The rumor is that it was actually parts of an early draft of Jack's autobiography that he decided to sneak into the game.

    Incarnates?!?

By the way, I'm not sure if this is eading too much into it, but this comment from Positron from the Pocket D meet and greet:

    Quote:
Incredible Mouse: Please change the word end-game to "stuff-we-keep-adding" content
Positron: I like "elder game" myself
Positron: but people "get" End Game
...makes me wonder if the Incarnate content is going to invovle something vaguely Lovecraft-ish - like if we're getting divine powers, maybe we have to fight evil gods or their semi-divine servants?

Then there would be no need to end original CoH as its a diffferent continuity from the new game.
I think the first mjor lore change would be that we'd managed to defeat Rikti attacks enough to allow the city to be almost totally rebuilt, with the war walls being taken down - that'd allow them to make Paragon City either into one huge city zone, or to make it several zones where you'd cross between them at any point.
  4. That's totally awesome - it sounds just like a real movie score

What sort of program do you use to make that?

Turn on Fly, then use an emote like /e flip, and you end up with this hovering stance:

Does Westin Phipps get mad at you if you do that? Or do they assume that other Arachnos agents managed to capture her anyway?

Well, June's only a few weeks away, so I think it'll still be pretty new - plus, people have said it gives awesome XP, so I think that'll mean it'll be popular for a long time

Maybe it could be an NPC raid by Rularuu to try and get the IoP back? Like they'd manage to open a dimensional portal in your base from the Shadow Shard.

I think it's a matter of honor now for them - and professional pride - they'll want to give us some version of it
  13. Also, it's been nicely retconned to tie in with the Faultline revamp, with the Clockwork talking about Penny, which helps to tie the general "timeline" of levelling closer together too - like the TF and the zone have similar level ranges, so for the ideal non-sk'ed play through of the content, you'd be doing the TF around the same time as you'd be doing the zone arcs.
  14. The cutscene and the music is pretty epic too

Kudos on what you've done with the new Posi TF(s) Devs! The new maps are awesome (and the old maps decorated with new stuff) and the final fight against Dr. Vahzilok was EPIC! (seeing the hordes of suicide bomber zombies descent upon us both mortified and thrilled me :P not to mention a final battle on a high and narrow ledge? Can't go wrong there!)
A high narrow ledge without a handrail - Dr. V knows all the right places for a villain to stage a showdown
  16. Well, they were more than rumors - they were actually marked as launch pads on one version of the city map

Here's the thing though. If you had any actual firsthand knowlege of the game, you would know that the perception of redside mission contacts is overwhelmingly negative. It's not even in doubt. You persist in trying to put down the feelings and opinions of people without having any experience of what is being discussed.

Nobody, and I mean nobody would object to getting at least a hint of respect more often than we do.
Don't D-Mac and Leonard respect you and want to be friends with your awsomely evil villaionus self? And if theyr'e the same range as the blue sdie ones, they'll cover 20-29, so the devs have given you an alternative path without having to change anything at all, so you can choose to avoid a couple of the old 20-29 contacts who swear at you.

This isn't about putting down the feelings and opinions of people - that'd just be mean - it's totally about managing expectations - just like some of the wilder hopes for GR had to be wound in.

And just look at how often the devs have said their priority is new content instead of revamps - expecting them to go through every misison in CoV and rewrite the contact text when they can give new contacts with new content instead is just being totally unrealistic, and setting yourselves up for disappointment - just like people thinking GR was going to be a stand-alone addition like CoV was.

6 years after it launches, yes

Obvioulsy not the exact same content - but a similar amount

I'm not ignoring anything - I'm just trying not to have to repeat myself too much so I don't clutter up the thread with similar replies, so the answer to your other post can be found in one of my recent replies.

Nope - just that they don't appeal to everyone, so adding new missions and arcs with a differt style of contact text is the best option.

No, you're missing the point - what happens to the players who like the current contact text? Adding alternative content keeps them happy, and it gives the players who don't like the current contact text a way of avoiding it.
