With a T rating, it's pretty unlikely that anything red side could make anyone sick

Next month they'll have another excuse and another piece of content to lure in the impulse buyers.

By February they'll have cranked through the data and they'll know when to release things for maximum profit (hint: It'll be the first of the month, because that's just before most long-term player's start day of the 4th, which was release day) and they'll know how long to leave things on sale.

By next summer they'll introduce yet another currency, or another wait-for-points plan, or something else that ultimately will give them a marginal increase in profits.

It's not about any specific event. It's all about keeping the players off-balance so that they are unable to budget their money and their time. This makes more money flow toward the game.

It started with the bait-and-switch they pulled when they went back on their promise of giving all the points for a subscription on the initial renewal date. From here it will only get worse, more devious, and more difficult to understand and plan for.

Maybe. Maybe Paragon Studios hasn't succumbed to the evils of gamification and microtransactions, and all the shady coincidences so far have just been accidents. But every time these coincidences happen it looks a little worse. It is making me lose confidence in a company I once trusted.
Maybe the next item in the market will be tinfolil hats?

Someone's not having a reasonable perspective here. It's either the OP, or it's every single other person.
Make your own judgements based on that.
It's an agenda thing - it happened with the introduction of the Incarnate Trials too - with the same results
  4. Or they could sell the updated power sets in the market as upgrades - like if someone was happy with the current power sets, they could keep them as they were - but if they wanted to have more advanced mechanics, they could buy the advanced upgrade in the market.

I'm happy the way I am, but I'd still like a few MA combos

I demand combos for Martial Arts
  7. You're welcome

I'm actually starting to cast some roles for the 3rd issue - there's going to be another generic new-ish hero, plus 1 actual player Hero, and 3 player Villains - I'm pretty sure I've gotten someone for the Hero role, and someone else for oone of the Villain role - but I'm still going to need 2 more player Villains to fill out the cast.
  8. Some are these are also story ideas from ex-devs like Jack and Manticore, which mightn't be on the top of the priroity list for the current story and lore devs, who have their own ideas and stories they want to tell.

It's her mentor who's still the face of the game - just look at the Freedom artowrk

No - the shorts control the demons.
  12. Desdemona might even join he Freedom Phalanx one day, if something bad ever happend to one of the current members.

Liberating Penny's playtime friends would probbaly be the last major strike we'd need to do to bring down the loyalist dictatorship, so I think we're getting close to a Mother Mayhem Trial - although we might also need to defeat the Praetorian Hamidon in another Trial too, before we get the chance to take on Tyrant.

It was my understanding that Des was a "C/D-List" style character that doesn't make many appearances and is sometimes a plot device. However, making her into the Carnival Queen implies that she's far more important to the lore. Not to mention, the necessity of having her alive makes her more important than the player.

In my opinion, there was someone far more deserving of this. I think Penelope Yin should have become the Carnival Queen. I mean, Yin is supposedly the most powerful psychic on the planet....amplify that with the power of the mask. Also, Desdemona embodies the "Rogue", doesn't she? Rogues look out for number one. As much as Han Solo would love to help the innocent, it's about the money and fortune first, and less about the good deeds. Penelope, on the other hand, would jump at the chance to help people.

We've seen Penelope grow a bit. We help her rescue her father in Faultline, we defeated her guardian, the Clockwork King [Plus, teaming up with the Clockwork King to fight the Hamidon Avatar would be awesome], in the Lady Grey TF. She deserves a little payoff.

Do you agree/disagree, who do you think should wear the mask of Carnival Queen?
Primal Penny wouldn't make much sense - but Praetorian Pemny would, as she's the daughter of Praetorian Vanessa - but she's also a prisoner in the asylum, so that'd mean we'd have to launch an attack on it to get her out - we'd be an army of Rustys coming to save the Mirror Kingdom from the Shadowlord

It sounds like that for you, the release of Street Justice is one of the most important days of your life.

    But for me, it's Tuesday.

Heroside, the first few missions deal with the fallout from the crisis, having to deal with gangs trying to cause trouble in Atlas etc, but once you get going that dies down an things kinda continue on as normal. It just seems kind of clunky because most of the 'crisis' about galaxy city is contained pretty much in Atlas Park, outside of it paragon city is pretty much 'business as usual'.
Don't forget that this is just the first part of the Coming Storm storyline - it'll be expanded in the same way that the Praetorian storyline in GR has been expanded.
  20. The signature story arcs also give you one as a reward choice.

  22. Positron mentioned recently that they'd been looking at the idea of personal player housing, but that it was very resource intensive.
