I liked the in-game adds too - I thought they were totally ok in a modern day setting.

When I meet new players, I usually just tell them that the crafted enhancements are good, but aren't vital to play the game with - so it's better to get a feel for what the actual game is like first.
I also give them the address for paragonwiki, the forums, and my global, so they can read up on it themselves, or contact me if they need in-game help. -
And it's also a question of trust - for example, Statesman probably wouldn't trust a Rogue to lead his TF, and Recluse wouldn't trust a Vigilante to lead his SF.

Quote:I'm not sure that's something they're going to tell us right nowMy question is Who is the Coming Storm that Ouroboros mention about. And why there were letters in their missions? Also who is the mystery writer that keeps on sending messages to the player? Is he someone we already knew in the past or something new that was never mention before?

Nowhere near the fastest

On the old Euro forums, BAB got an...interesting response when he showed up
The problem was that he had to make a Euro account to be able to post there, and he did it during the evening here, so the Euro mod wasn't at work, and wans't around to first confirm it really was BAB, and second, wasn't able to give him a red name - so when a guy with BAB's name and avatar, but without a red name, introduced himself, the thread turned weird very quickly - and he never bothered to post there again

It's something to do with furries, isn't it?

Quote:The chances of that happening are close to zero - and by close, I mean like minus five or soI suspect that the upcoming Incarnate levels that have been mentioned may be the reward for never going rogue.

Now, if Jack was still here, then yes, adding the long-requested side-switching system to the game, and then excluding anyone who used it from using the long-requested endgame system would be something an MMO visionary would do. -
Badge hunting is one of my favorite parts of the game - but there's no moral problem here

Quote:But you do have over-complicated deathtraps and an endless army of expendable minions, don't you? Some of you may already have painted an image of me in your minds. I can reassure you that I do not have a cat (I am allergic to them), I do not wear suits to work, and although I could lose a few pounds, I am in pretty good shape.

Welcome to the forums anyway

Quote:I think the biggest problem is that it'd probably totally destroy the AE file size limitMan... what I wouldn't give to use this base/map in the Mission Architect.

But it'd be really cool if players could upload their bases into the AE, for other people to use, rather than just having the players only able to use their own bases in the AE, which is probably how they'd have it at first. -

I think City of Sidekicks would need to bring that message back.

It was one of the first things I did when the walk power was added

There are lots of enhanced sounds in I17 - you can even hear the rustling noise of the paper bags some NPCs are carrying - as well as a coughing sound every time a contact does the coughing emote

The rep system is pretty silly - I've never bothered to give any out to anyone at all - I prefer to just tell them in the thread that I agree/disagree with them
