I just ran a bunch of pylons on test on my StJ/Ice to test this.
Without CE running, the stalker ATO proc in Assassin's Strike seemed to proc a Hidden crit on the next attack a "majority" of times but not always. It seemed that I could wait a brief second for Hidden to appear, and that would better my chances -- rather than having the following attack queued.
Having said that, there were a number of times when the proc simply would appear to stop functioning for a run of attack chains. And that *maybe* I could get it to start triggering again by breaking the attack chain, hitting 1-3 other powers, and then coming back to it.
With CE running, it really seemed that the chance of a Hidden crit from the proc (on next attack) was significant reduced. I also couldn't tell if Reactive interface was having this effect as well ... if Reactive was still burning on the pylon, was it also interfering with the proccing of Hidden?
I'm going to PM my combat logs to Synapse and ask him about it. Maybe you guys can do the same. -

You can queue an attack before then, and this attack won't get the critical hit bonus, but since the attack lands when hidden status is up it takes hidden status away.

Apparently KM on a Stalker is somewhat crazy uber in the post I22, post ATO world ... the Stalker proc, in Assasin Strike, procs hide nearly 100% for the next attack ... people are talking a chain of AS - CS - BU (insta-recharged from hide) - Burst .... and I believe Burst is still 100% crit from hide. This is all with the new AS coming in I22, which you can chain out of hide for insane bonus damage. You might want to check out the Stalker changes thread in Beta before you pick Scrapper.

Defense is subtracted from your tohit, which is multiplied by accuracy. So, the average mob has 0% defense, while the player's base tohit is 75. This means the player's attack will hit 3 out of 4 times. Now, if the player slots let's say 20% accuracy, that will multiply the player's tohit by 1,2, meaning they now have a 90% chance to hit. No matter how high your accuracy and tohit, the mob will always have a 5% chance to evade; so getting to a 95% hit chance is the goal.
I'm surprised as this hasn't happened to me before on other toons. MIDS shows most of my StJ's attacks at the 40%+ accuracy level and also he has the Kismet +to-hit IO slotted.
What accuracy do I need to maintain my 95% to-hit chance against +3s and +4s? -
I have the proc in Follow Through, which I use 2x in every attack chain (RA-FT-CB-AoD-FT). I have the other 5 ATOs in RA.

This just in ... pylon tested my TW/SR with the new Brute proc & set (catalyzed) and it shaved basically 1 minute off my pylon time, pushing me to 345-355dps. Dang! This set is a must have on all brutes.

Thanks for checking. Can you explain in more detail? Because I don't understand how the Celestial Rifle and the Steampunk Rifle made it over to Arachnos Soldiers with no issues, but the Shard Cannon has issues?

There's some weird dev post today or yesterday about how the Dom proc and other ATO procs have a lesser chance to fire in AOEs, so that they still only go off the "average" amount of times they would in a single target power.
At least that is what I *think* he was saying. Which is odd. I still may leave it in Roots as I use Roots a lot so that should still result in most procs triggered (whereas I use strangler more sparingly). -
Why isn't the Elemental Order Shard Cannon a usable rifle model for the Arachnos Rifle? The Celestial Rifle and the Steampunk Rifle are. My Huntsman is seriously bummed

I have a very strong feeling that the price of these sets will rise. There's a glut on the market from people buying the Super Packs, but historically anything that offers defense sells very well, and anything that offers big recharge numbers sells very well. And I especially see the Scrapper and Brute ATOs selling very well because of the Superior defense numbers. Also, the stalker set is considered very good, and I expect more people to play stalkers come I22.
Consider that most Kinetic Combat pieces sell very well, LotG +recharge sells very well... those can be had for 2 a-merits (ignoring the 1 a-merit KC for the moment). 2 a-merits = 100 merits + 40 million. So roughly speaking, 1 ATO = 4 kin triples or 4 LotG +recharges. 1 ATO Proc = 5 kin triples.
Not that it's that simple, of course. But the scrapper and brute ATOs are still going for 75 mil up to 150 mil maybe. That seems pretty low to me. I don't expect people to continue to buy the Super Packs at the rate they did the first week, so there will be fewer of these ATOs being put on the market as time goes on... and the big influx of merits from the Super Packs, that's going to slow down too. And inflation always drives valuable things up in price over time.
So... I spent most of my money on ATOs the past couple of days, scrapper and brute versions in particular. I have well over 200 stored up. And my marketing toons are all much poorer at the moment. -
so the Stalker's Guile proc seems to have 100% chance to proc if put in AS ... which apparently is WAI ..... which means for StJ, you can hit BU, AS from Hide, instantly get +2 combo points, instantly get put back into Hide by the Proc, and then use CU for the combo and critical dmg. fun times!

Here's a rebuild of my Plant/Fire/Fire based on slotting the ATO set.
The 5 non-proc ATOs go into Vines in place of Basiliks.
The dmg proc goes into Strangler. I can't tell if it would be better to go into Roots in place of the Trap damage proc. Maybe. AOE = more chances to proc off targets. That would let me keep an IO slot in creepers
Had to pull a recharge IO out of creepers and out of hasten, but the I will +5 the remainders and also benefit from the higher +rchrg of the set when catalyzed. (Could put one back in creepers to slot Posi Blast dmg proc if I put the Dom ATO proc in Roots).
And yes this build is designed to hit around ~28% ranged def, just for kicks.

Limited testing shows a proc on creeper cast, and none after.
The buff does affect the DOM. (~21% dmg increase) -
Here's a rebuild based on 3-slotting the Scrapper's Strike ATO into Heavy Blow and also Spinning Strike. That will net 10% S/L def enough to keep the build soft-capped to S/L. I moved around some other slots (now freed up). Heavy Blow will get at least 2 procs. Spinning Strike probably gets the Scrapper Critical proc and some other frankenslot to reach the right numbers.
I also will be enhance boosting a number of IOs on this build, since I have a ton of boosters now post many many Hero packs.

What are the actual ATO stats if you were to go 3/3 in 2 different powers?
Could attacks be viable with only 4 slots or will you need 5 (2 other IOs to bring the damage / end / rechg etc. up to par for the attack)? -
So I stuck the Ascendency of the Dominator: Recharge/Chance for +DMG proc into Creepers, in place of a recharge IO.
Anyone have any idea how it will work there?
Does the Chance for +DMG only proc off attacks, or is it x/times per minute as long as it is slotted in SOMETHING.

Paragon Wiki seems to be missing the catalyzed bonuses for Scrapper's Strike (and Brute's Fury). They only show the base set values afaik.
Anyone got the catalyzed bonuses handy?
I'm curious if splitting the set -- 3 in one attack, 3 in another -- is a viable way of replacing 2 sets of kinetic combat due to the S/L buff (2.5% non-catalyzed). Also curious what the IO values are catalyzed.
Anyone also know when MIDS will include ATO sets?? -

Ah cool I just saw it.
I see you took the Blaster from PPP which is definitely going to up your DPS -- my build only had the spiderlings and the disruptors. So would Shatter Armor if you were using it.
I see you are not soft-capped (under 30%). You must have been getting hit by the Pylon on close to every shot it took. How did you survive? Serum and resistance was enough?
