  1. I remember Issue 10 to be one of the most exciting things happening to this game. It really did make me feel that I had to save the world instead of trying to concur it. I am curious if and what the meaning of this is going to be.
  2. For aura missions to the non solo AT's. Rikti monkeys can be found on the roof immediately to the right when you enter crey's folly. Freaks can be found in Talos city and DE in IP near Terra Volta. Painless aura mission hunting. No snipers, no purple opponents. Quick, fast and easy.

Ps. Warwitch trains both heroes and villains in Pocket D. Is she a secret Arbiter as well?

MA Arc Finder is the US version. The EU did have a channel like this. Unfortunately, the AE population with only 2 Servers is to small for the EU server to be using this channel anymore.

    Unpublished???

Shame, though I must admit that taste for evil is the better arc of the two.
  5. I remember this arc fondly. It was very well done. Congratulations Bubba, this arc surely deserve the spotlight!

    A small request

The charm of the winter event is partly the chalet and its surrounding themselves. It is fresh, fun and looks nice. People hear cowbells, run the slopes or RP inside. Every year people rediscover the novelty again.

If the chalet was there the whole year. It would be another unused zone and the winter event would loose most of its fun. So for my part I say:

    No thanks.
  7. As far as I know, Single Action and Double Action is only used in revolvers. The double action revolvers (which I understand is the norm nowadays) did two things when you pulled the trigger. They rotated the cylinder AND they pulled the hammer back so you could shoot again.

With the single action revolvers you had to manually pull the hammer down. This resulted in the special maneuver called "Fanning the hammer" for rapid fire.

I knew that those Deadlands books were useful one day besides playing the game

    A clock.

I use a wristwatch that is lying on my desk to tell me the time. A clock ingame would be useful to me as well.

This was an interesting mix tonight. The price of Freedom was a nice arc indeed. The author surely likes to write long texts. We had some issues with it. To name a few:

The big antagonist is probably a PC of the author or someone he has introduced in an earlier arc. It was not someone we could have recognized. An introduction to this character would have been nice. Even an, hey you recognize that villain form yesterdays newspaper would have done it.

Another problem was the appearance of Psionic Clockwork where they should not have been. We wrote that one on Poetic Freedom.

Finally I felt that last mission was a bit superfluous. The mystery had been solved and the last mission as written was not needed.

Not all bunnies are silly emptyheads aren't they? Ok, this one is small and fast and you get to beat up bunnies. Don't expect xp though, THey are all minions. But it has some jokes and is entertaining enough if you want to lose 10 minutes or so.

Ok, this one was my request. As I am the one who originally came up with this arc idea. It was an old idea, from the days where we had heard about the MA for the first time and someone brought up the question how fairy tales would translate in the COX universe. My idea was the story of Rapunzel. I stuck to the cannon, using existing NPC's and build upon them.

The author rewrote my rough idea and added some beautiful proza and a more believalbe if less satisfactory ending (you know it when you play it). When I saw this one on my search, I knew I had to play it.
  10. When I look for arcs, I look in the 4 and 5 star section. When I feel lucky I check out 3 stars but an arc that got 2 stars or less have no chance of me playing it. Most of the arcs I enjoy tend to be 4 star arcs.

When I rate I reserve the 5 stars for the arcs that I really like a lot. Good arcs normally end up with 4 stars. I reserve the 3 star for arcs that try but somehow fail, the 2 for non farm bad arcs the 1 is reserved for farms.
  11. I was rather enamored with this arc.

    Fear And Loathing On Striga
    Arc ID: 350522
    Level: 20-29
    Villainous

Why? Because it is an arc designed for Veats and it does so very well. You feel like one of the special Arachnos Operatives. Want more why? It introduces your villain to a hero zone in a believable way. Your villain enters the scene as the heroes pull out after a successful TF. Look at the same old content with a different viewpoint. A lot of inuendo's, lore and some old friends.

Besides that, it is a solid entertaining story. Well worth your time trying it out.
  12. Grats to the winners! I didn't vote because I hadn't played all the arcs. For me the category was to big. The task of playing all the entries to daunting.
  13. Make it Rikti War Victory Day, Down with Emperor Nemesis day, We love Lord Recluse day.

Holidays and festivities sure, but lets uise what the CoX universe has to offer.
  14. Happy New Year Freedom. My semi new home. My all your PuG's fill up in minutes.
  15. I PvP'ed a bit in another game and while I was not good at it, occasionally it can be fun. So if PvP would be 'fixed' and I felt that my toons could compete in a fashion and there was a reason to do so (my old game had exiting castle sieges) then yes I would PvP now and then.
  16. Indeed, Happy New Year everybody.
  17. Fully agreed here. However, the disappearing of souvenirs is not a build in feature, it is a bug. If only BaB could animate it away.
  18. Some good advice here but I must agree with Alpha that the difficulty bump in the end is way to steep. You have no idea if your team can do it until you appear at the last mission. I am sure that at least half of the attempts fail miserably.

Personally, now I have the badge, I don't bother with that SF anymore.
  19. Date you?

Hah, don't fret my dear, I am sure there is a railroad nearby. Avatars like you make the classic supervillain routine worthwhile.

Get off Penelope, I got a new project now.

    Well done!
  20. I prefer to be Grinning Spade, not GrinningSpade@Gunbunny. Please don't. See memphis bill for some excellent technical reason why this is a bad idea. I don't care if it works in CO or STO, I don't play those games, I play this one.

  21. I don't mind that blasters are squishy. I like playing blasters and I end up facedown often enough. A blaster is like a piece of artillery. To work properly you need support of other AT's. Like tanks, defenders, controllers and scrappers. A good team is more then the sum of its parts, even if the part you play can do ungodly amounts of damage.
  22. Some excellent ideas here. A big yes to turning the security chiefs into something useful. Even better, if the security chief can give you new contacts in that zone. Like it is done in the Hollows.

And if the GM's don;t have the time. We have some excellent writers amongst us and the tools to create missions. They could turn it into a contest.
  23. Hmmm, I like the idea.
I also like the idea of making it into a zone with 'older' buildings, like the Bloody Bay.

However, there should be a reason to revoke the fog. A minor TF would do the trick
Finish it and the zone will be fogles for one 'in game day'.

I don't hate blue caves, they are creepy and fit wonderfully well to some enemy teams. Plus, brown caves are just as bad. Don't ever use the cake room though.

How do people think about the council caves? I personally don't like them, had some bad times finding the last foe or that missing glowy in there?

Another thing I realize that I hate quite a lot:

    Mission level 1-54
It is (near) impossible to make a mission that works for a level 1 character that is still interesting to do for a lvl 50 toon. Or plain to hard for a level 1 toon. There is a huge difference in power levels, think amount of powers available and type and number of enhancements. Trying to make an arc that is good for every level will most likely result in an arc that fails to deliver.

I have been busy again leveling some lowbie toons again and I stumble over this problem every time I am looking for a new arc to play.

In this case, though, "just ignoring them" is actually taking proactive, constructive action against them to remove them from the game.
Which brings us back to the OP. Do the GM's ban griefers like that? Or is reporting things like that a waste of the time as nothing will ever be done?
