Quote:i can haz ur lootz?Umm so far this week every time I try to play coh it its down or I am being kicked off in 5 minutes or I have to download another upgrade. My best friend reinstated her account and after we were told 5 minutes all servers will be down. This is not good practice to keep customers that have been playing 3+ years.

Wooohooo! Got 4 new 50s on the last one, wonder how many I can add to that with this one.

Touch my Awesome Tentacle...!

Never delete a 50. Server transfer it elsewhere. 4 of my 50s only exist on the test server because I got tired of them before there was a server transfer option.

Quote:Except to stalkers that constantly AS you, run off till stealthed then repeat. Which have killed the stone tank I dumped 900 million influence in sets on several times. The lack of mobility, even when you have the clunky to use and slow to animate teleport, will get you dead. For survivability without a doubt stone armor is king. For playability without being annoyed senseless, WP is without a doubt king. Want to fix WPs aggro issues? Get melt armor and six slot it with a taunt set. Nuff said.If you're insistent on which one is the "toughest" then the answer is simple. A stone tank is by far the toughest a character can get in this game. It's not even a question since even with IO's it's impossible to be as tough as a well built stone tank. You quite frankly will be invincible.

A big thank you to ya'll for mentioning WeGame! I had tried to use FRAPS before, even the paid for registered version, and the quality of the videos combined with how much they lagged my machine made it impossible to use and play at the same time, it chewed up all of my system resources. It's nice to see that this program seems to have a small resource footprint yet still produces good quality videos. Thanks again!

Just get a second account instead, and when you run out of slots on that one max it out too. Both of my main accounts have max slots on guardian, and both are full of toons I either play or as placeholders for names I'm reserving for later development (like i16 and GR builds).

Quote:You are overlooking the fact that because that person decided to turn a profit on the item in question it is available to be bought. If no one were to flip anything, the market most likely wouldn't have much excess inventory waiting to be sold and you would have to wait for all of your bids to go through. When I am crafting and need salvage it is normal for me to overpay to get it, I can accept the fact that someone else is profiting from my overpayment. If something is selling on average for 2000, I usually put my bids up at 8k to 15k to ensure I get what I want when I want it. Yes I do also sometimes flip on my lowbies because it is a good method for building up a bankroll early on. The real money is in being an honest merchant/craftsman though; buy the recipe, craft it and put that up for sale. I've made approximately 22 billion in profits from crafting and that number is climbing even as I type this. You might be a little late on this issue as it seems there is no flipping problem, the economics of this game are fine and you do your fellow player a favour when you hold items that they might want in the future for a massive profit (not that anyone has admitted that).
Aside from that I like your idea better. -
Thanks for the nicely done guide and numbers on AVs, will be respecing out frostwork in favor of sleet soon I'm sure. Didn't think I needed more -res on a cold/sonic with 5 -res attacks, but it seems moar is bettar.

Quote:When I went off on support over this power not allowing me to slot the IOs I'd already crafted this wasn't quite the response I was hoping for. Oh, bother. On the plus side I sold them for a hefty profit and six slotted lockdown instead. I do agree that they should either tune down the recharge on this pet, allow slotting of recharge intensive pet enhancements or make the pet have a longer timer on it. I'm considering dropping this power simply because I don't seem to get much use out of it.[ QUOTE ]
Dark Miasma/Dark Servant (all versions): Fixed a bug that caused this power to state that it would except Recharge Intensive Pet enhancement sets. Since this pet cannot be slotted for damage, it should never have been able to accept these types of enhancements.
[/ QUOTE ]
Um, excuse me?
While Dark Servant does not take damage, it is not permanent until killed. Which means it actually does need to be up faster than it recharges normally at times.
I really wonder if the developers just hate Dark Miasma on general principle. -
For every jerk that does this, there are atleast 7 normal people feeding more of <insert resource name> in to the market at reasonable prices. If you want those, leave an open bid out and be patient, then you keep your money for yourself. Don't want to feed the flippers? DON'T PAY THEIR OUTRAGEOUS PRICES! The market will fix itself once they get bored and run out of idiots to overpay. Nuff said.
-
Regulating an open market? What are you... a democrat? Sayeth the DC Flipping Lobby, leave the flippers be.
I'm Godlike and I approved this message. -
/signed, considered posting this idea myself awhile back. it would make an excellent addition to the game.

I am in the process of IOing out about six different toons now that have all come in to the level range that allows for it and have thought of two opportunities for improvements to the market interface that might make doing this less time consuming for players. The two main things that slow me down considerably in putting together recipes is looking the salvage up and ensuring I buy enough of each piece for what I am trying to make. Here are my suggestions:
1) Direct Linking: this idea would be to change it so that when you have the market window and your recipe window both open at the same time you can simply left click on the salvage name in the recipe window and have the market look that piece of salvage up for you. This would be a godsend to those of us with ten thumbs that tend to typo the names of some items.
2) "Needed By" Counting: this idea would be to put something in place, perhaps by right clicking or shift-clicking the salvage name in the recipe window or as a button you can click once the salvage is pulled up to view in the market, that breaks down how many of that particular you need and which recipes need what. It could do so within a tooltip style popup window ideally and could look something like the below:
Salvage Name: Steel, Needed By:
Luck of the Gambler: Def/End (3)
Force Feedback: Dam/Knockback (2)
Efficiacy Adapton: End Mod/Acc (4)
Obviously these particular recipes don't use steel, this is just used as an example. I think anyone who uses the market heavily; as I do, not just for IOing my own toons but as a merchant as well, would enjoy these changes. -

Chat binds now insert the key used.. ie..
/bind shift+z "beginchat /sg [$level,$name,H]: "
will come up as.
/sg [50,Rogziel,H]: Z *text here*
This started as of i14. Perviously the Z would not have been inserted. I've tried reseting the bind but that hasn't fixed it.

one of many recent bugs that makes me wonder just what the hell they were trying to DO or fix when they cause all this crap to start happening? what was wrong with binds that they needed to be changed that this change was made to them? -
they haven't had to deal with much of anything. all of my ranting has been in emails to support, petitions, and on the forums which the majority of the people from my server don't read. but if you've got it feel free to spread the wealth, i won't be able to anymore from the looks of things.
my home servers are guardian (main), freedom, infinity and pinnacle. and you can begin the festivities now if you'd like. -
you sure you can afford to? i mean you were just asking for free loot. you might wanna save your cash instead, someday you'll be able to afford something shiny i'm sure.
-
sorry, i don't feed beggars.

funny, my hardware was fine with the game three weeks ago. and runs games with far higher minimum specs than CoH without issue. hell three weeks ago i could run 3 instances of CoH and have it be stable. then they push the 5 year event live and all manner of fail started. i really have to wonder how much forethought and testing was put into that cobbled together, no-storyline-behind-it-at-all event anyway. who's brilliant idea was that crap?
-
ditto. but these aren't the bugs you're looking for. you aren't having any problems. you'll keep paying your monthly fee. *does dev mind tricks*

I vote it's a server problem.
