Man law still sounds like something involving caves, clubs and grunting

I think that a lot of the future market releases are already in the game - they really only need to switch them on rather than patch them in.

I think that red side contacts for each of the major villain groups, who would give missions every 5 levels or so, with themed costume unlocks for their group would be useful for giving red siders more of an impression of being able to choose their own career path - working for Arachnos could then be explained as being similar to the undercover stuff in GR - you'd be working for them just to fit in, but you'd really be loyal to, say, the CoT, or the Council, or the Family, and so on.
Using the phasing tech and/or the neutral reticle tech from GR and I21 could also mean that working for a villain group would see their spawns be neutral/friendly towards the player. -

In a sort of weird way, I think that the devoted base builders could possibly be holding back major changes to the base system - like because of all their awesome bases that they've spent hours and hours of work on, the devs probably wouldn't want to make any changes that would ruin those bases, which is what a major revamp of the base system would very likely do.

Quote:That'd just be a temp costume power, like the Arachnos one we get in FaultlineI can see a hero dressing up as a villain to get into places easier and to do certain things.
Dress up in a Council outfit, infiltrate Striga's volcano base, as opposed to fighting your way in.

Something is being done with bases - no details yet

Quote:I could see why they'd want to make it impossible to clone signature characters, but it seems kinda weird that players can't make copies of the normal minions, especially red side players.Apart from what Basilisk said the only indirect way to have exact "canon" outfits is to make use of the temp NPC costume powers. These were first introduced during the Halloween events but many of them are now purchasable via the Paragon Market.
Beyond that I have the feeling the Devs don't really want to encourage us towards making exact clones of in-game outfits.
I wouldn't expect blue side players to be able to dress up as NPC villains, but red siders should be able to unlock different villain group costume parts while working for them. -

It has one of my favorite moments in the game - the way the spirit council gathers around you with that soft music in the background - it was very mystical, and totally unexpected.

Quote:That's just the way Manti and his Wyvern gangstas rollNot an excuse. He's using a live-fire scenario to "test" the Shining Stars. It's sheer luck (authorial fiat) that no one got their head blown off or otherwise hit in a way that prevented Medicom from kicking in.

Quote:Only for people already playing the game, which isn't who the training arcs are aimed atThey also have a remarkably good collection of Arachnos weapons and armor, and do a remarkably good job of imitating Arachnos combat techniques.
If I'd been writing it, they would have been archers who were wearing Arachnos uniforms. But I suppose that would have given the ending of that mission away too early.

We should see some pretty cool stuff in the market for Halloween

And it sets players up for the Coming Storm storyline right from the start, which will help to make their 1-50 progress flow neatly into the Incarnate system - it sets up a nice "unfinished business" feel for when we finally get to fight the Shivans again, which is also what the introduction of the loyalists in Twinshot's arcs does.
