  3. Well just minor changes will add around 100 hp and some extra regen. However, I have never been able to just sit there while lvl 54s pounded on me and survive for long so not sure how you managed before unless somehow the mobs were AE mobs with just low damage S/L attacks or something.

  6. Here is my defalut slotting for WP. Mainly +HP and +Regen. Attacks can be used for whatever you wish. Can slot Kinetic combat for extra S/L defense, purples for recharge. Now granted no fly for travel power but for me I would rather give up the easy travel mode for a little extra defense as well as a spot to put some more LoTG sets.

  8. I thought the thread was about making people ask you nice before you buff them, not the pros and cons of SB.
  9. Yes they do need a revamp. They should still have those 1 billion damage badges out there. Badges are not a required part of the game so why not put those back in addition to fixing the issue with only damage taken past your base HP counting.
  10. The whole AE system is just a tool to use. Like most tools there are limitations on what can be done. However, in the right hands, even simple tools can produce greatness. Conversly, even the best tools in the hands of someone that has no idea how to use them will hardly ever produce anything worth while.

Getting upset over the difficulty of custom critters in the AE and blaming the AE itslef is like hiring a crappy carpenter and then blaming Craftsman for the poor work becasue they were the ones who made his tools.

My advice would be to not play arcs made for 1-54 unless you are 50. Find something in your level range. Also if you are looking for a story and not a farm, do not search for short or very short. That will eliminate most of the crap out there.
  11. HelinCarnate

    Fury Equation

I think the reason why, is so that we have some goal to shoot for. I did obtain 100% fury one time for a split second. I was already nearly maxed out and the aggro cap of mobs all seemed to have their attack cycle time up just right and they all hit me at once. This was on an AE all boss farm back in the day before they were nerfed. I saw my damage reach +200% and then I promptly died. Guess WP is just not built for massive spike damage.
  12. HelinCarnate

    Fury Equation

Ahh you are looking for the riddle of fury. But flesh is stronger than fury. (As long as said flesh is made out of stone, having not only a high defense but a high resistance to damage as well)

My only suggestion on how to get a good sample would be to make a custom critter with no attacks and a ton of HP. Fraps a fight with them and then you could calculate each tick of increased and decreased damage. Lots of work and Im too lazy to do it but it should work. In theroy.

So by repeating the same behavior you indeed prove that you cannot learn, at least not from your mistakes. Thank you for the clarification. There were some that were mistaken and thought you could learn.
  14. Yup, and it is not just WP. Any offensive toggle that does anything to the mobs will drop when stunned, held or if you are asleep. AAO drops since it has -damage, any damage toggle as well as cloak of fear and oppressive gloom. If you feel bad on a WP, just think how my spine/dark feels. 4 Toggles that are just about useless in pvp but are great in pve.
  15. So I was on my tanker the other day and decided to not take the alpha unless someone asked me to by saying please and then said thank you after each spawn. I would still fight but I would either wait until someone asked nice or someone else ran in first. I belive that me taking the alpha is a gift and not a necessity since tanks are not "needed" on a team.

At work I will also not do my job unless my boss comes up to me and tells me to do it and then says thank you every time. For some reason I keep getting fired and having to find new jobs.

Not sure how you do math but you are wrong.

Yes you are right about Clobber. I forgot about the upgrade as I have not played WM, and now Clobber has DPA of 92.27.

    DPA for ET is 68.61
DPA for KO Blow is 66.18
    DPA for Incinerate is 60.78
    DPA for Gloom is 71.04

In what world is 71.04 lower than 68.61?

The only time KO Blow beats Gloom is if you factor in rage on KO blow but not on Gloom. That is a bit inaccurate since if you have KO Blow you will probably also have rage and rage is not selective in the powers that it enhances. The only time ET beats Gloom is if you factor in self damage. Not exactly accurate there either. The only time Incinerate beats Gloom is in some fantasy world where 60 comes after 70.

So Gloom is number 3 on the list of attack powers for brute not number 2. I was one off, sorry about that.

All DPA numbers are based off Arcanatime with the actual damage numbers, not including the damage ET does to yourself.

edit cuz i cant speel gud

Like I've said earlier, I don't tend toward playing the market mini-game. As a rule I slot what drops, but occasional I want to use the market to get a specific piece of salvage or something, especially with the intro of the temp combat powers. On blue side, that tended to be difficult at best, but at least on red side it could be done more times than not. This change - and I truly hope to be proven wrong - is going to benefit a specific group of players to the detriment of all the others.

I think the devs have based this idea solely on "ease of maintainability" with little regard towards the player base as a whole.

But that's just me. I guess we'll see when the dust settles in September or Novemeber.
So you don't know how the markets are manipulated but you know that having an increased supply will somehow increase the prices and make it easier for market manipulators to profit?

I have to say I don't really see someone who would use Wal Mart, happily buying stolen goods in a car park (which is the equivalent of this merger).

But it's a game so whatever. I never thought redside was expensive because I play there more.

Can only presume this was more due to technical issues more than anything else. It's a shame they gave everyone so much notice though because the price gougers are going to have a field day.

You would not be buying stolen goods from a car park. Instead the black market has expanded and has been able to steel items from WW. Also they have managed to set up a front company to list items at WW through "heroes" that may not be so heroic after all. Just because a former villian is now a hero does not mean they can do no wrong. It may mean they have not been caught being bad yet. If you are so keen on RP then use your imagination.

Also please explain how price gougers will have a field day. Just because you say it does not make it true.

  23. Skip a free respec?
    Skip a shield for squishies?
Skip a ranged attack for melee? Even if it is the only patron attack you take, gloom is the highest DPA attack for a brute outside of Seismic Smash.

Sorry but for the story on each of those you end up betraying your patron and kicking the crap out of them. So what arc in RWZ lets you do that and be even more evil?

Agree. Many active players will still use mail as storage, at least for money. Currently there is still no way to store your funds in a bank. One option you have is to make another toon that you may or may not play, leveling them up to 10 so they can send email, and having them hold the money. The other is to make sure you grab your funds and send another email to yourself every 20 days or so. The second option is much easier for most.
