Are we still able to get the stuff from the old special edition - Power Slide, VIP badge, Cape of the Four Winds? Is that available in the store anymore?

Sweet. Thanks! I'd be happy enough to buy just the in-game items, but this comes with 30 days of playtime - sounds great! -

I posted another thread to specifically talk about the skylight, but this is probably a better place.
Super Justice Team GO!
I'm particularly pleased with how the SG-color stripe turned out. -
Thank you for all you've been to the community. You've literally defined the redname presence on these boards, and we will miss you.
Don't be a stranger! -
Many villains are the result of unfortunate circumstances. His origins are tragic, yes, but he is now a criminal who routinely does very bad things. Despite the things that have happened TO him, he still needs to be brought to justice.

To expand on this though, I was really annoyed with how much Shadow Queen's power origins had in common with Vanessa DeVore's. A porcelain mask from Europe that is possessed by a spirit? You would've thought that someone during when the book was being written would've noticed those links and made Shadow Queen's unique.
[/ QUOTE ]
This bothered me a bit too. It HAS to be the same mask. Having two that are exactly the same doesn't make any sense. But if it's the same mask, how does it end up back in Venice 15 years later, old and discolored? Did the mask will itself back? -

There are THREE Miss Liberty(s).
One is State's wife, Monica.
I suspect their daughter, Ms. Liberty, is Jessica.
Ms. Liberty's daughter, Miss Liberty, the Vindicator, is most likely Megan.
[/ QUOTE ]
Monica Ricter, married to Statesman is Maiden Justice.
Their daughter is MISS Liberty - retired but still around. Don't remember her name from the book...
Their granddaughter is MS. Liberty ('MIZ'), the Vindicator. According to the book, her name is Jessica. -
Interesting. Would that make him Mutant origin?
-
Right right. I guess we'll find out in the third book.

Well, when Matter and antimatter meet, they anniliate (sp) each other.
Cosmic rays, radiation, etc, all are classic things to be infused with - don't recall antimatter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course matter and anti-matter destroy each other. Exposure to radiation causes cancer, but that never stopped the Hulk. All I'm saying is the reality involved in "infusing" someone with anti-matter (whatever that even means) is not relevant. -
[ QUOTE ]
If the suit malfunctioned and infused Ray with anti-matter, it wouldn't transform him into an anti-matter being. It would destroy him in a nuclear fireball.
[/ QUOTE ]
You sure about that? Being 'infused with anti-matter' sounds like a classic superhero origin story to me. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hey Positron, now that you're around and all, got one more question. The book implies that Ray doesn't have any superpowers and the suit does everything. The game and comics imply that he has powers that are presumably being focused by the suit (and later contained). Am I missing something?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. His suit was damaged during the Rikti war, infusing him with antimatter. Now he can't take it off for fear of irradiating everyone around him. -

I've been looking, but I can't find any substantial information about the titan Tartarus, only the place. Does anybody know anything about this guy?
-
The Freedom Phalanx was a good read and gave some more insight into the world of CoH. Here are a few of the interesting tidbits I noticed. Anybody else find some goodies hidden in the story?
Synapse gets tossed around like a rag doll. This has become a running joke. (Get it? Running joke? Synapse?)
Positron's suit can repair itself in 180 seconds - which just happens to be the time it takes Rest to recharge.
While Statesman has the power of Zues, Lord Recluse has the power of the titan Tartarus.
Lord Recluse's bladed spider legs do no harm to Statesman in this book. In The Web of Arachnos they could pierce his skin.
Doctor Null was forever trapped in his power suit, now Positron is too.
We still don't know the identity of Ms. Liberty's father. (not MISS Liberty)
It seems likely that the ivory mask in the story contains the consciousness of Giovanna Scaldi and is the same worn by Vanessa DeVore, head of the Carnival of Shadows, in modern-day Paragon City. If this is true, though, there are some apparent contradictions in the CoH backstory. The villain group dossier on the main page indicates that Vennesa found the mask while in Venice, old and discolored, in the back of a curio shop. The book indicates it was given to Azoria for safe-keeping (har har). -

FYI: Electric Shields' Grounding Power will have Immobilize and Knockback Protection added. The set will still not have a Heal power or HP Buff power.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is great news! Thank you for listening to our concerns.
Goin' out on a limb here, is there any chance y'all could take a look at tankers' fire armor for a little knockback help? I know it has a heal, but getting knocked on my butt all the time doesn't feel very tankery. -
[ QUOTE ]
So, if a Melee attack rated at 'High' does 100 damage, a 'High damage Ranged attack could be expected to do 66 damage before slotting.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is confusing. Why not just say the ranged attack does 'moderate damage?' -

ok,
does the gangsta-**sideways**-holding-pistol shooting position bother anyone? (yea I shoot RL)
yech,

'Bout as much as leaping 100 feet to shoot a lightning bolt at an anthropomorphic snake. -
Is Lord Recluse's voice in that video the same one you hear in the "welcome to Grandville" TV program? It sounds different to me... Time travel paradox? Arachnos conspiracy???

Hey.
I found the coolest animation/emote/bind/macro to go with Dual Wield and Backflip.
Do this to replace your dual wield power button.
/macro DW "e backflip$$powexec_name Dual Wield"
Basically, your MM does a backflip, and fires a shot while still in the crouched position, then stands up straight, no continual hands in air effect of a normal fire.
Try it, looks bad A$$
[/ QUOTE ]
Holy crud, I can't wait to try this! Great find! -
[ QUOTE ]
EDIT: Aww... Upon closer view, those psychic guys just have normal, black capes, not trenchcoats...
[/ QUOTE ]
No. Those are trenchcoats.
See here. -

The big problem with front-loaded missions was that a lot of teams, especially in the lower levels, could not kill the frontloaded parts. A similiar example that still exists is the Positron TF, where the first two missions are arguably the toughest of the whole TF, and I would argue most teams (or at least a sizable proportion of them) that start the Positron TF do not even get past those first two missions.
[/ QUOTE ]Maybe Positron is trying to weed out those who lack the dedication to finish.
