A lot of the art assets on the Trial could be part of a planned Croatoa revamp, possibly shifting it from 25-34 to 30-40, and opening it up to villains too as a co-op zone - although I'm not sure if they'd follow up First Ward with another zone that had quiote so many similar basic story elements in it - but the zone itself would totally suit the new more detailed textures and geometries for hills, cliffs, tress, grass and flowers that they used in FW.

What server are you on? I can try and help you get it.

Quote:Another reason to give Dark Astoria a revampIf I had my way, the Halloween event would last the entire month long, and be night the entire time.
As I recall, the event has *already* been shortened due to players hating the night.
Please let those of us who love this event have our shamefully short two weeks of night. You get the other 50 weeks of the year just how you want it, so no cause for complaint there - as far as I can see.

I thought that purple Inspirations had been in the game from the start?

You know, when you think about it, the way the opening post is written is actually a bit of a gimmick

I think that Keyes might be the new most popular Trial now
-
And this is for the Incarnate Trials:
Quote:- Players now once again gain Empyrean merits for their first daily completion of the BAF and Lambda Sector Incarnate Trials.
- The drop rate of Rare and Very Rare Incarnate Components has been increased for the final encounters of Keyes Island Reactor, TPN Campus, and Minds of Mayhem.
- In an effort to strike a balance between rewards, effort, risk, and time invested in Incarnate Trials, mid-trial component rolls have been added to the more challenging trials. This reward roll has a moderate chance for Rare/Very Rare components. It has been added to the following trials:
- Keyes Island Reactor, after successfully recovering control of the Central Reactor.
- The Underground, after defeating the Lichen Infested War Walker.
- TPN Campus, after defeating Maelstrom for the second time.
- The Underground Incarnate Trial will always award a Rare or Very Rare component after successful completion of the Avatar of Hamidon encounter for players who are present for the entire event's duration.
- On the Keyes Island Trial, players who are defeated by Disintegration during Anti-Matter's Molecular Stop power will no longer trigger Anti-Matter's heal from a Disintegration defeat.

This is from the latest patch notes for I21.5 on beta server:
Quote:Base Editor: Free Vertical Placement and Rotation
- Added the ability for players to move base objects horizontally and rotate them about the vertical axis freely.
- While placing an object, if the player holds SHIFT, they can move the object vertically.
- Once placed vertically, if they wish to move the object again and maintain the vertical placement, they can hold the CTRL key.
- If they do not use the CTRL key, the object will snap to the first encountered ground the cursor is placed over.
- If the player holds ALT, they can rotate the object about the vertical axis.
- Added the ability for players to move base objects horizontally and rotate them about the vertical axis freely.
-
There are some small tweaks to the base editor in the latest I21.5 patch on Beta server.
There are also some big reward changes for the tougher Trials, including an automatic rare or very rare drop for completing the Underground Trial. -
I can't believe I missed this update

Congratulations on the baby, and on it being a girl too

Quote:Not only is it locked behind a mission, it's also locked behind a mission that will only be available for a couple of weeks every yearThey did such great work on this map. I really wish it had been duplicated as a Halloween zone, like the ski chalet. Then we could all wander around it at our leisure, chat with the NPCs, and generally have fun with it. It's far too fabulous to be locked behind a mission.

I think they must all use those - with the fights being scripted, it wouldn't actually count as cheating, because the pre-arranged results would still happen, and it'd also help to get the required muscle-man look.

Quote:I can do a slow run with you - we could get a couple of fillers to start, and not bother with the end fight.I've loved Halloween since I was a wee tyke, so I love the haunted house in the Dr. Kane trial so very, very much -- but unfortunately, every time I've gone through the trial, everyone has rocketed through much too quickly for me to take in the decor the way I wanted to.
Will the set pieces here be added to the Mission Architect at some point? It'd be great to get to explore it more slowly at some point, or even to set a few new spooky missions there... -

The contests are VIP perks, and holding them on Exalted is the easiest way of making sure that all the contestants are VIPs.

Quote:Well, she's in a 20-29 level range, so she might not be using powers in the 30+ range.Serene has two dual blade (one fire, one ice) attacks. They do fire/ice/lethal. She has an Autumal Hold and a Blessing buff (don't know what that does). And an Ice Sword attack unique to her. The rest of her powers are all Talons of Vengeance which is a mishmash from lots of different sets, especially fire and ice and weather related (thunder clap and lightning.)
It's not really enough powers for a fully unique Dominator's sets. At least, not yet. -

City of Heroes is now better than it's ever been before - the scope and depth of the content, gameplay and lore just keeps on improving with each new Issue.
