i've been tp'd by far more stalkers and been AS'd by 3 of them waiting together, i got no problem with it, just find the tp'er and kill them

Dont really know why stalkers would have a problem with it either...
Only problem I see is after these posts there could be as many Dev blasters running about on hero side as stalkers on villains.
P.S. Making a dev blaster meself atm and will be very unhappy if a field of trip mines only "tickle" people to death.

Could also make those orange res insps give tp protection. Dont know why all the protection from effects is just in BFs. If they gave different ones protection from different effects then players would maybe plan more what they take into PvP zones I reckon.
Any char of mine with the Rad set for instance needs little else other then BFs to stay alive most the time (+a great deal of RL luck).
Edit: Hold up, Ive just made a Dev blaster, scrap that, TP is working well, no need to change it IMHO.

Just started my Fire/Dev blaster and noticed that if you press one off the direction keys and a turning key at the same time you dont get rooting anim from web grenade (e.g. a+e or d+q).
Is this a known fact and working as intended?
Edit: Mucking about some more it seems many powers are similar when you press enough keys at the same time, who needs whirlwind?.

Hehe, ill try to do even better and slot my attacks the same way as my elec blaster m8 who is the same level.
That way we can compare exact chain damage.

Pitty this is happening, tbh m8 I think I remember cherry from b4 I left CoH and really dont think she is the type to go on an ego trip. Not been back long enough to really say who is best to be a mod but from what other players say of her I would think she is more then qualified.
Think forums are so tricky sometimes though. Didnt really see any bitterness here as such but certainly can see how the post could be seen as such and honestly hope that wasnt your intention.
Man, the amount of times Ive pissed ppl off by txts without realising how I was coming accross.

Yup totally. But soloing it doesnt seem to be playing out like that. Melee scrappers will miss out on damage due to the other player's movement (same goes to some extent for blappers) and dam caps are usually only reached in teams.
Also pretty sure defender snipe doesnt do same damage as blaster one but Ill need to test that.
End of the day though you are right, scrappers and blasters will always be highest on kills list.

This is what I have found, it is very much my own exp so please take it as such.
My char is only level 25 and I only have one debuff presently, RI. I dont actually use it too much however as I work with Psi's increased range and a fast attack chain so have little opportunity. The only difference is AM which is very nice indeed, but that is all.
Fighting is as follows:
I have SJ and hover atm letting my jump up to a good hight and then stay there. This gives both speed and some protection from -fly and very usefull for snipe.
When I see the target I want to attack (usually a squishy) I use snipe. Psi snipe is very slow so it is possible to take off hover and use the long ranged attacks TB and WD in freefall and time it so all three hit at almost the same time (very good burst damage). TB and WD have casting times of around 1second so are very fast.
I use WD 1st for sleep this means that if the target has acrobatics but no sleep protection there is a good chance of KB from TB.
By the time you reach the ground, (admitidly with aid from AM, but also IMO possible through slotting snipe) snipe is back up to use.
The figures on builder seem about right, not tested them, using these figures however we are tlkaing a dam chain of:
Snipe,WD,TB,Snipe,TB,WD (pretty much without any return fire if KB on TB worked) = 7.66 + 5.44 + 5.38 + 7.66 + 5.38 + 5.44 = 36.96 base damage most of which will not be resisted (no buffs,debuffs or enhancements).
If Energy Transfer's Brawl Index is correct in hero builder this is the equiv. of 3 ETs in about 15 seconds at a possible range of 100 yards.
There is quite a good chance of KB if sleep works and there is nothing the other player can do before he gets back up.
I know I am probably going into far more detail then is warrented but I would like to get across that it is very possible to play even Emp/Psi and have good damage output.

Its true that at the end of the day your not going to do fantastic damage and a support defender if probably more use in serious PvP. Only took the immob myself early on for an attack chain for PvE.
That being said Psi Blast is really really underestimated IMO. Due to the KB and sleep and the fact that in zones people run out of insps it is very possible to add your snipe into a chain. Added to the fact that it is Psi damage it adds up.
Had a great day today in SC, (though unfortunatly it sounds that some didnt), and got over 50 rep from a few hours. For my first time with this defender I am pretty chuffed with that.
Only a fun PvP AT but probably more fun then any other more established PvP combos Ive played. If you want a laugh then Rad/Psi is certainly worth a go. Or any Psi set as its unique to Defenders (Dom set is a bit stinky IMHO). -

Its sad to hear that. Was in Siren's and BB today testing my new Psi defender (union). Had a couple of punch ups in BB vs a corrupter and stalker (I was a lil cheeky but I think it was all good natured) and then a few more in SC.
Quite a bit of TPing in SC but hay ho its in the game and I dont think ppl were trying to give debt or TP to drones (think if they had a defender hovering over trying out his snipe would have been the 1st target).
All in al plenty of good humoured chit chat and loads of fun......
Least I hope it was for others as well. -

Even mental blast has an up side in -recharge, tho its amin time is so horrible.
PvE You can immob one guy, sleep another and KB a third. Given range on Psi you can then snipe one of em without a chance of getting hit (as long as your out of range of the immobed one).
Personally I would slot to taste but making use of what the set offers. Its attack chain is good and a recharge can help there, (really depends on your primary). If you feel you dont need faster recharge distance is always an option, esp for PvP. -
Someone told me today that stealth and hide are no longer going to stack.
Think hating stalkers will soon be replaced with hating to play em tbh. -

Ok thats just unfair, I have a SR and he rocks, its always good with a mob attacking you, them all missing and hide returning to AS again, I've been complimented on my ability to scrap more than other stalkers but Practised Brawler protects you from almost everything Kuji-in Rin does yet the latter gets fear protection and we don't, I mean Ninjitsu already have a heal in the set which makes up for the lower defence values they get, how comes they get fear protection as well, something seems amiss

They only get knockback protection through jumping pool (and maybe kinda through fly) so dont have everything their way.
Also they dont get end drain protection, but then 9th tier power could help vs that. -

Had just done a mish tho with my Psi and had thought how cool it was that not only does it knock em back but also they have to get up again unlike some immobs and holds.
