    This. It seems strange to me that if you want to make a bird character you have to buy both the beast pack for the head/feet and the Mac pack for the wings (or be a 15 month vet but really the angel wings look off compared to the detail of the new head).

    I always wanted a pair of "normal" bird wings and was hoping they'd be in this. Slightly smaller than Angel/Valkyrie with softer curves and more realistic geometry.

    Although really, I didn't even notice they were missing until my brother (new player) wanted to make an eagle. He bought the beast pack and found out he could only make a wingless bird. He was pretty upset that he was going to have to wait 9 months for wings after spending $10 to buy an eagle costume that didn't include them. Boy did that bring back memories. My winged elf (Golden Avariel) had to settle for faerie wings until the Mac pack was introduced.
  2. It does seem to increase the chance of a crit but it is still only a chance. My favorite way to use it is to jump into a group leading with Eagle's Claw then follow with Dragon's Tail. I usually get at least 1 crit and sometimes 2 or 3 depending on the size of the group.

    If I'm fighting a single boss I try to follow it up with Cobra Strike (which got a major buff too) or some other higher damage hit so if it does crit I'll get more out of it.

    I forget exactly how quick you have to finish the next attack but I do remember checking all the activation times of the MA attacks and all of them are within the time allowed. Since I know those attacks work I usually follow with one of those but I have no idea if other attacks get the same bonus. Queueing it up while the Eagle is still in animation is the best way to make sure you get the bonus.

  4. I'm just glad I used nothing but pet damage sets and procs in my mercenaries. I knew going in the "Chance for -Resist" would only work on the defense debuffing attacks (which in the base soldiers is every attack I think) but it never occurred to me that I shouldn't really slot anything else from that set.

  5. How do you even know which of a particular pet's powers take which sets? Just looking at their effects and taking a guess? This all seems... gah words fail me. It's madness to think that every attack on a pet might use a different set of enhancements.

    I could have sworn when the change to remove the fear first came out they didn't automatically run away. Then somewhere along the line they started doing it again.

    Ah well.. guess I'll just learn to live with it if it is wai.

    Has anyone else noticed that Burn in Fiery Aura makes opponents flee again?

    Seemed to have started happening again after a fix to a related blaster power but I could be mistaken as I don't play that scrapper but once a month or so.

    It has become such a problem that I've started using it again for mitigation and as a finisher. Is it just my imagination?
  8. 1) Have an issue that is mainly bug fixes of the small annoying stuff. Starting with the Wiki bug list would be a good start but I have a long list of my own I'd contribute (including the female shield-user's taunt bug and the base rental due date bug). A CC revamp with a suite of new simple costume designs would be a good focal for this bug-fix issue.

    2) Revamp the contact system. Villain side contacts should be as forthcoming with introductions, even outside their chains, as hero-side contacts. Every bank mission should offer a valid contact for your level! No out-leveling an island and getting nothing, no more getting the level 30-34 contact when you are 35, etc. Make contacts team friendly so everyone can be introduced to the contact by the team leader and follow along co-operatively completing the arcs for the bonus experience and merits. Note that some arcs will have to have their mission order normalized (I'm looking at you Ms Peebles).

    3) I like many of what I saw above such as improved MM pet controls (stand and shoot command especially) and the NPC model revamp. I'd also like more attention to the sub-systems such as AE and bases and more diversification of the Incarnate content including contacts specifically for those characters. I'm undecided on which if any of these I'd take over the other. So much is possible and needs doing to make the game even better than it already is.

    So if animated breasts are the last thing they should do, at least that means they are on the list.
  9. I can actually understand why they haven't tackled pool and, to a lesser extent, epic powers. You can respec out of them and you can have up to ... what? 4 pool powers? Sounds like a programming nightmare to me. It would also probably require a 4th page to accomodate.

    More options for both clothing and animations are a given. The topic seemed to be more about how to redesign the CC in particular. For more options see Jay's costume request thread or the various Art threads but if there was one option I'd like to see ... Let us put wings on the bolero again. Man I miss that. Oh I know, to make it on-topic, I'd vastly improve backend flexibility to disable specific costume pieces when others are selected... so Back wouldn't go away just because you selected Bolero but the cape-system options would be unselectable.
  10. I didn't even know he existed until someone told me. Luckily I have an up-and-coming villain who should get him in 5 more levels.

    Speaking of not knowing about him... someone should update the Sharkhead wiki page to include him as a special contact.

  12. Never heard of it before now and wish I had never heard of it. It's sad and definitely not funny. Kids and unsupervised internet do not mix well.
  13. Separate designing the body from the costume.

    Screen 1: same as now with various sliders for adjusting the character's sex, height, and proportions hopefully with slightly more control over some aspects. I don't want something so complicated I can't easily make a normal looking person but would like a little more control. This same screen sets the face, hair, skin color and skin texture as well. Expand the choice of skin colors.

    Screen 2: Costume - which fits over the existing body. Most helmets and all hats would fit over the selected hair, tops would fit over the existing arms, legs, and chests. I understand that some body choices would preclude some costume options. Use the extra space gained from removing body parts for adding a neck slot, separating left and right shoulders/arms/legs, and leg details. Clean up the options adding sub-menus as needed to make it easier to navigate. Expand the choice of colors. If afraid of creating the City of Nudes, dim out the selected skin color from the costume color palette (and possibly any "near" colors around it as well).

    Screen 3: Power customization

    And for the love of all that's holy, make sure all colors for clothing are not transparent i.e. the horrible white tights we have now.

    Other than all that more options are always nice. I didn't realize just how many costumes I take for granted are not part of the standard. It's a very steep hill for new players. I think after a set has been on the market a few years and the cost to make it depreciated fully, it should be made part of the game... much like COV became part of COH and vice versa back the month I joined.
  14. All of my characters that don't have fly have a jetpack. There are just too many places where flight is useful.

    BTW - does anyone know if you already have a jetpack from the Shard vendor and it's almost out of fuel, can you just buy a new one and replace the old one or do you have to wait for the old one to be completely exhausted before you buy the new one? If not, is the jetpack recipe a different temp power? Can you have one of each at the same time?

    The Wolf looks soft & vulnerable, probably because she has the helmet half-way off. I like her top.

    Gorm's suit is very flattering and I love her face and how her hair frames it. The raised arm looks a little off to me but I still like the pic.

    Fenian is my favorite. She looks edgy even in a bikini... must be the studded collar.

    Ditto except I'm nowhere close to softcapped. The only death we had fighting those two and the giant robots was the empath who got too close to get off a much appreciated Regen Aura. Probably the most heroic thing I saw during that task force.

    Aggelakis is right. If you look at the last edit then you'll see it was very late Friday afternoon. Since no one had mentioned it in this thread I thought I'd post it to answer the OP. It's only half of April but I'm happy they announced it a business day earlier than I thought they would.

    Makes you wonder why they only went 2 weeks in advance though... probably shouldn't read too much into it but still.

    Oh thank goodness! My controller normally joins other people's teams so setting the difficulty isn't always an option. Good to know I'll only see the scatter slick on the primal clockwork and rikti monkeys like I have in the past.

  22. I had TP Foe for a long time on my tanker who was my 2nd character ever in COH. I don't think her and her controller friend would have made it those first 20 or so levels without it as we learned the game and everything seemed mysterious and terribly hard. Mainly we used it to thin down big crowds to something we thought we could handle. Sometimes it would trigger the aoe taunt and we'd have to deal with it but that wasn't very common.

    After about level 24 or so, the controller objected to it since it neutered her new aoe controls so we got to using it less and less and I got more confident in my tank's ability to take damage. By the time we reached 50 I was using it mostly to pull back runners or bring those annoying mobs that like to stand at distance into my heal aura (heal for me that is). I eventually respeced out of it and while I miss it sometimes that's pretty rare.

    When I was using it actively I had it 4-slotted. 2 Acc, 1 Recharge, and a range.

    My wife still uses it and loves it on her stalker. TP, AS, TP, AS... The teleported foe does react but since it doesn't disrupt her hide she still gets an auto-crit if nothing else.

    I would find it much more useful if it included a low mag stun or some damage on the attempt but then my wife would hit me for making it disrupt her hide

    Totally support changing team teleport to be like the vet power.
  23. They announced the March WST's on 2/21 so I'm expecting they'll announce them one week before the first Tuesday of each month... which would be Monday for April's list.

    Hoping anyway. I like to know well in advance for SG planning purposes.
