Quote:1-20 is just the new starting content in the Praetorian zones - the Incarnate system is for 50s only, and the Going Rogue system is for 20-50sounds about right .
content wise it has been lacking for awhile and let's face it ...less than stellar design decisions that has changed the game for the worse, yeah AE i'm looking at you.
I haven't purchased going rouge ...i'm in the waiting and seeing crowd things haven't been fully explained, but i know this if the max level you can get is 1-20 i'll probably pass it entirely since getting to that is a walk in the park.

You mean they might even be investing some of the money in some form of continuation of the CoH franchise?

Quote:Quite a lot of stuff slipped through to the I17 closed beta, but it was removed before it went live - but I guess they could be planning something - after all, in the trailer, Tyrant tells Maelstrom to prepare his troops for assaultAny one else's suspicions semi-confirmed about a pre-Going Rogue world event?
It just seems odd that they would install parts of GR before you bought it.

I can see how you might be a bit disappointed with the kind of missions a T rated villain game might give you

Quote:Well, so is having surprises tooReading the information posted on these boards, including the patch notes, can be incredibly helpful.

Like some people like to go to a movie totally spoiled, and other like to go spoiler free - it just depends which way of doing it you enjoy the most, and which gives you the most entertainment - which is kinda the point of movies and games

Wasn't Janus the god with two faces/heads? Like one looking forwards and one looking back?

Quote:Exactly - new content - the contacts already in the game aren't really going to change, and neither is the basic Destined One storyline your best hope for contacts who wet themselves when they hear your name mentioned is from new content. But it doesn't have to be that way. The most recent proof of this is Dean McArthur.

Quote:Well, maybe they're just nicer people?Of course, Heroes contacts actually treat the player with respect NOW so...they don't have to wait at all.

Like it's not totally impossible that the ideals of truth, justice, pece and freedom just might attract a slightly different type of person than the ideals of murder, greed, selfishness and oppression
Trust, loyalty and friendship are going to be in short supply in a place like the Rogue Isles - when social advancement comes through "survival of the fittest", kindness is a sign of weakness and fear. -
Not sure if this is new in I17 or not, but I've noticed an alternative floating animation when you activate Fly, followed by some types of emote.

Quote:I thought D-Mac was all over you and desperate to please you and be your friend? So if the devs add more like that for all the level ranges, you won't need to talk to any of the old contacts who are mean to you.So, take a month of time, and lose the 'true Villain' badge and perks, whatever they may be, just to get access to Epic powers that aren't under the control of Arachnos? Not to mention that no matter what, we're still in a situation where it's only the Heroes that are treated as more powerful than that level one minion. The contact, any contact, can and will crush you at will should he or she so choose, and they're not afraid of making sure you know about it. Because however strong you are, whatever level you attain you are not a threat.
Because really, there's not really any chance they're going to rewrite all the old contacts just to please some players. -
Ages ago, before the NCSoft buy out, there was an "ask a dev" with one of the tech devs, who said that his dream was to have the game as a serverless environment, but he didn't say any more than that.

Quote:I was thinking that too - make them "mirror" markets for the Praetorian dimensionSomething tells me that they might reverse in Praetoria. Loyalists might use a version of WW's (as it is the legitimate trading center) and the Resistance might use a version of BM (since they are operating outside the "law").
-

At Hero Con, Positron said that there would be one or two markets in Praetoria, and that they'd be linked to WW and the BM by some kind of "interdimensional trading" - in other words, there'll be a WW and BM in Praetoria, but they'll be called something else to fit in with the game world.

I think they must need to clean out the catgirl pens again.
