Just finished a 37:00 on Liberty and a 32:00 on Triumph - both PUGs
-
So you stiff-armers still haven't gotten the message, have you?

You can play as "Good Nazis", but you're still bad guys
-
You're misrepresenting Freya

The offshore Praetorian base also fits in with an earlier suggestion I made for higher level loyalist stormtrooper content based around trying to sabotage the Primal Earth war effort against Tyrant.
An offshore base, if it was big enough, could be an actual island zone, used for both a raid setting for us to fight the Praetorians, but also as the setting for higher level loyalists contacts - like it could be the next stage of the Praetorian jounrey - at 20 you go to primal Earth, but at, say, 30, stormtroopers could be contacted by Tyrant and sent to the offshore base/island to disrupt the opposition to the invasion. -

There will be non-Incarnate content in I20

Quote:That's why they're part of the faction - if they disagreed with either of them, they'd be with the Syndicate or the DestroyersIt's always their faction that's to thank or to blame for everything that happens, it's always their faction's goals that they're fighting for, they always agree with their faction's ideology...

The Helper has a gold name, and people looking for help have pink names.

I'll try and attend as many of these as possible - Pocket D parties are always fun

We should probably report him for breaking the forum rules though, just to be on the safe side.

Quote:This is a comic book MMOLiterature, theater, and film is full of stories in which the true meaning of the outcome is uncertain due to an unreliable narrator.

One of the devs said he liked to think that the Praetorian Nemesis died as a happy old clock-maker. -
Welcome to the game and the forum

The sub fee adds up to about 50 cents a day - it's the cheapest entertainment around

Quote:That would be getting to Nemesis levels of plottingJust a thought: I don't think it would be far-fetched to say that Calvin Scott is a by-product of the actions of Mayhem/Cole (with the assumption that Cole sanctioned Mayhem's action regarding Aurora Borealis). We also know that Cole does sanction "turning a blind eye" on specific events to justify his actions. The resistance may be indirectly playing right into his hands.

Upgrading Gyrfalcon to Director 11 could make the final fight more explosive.

Maybe we join a fleet to attack a loyalist forward base out at sea? Or maybe we have to stop loyalists from sabotaging a fleet?
EDIT: I so totally called the offshore Praetorian base

It could be an iron fist in a velvet glove flipping you off - only one hand would be used, of course, as the other would be needed for slapping your face.

They're not so easy on PUGs, unless all the people have done them before and know the all the tricks - but for SGs, they're not that difficult to do on a regular basis.

Quote:GR never has been, and never was, planned as a 1-50 experience - it was an expansion, not a new game.Looks like people came for GR, but once their free month was up didn't stick around (revenue for the quarter after GR is lower than the one preceding it). Yeah, only 20 levels of content will do that. If GR was 1-50, like it should have been, those people would probably still be around. I guess the 1-20 thing was a simple lack of development funds.
It was never meant to be some new playable 3rd faction that was independant of the normal game - it was designed for the 2 most frequently requested bits of content - a freshened up starter expereince, and an endgame system -so the devs used expanded Praetorian lore to link the 2 together - a low level introduction to Tyrant's world, and an endgame system where players fight against it. -
Quote:Actually, I think the Incarnate system would be a very good fit for a F2P model - which I mentioned back when they first announced the systemI'm not sure CoH has enough stuff that would be "purchasable" to make F2P profitable. I'd really hate to see it go the "gating content" way that LotRO did, and LotRO has gear and potions and such that they can sell in ways that CoH cannot.
