Quote:But there wasn't any reception area, so I had to let myself in - it's not my fault if there's no welcome desk where I can ask to speak to the manager of the facility about an important security issue that I nede his help withNo, no, no, see, it's not what you're saying that's getting you into to trouble; it's that you are even there at all. Is their reaction extreme? Perhaps. Is it unjustified? No.

I don't think the Praetorian Clocwork are connected with the Clockwork King in any way - even in the current Praetorian lore, they're built by Neuron and Anti-matter.
-
Or what about alternative blast animations where the avatar is reading from a spellbook, and gesturing with their other hand, similar to the "research" emote?

Well, the Well of the Furies seems to be located in or close to Greece, so it's more likely that Westerners would come accross it than people from other areas of the world, especially in older times when people didn't travel so much.

Quote:But I openly walked in the front entrance, and the first thing they did was shoot at me - plus, I don't wear armor, and my head is uncovered, so they could hear me perfectly well - I was like "hi, I was wondering if I could bor..." and then they just opened fire - what was I supposed to do?Don't play coy. It's way below you.
Regardless of the words, the intent is 'I need tech' and the solution is walking into a Crey warehouse. If you walk through Harlem in a KKK suit, it's true that people might not beat you bloody stupid, but I defy you to find a person of reasonable capacity who wouldn't expect a beating as a possible response.
Likewise, you can enter a warehouse saying "Oh, I'm here to borrow something, and I'm going to ask nicely, first", but I know that if I caught you in my house under those exact same circumstances, I'd hit first and ask questions later. Especially since your cries for diplomacy are undermined by your suit of combat armor.

Quote:But he doesn't tell us to steal it - he just says to get what he needs - so it's not our fault that Crey isn't interested in discussing a load of their techSee, this ties back into my earlier thought on retroactive vindication. Sure, the game let you know that it was okay to take what you wanted because the people you were taking them from were jerks, but you didn't know that when you left. You were sent off to go get something, and not to take 'no' for an answer. You went to Crey offices with the intent of committing an immoral act, and because most people are capable of considering morality as context-sensitive, you were given a justification to continue.
I'm not saying that the action isn't necessary, or that it doesn't benefit more people than it harms. Just, don't confuse 'excusable' with 'moral'. Theft is excusable. It isn't moral.

Quote:Well, it'll let you escape to the blue side, where contacts are your friends, and signature heroes respect you and ask for your helpAnd here is where the entire concept of CoV fails. How long are we as villains supposed to be lackies to the lackies of Lord Recluse? I hope upon hope that GR remedies that.

When Dark Astoria gets a makeover, it should totally have the winding narrow streets and gothic buildings that are in Bloody Bay - and part of the war walls should be broken down like in Siren's Call, so that the sea comes into the zone a bit to form a saltwater swamp in one corner, so the Banished Pantheon can have the right atmosphere for their voodoo

Talking of the skulking/crouching walk, that might make for a nice alternative aimation for Walk or Sprint for the more animal-like avatars.
-
That's a little different - it's assumed that comic readers will know what Superman's powers are - but in a game, there need to be some sort of visual clues as to what the players and enemy mobs are doing.

I must have missed all the innocent and unaware civilians when I did it - the Crey staff all pulled guns on me the moment they saw me - they didn't even give me the chance to explain that I was only there to ask if I could borrow the power supply item for an important time travel related security issue which they, as a company devoted to the public good, would surely want to stop happening too - they just opened fire, so I had to defend myself.

Quote:No they don't - lots of offices and shops have doors that you can push or pull either wayFix the doors, please.
When you enter a building, the doors open outward. This is all good and proper. When you exit the building, however, they also pull toward you. This is not correct. Doors swing one way, and one way only, otherwise, you're going to smack someone in the face.

Quote:But that mission comes after you're done the Crey arcs in the levelling timeline - by the time you help Daedalus, the game is assuming that you're totally aware of Crey and know the truth about them. This is an entirely reasonable explanation for why Daedalus's plan is "steal stuff". It is not a very good explanation for why your character blithely goes along with it, despite being somewhat more acquainted with the laws and mores of the modern era. Entirely independently of whether breaking into Crey property is in itself an immoral act by whatever standard you may choose to apply, the thought of the criminal and civil trials that Crey will gleefully put a blatant trespasser through should give your character some pause. If you think Crey's Paragon Protectors are dangerous, you haven't seen their rabid attack lawyers...

Origin locked anaimations would be too restricting - for example, someone might have a time-travelling magic user who's learning to use modern technology, so they'd want a blend of animation types for their powers - or a mutant that uses natural methods and items as a back up.
-
There's no side switching arc - Ghost Falcon said at the Pocket D meet and greet that there aren't even any side switching contacts.

-
Another thing I'd like to see would be an alternative animation for that silly chest beating emote that you get when you turn on Integration - it's really unsuitable
