Yeah I just saw it on youtube when I watched the new transformers trailer. It looks cool, just Fox has neutered my excitement for Xmen with X 3. I'll probably see it but its not at the top of my list by any means.

On one hand I really really hope this film surprises us and gives us an awesome X-men movie with balanced action and characterization. On the other hand, I kind of hope it falls flat and finally encourages Fox to release its death-grip on this property so it reverts back to Marvel.

Ok that trailer was much better than the international one they put up last week.

The trailers to the movie have convinced me to go watch it but I still refuse to get my hopes high for it.

Also why wasn't it called X-Men Origins: X-Men?

Too redundant even for Fox?

Ok I know who most of them were, but who is the guy with the thing in his chest? Also who is the guy that is standing next to Charles when the 5 of them are standing together in their yellow and black costumes, he is the one you see flying downward.

Cancel the kitchen scraps for widows and lepers, no more merciful beheadings and call off christmas!

Havok and Banshee respectively, I believe.

Okay so I was thinking about this film just now and it's obvious that the climax revolves around the Cuban Missile Crisis, and they're probably going to make that the turning point in the relationship between Xavier and Magneto as well. From the trailer it seems like this early team of X-Men is going to stop a launch against the USA, so maybe the thing that splits them for good is the reaction to the fact that mutants somehow get blamed for the whole thing anyway. What's more, this film taking place in the past could result in this placement of blame being the foundation for legitimate widespread fear of the mutants. Magneto could even take it further by taking responsibility for the incident to make humans fear mutants.

You are correct. In the comics Havok's costume used to help hm control his powers.
