  1. Happened to me as well. What looks good stationary can look horrific in action. Such an option is a good I could approve of.
  2. Happy cakeday even if the cake is gone by now.
  3. I find these bugs so anoying that i havent played my crabs/bane since they appeared (the bugs).

In other places, tags work just fine and are far more self-explanatory

    [HUMOR] - humorous arc
[HERO]/[VILLAIN] - for heroes or villains.
    [HARD] - very difficult arcs
[KHELDIAN]/[SOA] - arcs intended for epic ATs

and so on. The only problem with them is someone will always try to put every tag that applies in their title, so you end up with something titled...

    [SG][HERO][HUMOR][KHELDIAN][BORK][BORK][BORK] Not enough charact

and then they run out of letters in the title.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That might work depending on how much space you got. Though it is a bit long for my taste.

Um...there are German and French servers, you know? And if it's Spanish/Dutch/Liechtensteinan players with little English speaking ability, then they're going to have trouble understanding the whole game, let alone the MA.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The MA system is for every server at the same time. This does include french and german servers.
  6. But zero G pack is also a nice travel power. Faster then normal running and asble to jump pretty high walls and small buildings. Very handy in places like Skyway or the Hollows.

I would take one look at such coding, think "WTH is that gibberish?", and choose a different arc...

Sorry, but... no. Silly idea really... What's wrong with English?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nothing. But i think a lot of people want to use the description to tell about their story. Use that probably limited space to say.

Highly Deadly yet slightly Humorous story where you will be tested against every Arch Villian I could find.

Might be another way of saying exactly the same. However it would take for more space. While a fast code could perhaps even be used in the title.

Plus not every user will be english. I am sure that german and or french players with little english reading ability (and i have met a few of those) are not interested in grandiose english prose but might be tempted to do a good deathtrap mission.

    Some toons

Nice gallery, wish I had half your talent.
  9. With MA coming I realized we need a system to differentiate between the various entries, because some like good stories, where others want an alternative way to level up. Some want to prove themselves against every AV in the game and others love to create diabolical missions. Now you can do a lot in a good description but what I think is that we need is a code system that is easy enough to understand and precise enough to tell us what to expect.

Some categories I had in mind:
story (where one tries to tell a nice story)
humor (Take this story with a pinch of salt)
aV (here be Arch Villains for you to slaughter. Bring friends)
deathtrap (how much thought is put into making this mission as deadly as possible)
canon (do we try to stick to the CoH universe or go way beyond the scope)
puzzle (here thinking is required to solve the mission)

And then with a rating form 0 to 2 (0 not important, 1 neutral, 2 purpose of the arc )

So for example my Archvillain simulator of ultimate doom.
Would have the code: s0h1A2d2c1p1 or for short: a2d2

Any ideas? Suggestions? Comments? Improvements to the system? Ways to help implement this or a similar system?

    Most inf!

120 mill on Grinning Spade (lucky Purple drop). Used some of it up on a purple set of myself.
  11. Good thing there!

Hope loads of people will attend this contest. About time villains can show of as well!

    I try to be there.
  12. Will the mission ever be created?
Will Captain Dynamic ever meet face to face?
What happens if you touch the awesome button?

Same Dynamic Time, Same Dynamic Channel!

    Just wondering:

What has fixing the civilians anything to do with wheelchairs cossie pieces?

    [/ QUOTE ]
The idea was orriginally for players to have wheelchairs for costume pieces.
For practical reasons, we established that powers such as martial arts would look a little too funky in a wheelchair. (although it might be entertaining to watch).

The idea then evolved into providing wheelchairs to contacts for architect contacts and possibly npcs such as civilians.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Ok so that topic is closed then right?

    [ QUOTE ]

Yes - I would like to see that improvement at some point in time.
    or
No - I like the daft civilian pathfinding, unreactive AI, and the talking clock, as well as their nasty models.

Its not for us to establish in this topic the priority that the suggestion should be given. We only need to establish, if it is something you would want, at some point in time.

If players think it would be an improvement, developers can prioritize it, whether it comes before or after PvP thats their call.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In that case. Sure it would be nice.

However, there are other things that I would rather have. The suggestion forums are full with many many good ideas. For example, I have high hopes of this MA thing. Even if it means that the Dev's now have a tool to make faster and better missions.

And if that means that I will have goofy NPC's rumbling around so be it.
  14. But why not simply go to the arena?
  15. Just wondering:

What has fixing the civilians anything to do with wheelchairs cossie pieces?
  16. I agree with my fellow posters that it is highly unlikely that we see wheelchairs as costume option. And I agree 100% with that not happening for reasons listed above.

Then there is the idea that people like to play their flawed selves. Is that truly so? I sincerely doubt it. There is a reason that a lot of the characters out there have better then real proportions. A game is about NOT being yourself, to escape to a reality where you can be somebody better. To walk, run, shoot lasers from your eyes to fly and even to kick these awkward crutches away. To be a hero and survive the experience, even survive death.

If you want to play a disabled person who cant walk. Build yourself an exoskeleton, get some cybernetics or use your powers to hover/fly instead of walking. I don't need a wheelchair for that.

    So for those parts. Unsigned

As for wheelchairs for NPC's. That wouldn't be much different from the illusionist or MU striker mode of movement. It could be done for a fraction of the cost of a PC version.

    I'll sign for that one.
  17. The idea of asking inf for such a thing is alien to me. I am a villain, not a merchant.

But I think ouro changed the need to do much of those missions. Which is a good thing of course but with the penalty that resources like Sals Badgehunters or Defiant Events are primarily TF search channels nowadays.

Edit: I have tried a few times to set things up for hunts and the occasional badge mission. I noticed that there wasn't much enthusiasm for them. Which makes me wonder if I should continue offering them. I find I am less inclined to bother.
  18. I can't watch these things without wondering how did they do that? It always amazes me what seems to be possible. I know I will not be able to create such a nice movie.

I think however that it can be improved upon. Most especially the plotline. I think it would be a good idea to insert the nemesis earlier in the story. Scheming, manipulating, cackling as he sees Mr Questionmark worry about Mrs Questionmark. Explaining to her his diabolic scheme. Combined with dramatic music when he is visible so we know a villain is afoot here. Feeding Mr Questionmark crumbs of clues so he can lure him into his deathtrap and an epic fight ensues. Ending when Mr and Mrs Questionmark embrace. That way you avoid the anticlimatic explanation about what happened to MRs Questionmark in the end.
  19. Some valid points there Col_Blitz. A couple of problems are already being solved with the MA of course. But a lot more will remain. Still MA brings us one step closer wouldn't it? One can hope.
  20. Customizations of pets would be a welcome thing. Perhaps now we get the MA with the option to make custom enemy groups a similar system could be used for the MM pets? Personally I would like to have the option to update them.
  21. I have more trouble with the hairless hat options than the hairless helmets. At least the helmets make sense.

Ps. Ever seen a huge bodied widow? They always make me giggle.
  22. I would like.....

The new Ski Slope as a map.
Make the run while Winter GM is following you and his minions start throwing those slowing iceballs at you! Can you make it???
  23. GrinningSpade

    Seeya

Sad to see you go Col. Hope your jobhunt skills are up to the task and you can rejoin us soon.
  24. What will my criteria be?

Catch me by surprise, dazzle me with a briliant plot, stun me with awesome costumed villains, challenge me in a fun way. Make me smirk, make me wipe a tear from my face.

Make sure that your description tell a bit about what i can expect. If its a deathtrap, a mission that is not meant to be soloable then i like to know before I start. So I can adjust my playstyle accordingly.

Don't try to make a hard mission by simply adding EB's or AV's in them.

    MA Question

Well I expect we will see a special forum for just that purpose Scarlet, assuming there is not much room for the feedback we would love to get. If your masterpiece is finished, you can ask for feedback on the forums.

Plus a MA architect channel sounds like a good idea as well.
