To all those who've construed Posi's comment in the Boomtown article that the Mission Architect is going to be the only feature of I14, it has been made clear by GhostRaptor that the Mission Architect is the *main* feature of I14.

After all what do you think all the content writers and artists are going to be doing while the powers guys and the programmers are working on the Mission Architect?
And since the powers guys are going to be working on customizable bosses with a suite of customized powerset combos and AI scripts to make them work, they won't be able to work on Proliferation or new Powersets in I14.

Matt Miller: Mission Architect is a strong enough feature that it can, and should, stand on itÂ’s own for an issue. We are very excited to see what the players come up with!

I am actually sad.
They just need to look at their sub numbers to see its true. Lowest playerbase number yet. My friends and other players leaving by the dozen and no new real content on the horizon till is 15.

I dont know what the answer would be to this situation... short of a content full Expansion Box CoH2 or whatever...
The stuff that was discussed in the survey awhile back I felt would be game saving.
The whole moral compass thing with your toon starting out as nuetral... that sounded awesome! only thing is certain AT's would be ignored if you could be a Brute/Corruptor on Blue side.. So i am not sure how or if that would be possible...
One thing I think would be great is expanding on the epic archetypes. For Example...
Blue Side: Longbow with branches like the VEATs
Red Side: Nictus with the shape shifting that the PBs and WSs have...
KEEP the epics being opened by having a level 50 for the simple fact that if you dont have a lvl 50 toon then you havent experienced all this game has to offer..
Something needs to be done to make Mid-levels fun to play again... really needs some new content bad... thats alot of content to add though.. -
I know i may be in the minority here but I am not egarly awaiting Mission Architect... I am sorely disappointed that is going to be the only feature of i14...
I was really hoping for something more... maybe i am just a little burnt out and that is making my view jaded, dont know... but I was at least hoping for some Power Proliferation at least... heck anything would do... AR for defenders or whatever... -

Its all about balance, balance in PvP, PvE and RL... -
why does everyone (mostly) want to just blow thru content? It seems ost want everythign right now.. I think the system is great the way its explained... They only problem i see is for people ( the few ) that only play one toon. If i am hooked on playing a toon all my other toons will be earning rested XP, bonuses and other rewards. Its a great idea and system.
I like it, I hope it stays as is... -

We've had the arena, pvp, cooperative zones, and cooperative missions for some time now. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs begin to address the idea of "pvp missions."
When we first got mayhems and safeguards, I imagined that pvp versions of them would not be far behind. In pvp play you could have the villains enter a section of a hero zone to complete their various objectives (rob bank, steal jewels, abduct hostage, bomb building, vandalize, resist arrest, etc.) and the heroes would be challenged to find the villains and stop them. Heroes could be rewarded for each villain they jail, and villains rewarded for each objective they complete. The mission could end when either a timer expires (say, 20 min) or the villains successfully get away after completing an objective.
This kind of play could be fun, but it would be a stretch to go with the classic pve reward system (xp, inf, inspirations, salvage, and recipes for defeats), so some new reward system would need to be created. Maybe the "merits" would fit into this. Designers must also take care to ensure that the scenarios can't easily be "gamed" by players ... say, where one side of the pvp contest simply yields to allow the other side to get all the prizes.
