Just as a public service announcement, performance is never EVER the deciding factor of what the devs will or will not do. The resources in question are development resources, not technical resources.

No, I'm not posting this in Suggestions & Ideas. Shut up.
What we need is a Courier Man store-like NPC! You talk to him and you can send yourself all sorts of crap to global e-mail, in the Character Items section. Consider the benefits:
- It could bypass the 15s e-mail cooldown, since you're just sending items to yourself anyway.
- You can send yourself more than 20 items at a time.
- You can send yourself items that otherwise can't be peeled off of your character (but should be), such as Enhancement Converters, Catalysts, Boosters and Unslotters.
-
Sounds like someone's in need of rolling redside instead of blueside.
-
There actually is an algorithm for pleasing everyone. It's written in a forgotten language around the inside of the holy grail, one of the items in the ark of the covenant, which is either on Terra Australis or got lost in the mail.

I deal with alt-itis by playing with a single character for several levels until I feel like it's time for a change and then level a different one for a while.
Wait, I think I'm altitising wrong. O-: -
I use AE all the time. The Rare Salvage you can buy with tickets is hot hot HOT right now.

Ah, right. Yeah, if something has like 40% resistance to Smashing and you hit it with a -20% debuff, it will show something like "28% to Smashing" and "-20% from Whatever" in the Combat Attributes window.

Just thought I'd chime in to say that this is SSA1, not 7. (-:
Issue 23 will be kicking off SSA2, though! -

Quote:But but... !I will never understand why so many people are so willing to shout "LFT" but utterly unwilling to shout "Forming team".
I always make a point to say "Hey, looks like you guys have a pretty good start right there!" and... they usually don't end up forming a team together. -

Quote:And what part of my argument focused on finding a preexisting team? The game does not exist in theory, it exists in reality. It is played by real people. If real players have problems finding a team then there is a problem finding a team.
Of course those aren't as common redside: there aren't as many people redside. But does that make it impossible or even difficult to team? It certainly doesn't. Look at all the other posts in this thread sharing their experiences forming teams redside.
The problem is the people; the ones who say "I want someone to invite me to their team" in a setting where it's quite unlikely to happen that way. In what convoluted route of problem solving can that be interpreted as a problem with the system? -
Quote:"Snide" isn't quite what I was going for. It's not intense enough... More like "jerk-faced obnoxious jackhole with an attitude problem."Yeah, that's way too pat, unless you're merely trying to be snide. Not everyone enjoys building the team.
People being unwilling to form teams, frankly, is not a deficit of redside in any conceivable context. It's the deficit of the people who play redside, or in this case, don't play redside and instead run back to blueside where people will hold their hand.
I thought I was joking when I suggested people who can't find a team redside were just waiting for an invitation to drop into their laps. But as this thread progressed, and the more people I talked to about it in-game, the more I've found that's exactly what's going on.
Everyone, know this and learn it well, for it is the summary of the matter: anyone who claims to have a problem with redside teaming is expecting something to be served to them on a silver platter. -
-
Looks like we've settled the dispute, then! The moral of the story is: redside teaming is fine. No, we don't need more co-op zones. No, blueside teams aren't better/easier. You want a team, then stop sucking your thumb and invite some people.
-
They've been doing that since I started playing in 2006. |-:

Assuming you're telling the truth, you must have had +HP and +Regen out the roof. I even went to Rikti War Zone and found a -4 Sapper, which still did too much damage. He eventually got bored and went away.

I think dumpster diving is about to make a big comeback. Just add Singularity and grab some popcorn.
-
Is this entire thread out of touch? Has anyone actually tried forming a team redside, or has everyone just stood around watching the Broadcast channel hoping for someone to announce a team looking for more?

Aha! So you ARE marketing!
