Whatever that is, it looks gross, and you really shouldn't post stuff like that here.

If you refill the Shivans with helium, they float away.

A European village? How quaint.

I'd be interested to know if the devs consider reskinning a tile set as a new one - if they don't, then that could mean we're getting new skins for current tile sets in GR - like Praetorian warehouses could be made of clean metal, rather than dirty metal and wood.

Although, that still doesn't solve the problem of why the end bits, which should be metal, so as to make the connection, are covered in rubber/plastic, and the handle bits, which should be covered in rubber/plastic for protection, are in fact metal - even for mad science, it looks shockingly dangerous.

I don't really see how this is a space station - I can't see any exhaust ports, tractor beams, garbage compactors, dentention blocks or shafts without safety rails.
But seriously, this is a totally awesome idea, and very creative - and I think that the lighting and color scheme really helps to tie everything together.
I'd really like to take a look around - so should I:
A - Steal the plans for it, and then try and escape.
B - Hide myself in the smuggling compartments of a beat-up old freighter
C - Be online sometime when you're around?

Quote:That's what they remind me of - those cable things to make a car start - although I'm not sure that's the right way to do mad science - I think you need to harness lightning or something, not just use a car batterySo what you're saying is...I can't use them to start my car and they don't turn on light bulbs? I don't get it.

Quote:Evil is alive and kicking over on the red side, and GR won't change thatI'm kind of worried about the scope of content in GR myself.
Ok...so we implement side switching. That's great and has some great story elements that can be done with it.
My issue is that mostly I'm seeing people talking about moving characters from red to blue. Pretty much every poll response in the Going Rogue Side Switching Poll thread was about people moving from red to blue.
It just hammers home to me that they are continuing to neglect elements on redside that would make it more appealing. Maybe I'm completely wrong and there will, in fact, be a mass exodus from blue to red...but it's not looking like that will be the case at all. And if that's true at all, then what is the point of counting to have a redside if you're going to neglect it?
They aren't revamping the new user experience for blue or red. So now every toon I create that I want to not have to suffer through tired/bad content for the first 20 levels will have to be a Praetorian? I had originally thought that along with the 1-20 GR levels...that we would also get some kind of redone starting levels for both blue and red. Apparently not.
Along with that, all the complaints about redside(and yes...a lot of them are valid even though I love playing on red more than blue) go unaddressed and we still have the same game we had before apart from Preatoria.
In the end, my biggest gripe with side switching is that there isn't parity between the two sides. People already try to avoid redside and now they can happily do that, making COV what? Irrelevant?
The side switching will balance out - for evey Villain who turns good to get lower prices, there'll be a Hero who turns bad to take advantage of what quite a few players seem to think is better content and less zoning during arcs and so on. -
Quote:It's got nothing to do with thatLike you said, "going by those interviews" (Really just that one)
Just to remind everyone though, the Devs said that the whole SG/VG mechanics were still a bit uncertain... plus, everything is subject to change.
That being said... I thought that those "in the grey" were basically within the group they were still shifting away from... Will be interesting to see if it is actually different than that.
Just didn't want to see any hysteria arise from the bit you're saying there, GG
Of course, I know you're just trying to scare everyone out of lingering in the grey area! You and your golden virtues and all!
It's all about managing expectations - and you only need to look at some of the posts in this thread to see how over the top some of those are/have been
Better to get the hysteria out of the way now, rather than when the GR features list is revealed

Quote:I must have missed the bit where it says "to protect and serve and be famous"So I'm running around Steel Canyon arresting Outcast leaders to take them off the street (okay, I'm badge hunting) and it hit me... I feel like just one of the many mostly-unsung heroes of the real world: the police (and fire-person
when putting out fires in Steel). There's no real glory or fame, the mobs are back on the street within minutes (I really hate the faster respawn rate that was put in some issues ago). On villain side it's about the same, you're just a policeperson for Arachnos (no matter the RP spin you put on it as I often do).
No newspaper has headlines with your name in large print, no paparazzi with a police cordon around outside when you exit the mission door (not even once); I can see not doing with every mission, but end of story arc missions could have them as the news of the completed "case" (arc) is released to the public. In Paragon City being a superhero is just an almost-normal job. Yeah, there's thousands of superheroes in the city, but you don't see that many at once.
Don't treat my character as one of a many thousands cast member, but as one of a few dozen. On the less populated servers that is almost true
. Would be nice to see my character's name up in lights. Or for TFs, perhaps the TF name is shown, perhaps on some continuous running marquee in AP or Galaxy (Aeon City in Cap for redside?), or even Pocket D. Make it look like my character's actions are making a difference, instead of the pat on the back by contacts. Have the big names say something to you about your lastest endeavor as NPC chatter (just once per endeavor). This should include zone events that you've taken part in.
Ah, the word finally came to me: recognition. Give my character the recognition it deserves for being a superhero (or supervillain in the service of Arachnos).

Quote:Oh, is that actually from something? I thought it was just random web weirdnessWell, first off the character is notoriously BAD at being a mad scientist, since he is, at least in part, a parody of the Archetype, used for comedic purpose. Secondly, and to actually quote the man, himself:

I think the one thing that could possibly "dilute" the Euro server communities if the lists were merged would be if they offered a free server transfer period at the same time - that might lead to quite a few Euro players moving to the former American servers, and some American players trying out the Euro servers because the transfers were free - the populations could stay the same, but the Euro server communities could end up spread out over all the servers.
