feel.

If I were voting for prettiest, I would pick Tacky_Tricky.

Lousy_Day wins my vote, though Projectionist came really close.

grrr so hard to pick...

but I have to go with Lousy_Day. It looks so classic yet fits so well. Projectionist, Alex, Foo and Tacky Tricky were right behind.

This is horrifically hard. I was so sure I was going to pick Projectionist.... until Tacky_Tricky came along. I LOVE that he captured the beautiful feel of the art neuveau original, definitely capturing the spirit and adding the CoX character..... argh.....

Eeeegh....

O.O

Tacky_Tricky!

Oh my good lord.

Projectionist's version of Nighthawks is simply -AMAZING-

I was just browsing these forums before school, and I am instantly a fan. Nighthawks has always been my favorite painting, but even with that bias, that is just a beautiful rendition.

My vote all the way, Projectionist!

I consulted my Warhammer 40k dice collection this month, after whittling it down to just 6 entries.

30d6s went in. It took a while, and because I was trying not to be loud, it wasn't near as deafening as it usually is when I bust out these dice for an epic barrage of pulse-rifle fire, and yet it still had that same feel. And even with 30 dice on the table, there still ended up being a tie that had to be settled by my lucky aqua die for a Hand of Fate roll.

And fate chose ImagesbyAlex, in a very close contest and by one die roll.

For the record, it was hard as hell to narrow it down to just six, too. If next month is just as interesting as this month ended up, I may develop ulcers!

Bit of a Michelangelo overload this month.

I'm gonna have to vote for Lousy_Day

1st: Toxic_Shia's recreation of "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci, because it made me smile.

Close 2nd: Projectionist, because its a really awesome looking piece.

I'm voting for me because screw the rest of you guys!

Projectionist's recreation of "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper gets my vote

Good lord. Every piece is amazing.

I think for sheer epicness I have to go with Crestent. Also, because I am biased and easily swayed by having my girl in there. Ah, who am I kidding, really, it's the goats!

Runners up have to be Projectionist (holy wow!), Tricky Tacky, and Alex.

But dang, every one of those entries was fabulous. Too hard to pick, you people are too talented! I'm glad I finally poked my head in here, I assumed these threads were only for artists.

It was a *really* close call on this one! *REALLY* close!

I choose Lousy_Day's rendition of "The Creation Of Adam"

The clouds! The Brush-strokes! The Texture!

With Tacky_Tricky's "Pequenas" and Projectionist's "Nighthawks" both very close behind!

Best Month, Yet!

Projectionist's take on "Nighthawks" gets my vote, but that was a *hard* pick. Everyone did great stuff this month.

I usually catch these things after the close date, so I'm happy to put my vote in for...

ImagesByAlex's recreation of "Nymphes et Satyre" by William Bouguereau!

I really enjoyed how Alex captured the lines and playfulness of the original piece while creating a scene that is very different.

Great work!

Yeah tough one ... I will go with

ImagesByAlex's recreation of "Nymphes et Satyre" by William Bouguereau

eventhough I really liked Lousy_day's piece.
