Aww, this is not a good time for me - I'm busy friday afternoon
-
One thing about the "Quest" arc - I liked the mobs and the feel of it, but I thought the "twist" could have been done as a mission, rather than being in the contact window text - I'm pretty sure the sequence it happened in could be handled by the AE.
And another related thing, brought up by the "twist" - would it be possible to add a feature to the AE that let you change the contact hologram appearance during an arc?
Like say if you had an arc where the contact was kidnapped after the 3rd mission, you could change the contact appearance to something like a compute desk instead for the next 2 missions, and then change back to the original contact for the debriefing at the end of the arc. -
Quote:That's not what I mean - I eman that a female player shouldn't feel pressue into making a male avatar to avoid unwanted attention, just like a woman in RL shouldn't feel pressured to dress and look a certain way.Except in RL it's incerdibly hard to be anything other than what you are.
That's kinda the whole point of a game. To do things and be something you can't be IRL.
IRL, I'm a middle height, pretty average unnoticeable sorta student.
In game I can be my shorter, smarter and evil counterpart, commanding an army of robots, or my towering, noble alter ego who can hold off the tide of villainy with one hand.
Or anything.
Games =/= RL. Never have done, never will do. -
Welcome back, Novastorm

If you haven't checked out I16 yet, head to Icon, and take a look at your powers

Ooh, what secret stuff are you adding? A Halloween surprise?

Quote:That's not the same at all - being free to look the way you want to look is all that matters, in RL or in a game. And what about female players that play characters with ramped up chest sliders, pencil thin waists and massive hips that are 7'+ tall?
There's being forced into something, and then theres actively embracing it.
So you get the knuckle-dragger types (metaphorically) on both sides. -
It is a pity some female players feel they have to do that - it's like letting the knuckle-draggers win.

Quote:I think the GR end game stuff - the-level-cap-raise-that-isn't-a-level-cap-raise - will help a bitI know it is a point of contention, but to truly win old players back, I think you have to finally adjust the level-cap. This will cause some consternation, but it seems the most reliable way of bringing old accounts back. It has worked for several MMOs in the past.

Quote:They're not too mean to me - they know I can fight backThat one confused me a little as well..
Oh and GG.. 6 brothers?
You are either VERY well protected or you are one tough cookie
I have one brother. That is also more than enough..
Although, 3 of them did throw me in the pool to celebrate July 4th - but they know I will have revenge

Also, Medieval and ancient Egyptian zones, accessed from the Midnighter Club.
And a "Lost World" zone in the South American jungle.
And an arctic zone - with a "Mountains of Madness" feel to it.
And a mountain zone - maybe the Himalayas.
And an Eastern zone - like China or Japan.
And the Rikti homeworld. -

Quote:Being called "wimpy" by one of Recluse's errand boys is kinda funnyNo, it is that very few people understand that when I mention SFs, people ask if that includes TFs, but that does not happen the opposite way. I'm sick that everything has to be used in wimpy Blue-side terminology.

Quote:Well, if it goes live - which I don't think it will - then just make the lowest member of the team the leaderMy only problem (and the only reason I logged on) was to see if the bug of not awarding a power after the Aspect GM is defeated while SK'ed was fixed.
It was not FIXED!!
If this goes live on 10/20 as is, I might as well wait till next year to enjoy this part of the event. I can imagine the howls of non-Level 50 Players complaining about this if it doesn't get fixed.

Quote:I have 6 brothers, so I think maybe some of their guy-ness rubbed off on me - like I can quote Star Wars, and enjoy comic booksI'm around my dad and my brother more than my mom (even though we all live in the same house), so sometimes I "sound" like a guy.
