  1. I have a sneaking suspicion that the only way that outfit would be any "tighter" and more comic-accurate would be if she'd used shiny latex body paint instead of fabric... and what she's wearing in the photo is already risky enough for walking around at a con, wouldn't you say? (Unless she wanted to go Silver Age instead of the modern design.)

Seriously, awesome work pulling this one off! Voted multiple times already.
  2. On sale: Teen Titans revival and Kitty Pryde joins the X-Men!

Cover: Death of the Dark Phoenix!

    Thundergod

I really wish we'd gotten more than the one scene of Thor wearing his helmet. (Seriously, it looks awesome!) All of the Asgardian costumes and such actually look really good, in fact, even when walking down a street on Earth. Sif and the Warriors Three striding through town looking for Thor was a bit silly, but never so much that it took me out of the movie; it was just fun!

And one aspect that I'm immensely grateful to the creators of this movie for... it's a completely self-contained story while still leaving open the possibility for more. Even though we know Thor's coming back for The Avengers, the movie isn't written as though it expects future projects involving the characters and continuing the story, which is something that a lot of burgeoning wannabe film franchises fail at (Jumper or Push, anyone?). There are no dangling plot threads by the end. If there were no sequels or other Avengers-related projects, I think Thor would still stand well on its own.
  4. Why do you think I'm catching the midnight screening?

Alright, technically 12:01 counts as Friday, BUT I'M IGNORING THAT!!
  5. Okay, that Cap poster is pure liquid awesome.

    Dark Nella: Tron

Dark Nella takes a moment out from her reign of terror and destruction to express her utter disdain for the original Tron and all the nerdiness it represents...

    End of line.
  7. The JLI is officially back in business. New ongoing monthly series coming later this year. I are happy.

  9. I don't think anyone's posted this here yet...

  10. Oh! And for anyone who also picked up the final issue of Justice League: Generation Lost... who else got excited about the last page??
  11. I was surprised at how pleased I was at the reveal of Constantine's official return to the DCU proper on the last page. Maybe reintroducing he and Abby Arcane (is she still around?) to ol' Swampy will remind him of the sanctity of all life... though it seems pretty clear that all of the guys in that boardroom were scumbags.

Odd that in the White Lantern's eyes Hawk "failed" his mission. How exactly was he supposed to catch the boomerang, anyway? From what the Lantern said, it seemed like the plan all along was for Boston to die again saving Dove, so... what was the point? Ah well, at least Dove and Deadman can still talk to each other.

I agree it kinda sucks that after all Carter and Shiera went through in this series, breaking the curse that bound their immortal souls and all that, that he ends up losing her again. But I don't know... Swamp Thing seemed to indicate that she may not actually be dead, she just stayed as an air elemental for some reason. Their story might not be over yet after all.
  12. Has anyone else had this problem? Occasionally I'll click on the entrance to a mission (though once it actually happened while trying to take the train to another zone), get the generic loading screen for a while, then get kicked back to where I started from with a message saying that there's no longer a connection, leaving me to quit the game and try again. Which never helps.

So far this has happened on one mission in two different blueside TFs, where I ended up having to wait outside the mission entrance until the rest of the team finished. After that there were no further such issues in each case. But the real pain was during the Respec WST last night, where the same thing happened on THE LAST MISSION. You know, the one that basically consists of half the content for that particular trial?

I ask again: has anyone else encountered this issue?

    DC's gotta pimp their merch!
  14. Might be kinda fun if Gaga herself actually came out on stage to perform this alongside Al during one of his concerts. Supposedly she got a huge kick out of the song when she finally got to hear it.

This one reminds me of "Smells Like Nirvana," in a way...
  15. Yeah, he's basically got all the same powers as Nightcrawler. Only he's red. And has apparently decided to just go ahead and embrace the whole "demonic" shtick he's got going.

If you're talking about the scene I think you're talking about, I'm pretty sure that was Nightcrawler's father rather than Toad.
  17. Planet of the Dead pretty well stands on its own. The only thing that relates to the rest of it is a prediction/prophesy that the Doctor recieves at the end which mentions what Ood Sigma said about his song ending soon. And that, "He will knock four times."

I suspect it has something to do with the Skrull invasion/infiltration that will presumably get some of the spotlight in Season 2. We know that at least he and Mockingbird are somewhat aware of what's going on there.
  19. "Ultron! We would have words with thee."

    Dag, yo.
  20. Interesting that the Empty Child, the Weeping Angels and the Vashta Nerada are all creations of Moffat's... isn't it?

Well, if you count the late-night early screenings at some theaters...
  22. Hmm... might have something to do with the original costume slot being "locked" into the Arachnos uniform. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.

Reddy has been blowed up or otherwise dismantled quite a few times in recent years. Maybe his Air Elemental-ness leaked out during one of the periods where he was just a head or something? The White Lantern does say that the Elementals have lost their guidance...
  24. No, you've got it right. The tier 4 Alpha requires two different tier 3 boosts to craft.
