Especially so for items that we can only get once a year (I'm looking at you Halloween Bat Aura and Murder of Crows Costume Change Emote). -

I agree. All the character-specific in-game costume and weapon unlocks should become account-wide store-bought costume pieces. This includes Witch's hat, Roman set, Rularuu weapons, Astral/Empyrean pieces, etc...
Before any player or Dev can object, let it be know the precedent has been set: The Vanguard set is in the Store. The level 20 capes and level 30 auras are in the Store. These were in-game locked by level and content, but are now purchasable account-wide. Put 'em all in there, please.
For those who don't want to spend the money or who enjoy the activities, then luckily, they're available in game. -
Crabs are great. I fashioned my Crab Spider to basically be an Arachnos Mastermind. I ended up liking it quite a bit, just need to get my pets to being as close to perma as I can.

But one could argue that they are now making so much extra money from other offerings that they may have LESS motivation to sell character-based event items as account-wide unlocks. My point is if they don't want to sell X, Y or Z for whatever reason (good or bad) they can now choose to not to sell it because they don't need the money from it. *shrugs*

People have been asking for this for many years now. The Devs have stuck by their guns as far as keeping these kinds of things character-based instead of account-based. Obviously it's irksome if you want to unlock all these things on dozens of characters and/or want things pre-unlocked on new characters after the event, but I'm not expecting this to change anytime soon. *shrugs*

Like I implied in my last post something like this might be nice if its like the fifth time you've wanted to unlock something. But being able to "buy your way" out of doing it at least once almost seems like cheating to me somehow.
The game offers these things as goals to work towards. I see absolutely no problem with being "forced" to complete those tasks at least once in order to be rewarded for my effort.

The selection is for 1) bracelets that match the upper arm ring bracers and cover bare flesh or 2) bracelets that match the upper arm bracers and cover tights. Also, females don't have any barbarian glove options while the Male/Huge do. I wonder if that was an oversight. I suppose not but with never having official feedback threads and a chance to check things out before they go Live, I guess it'll be hard to know from here on out. -
I think unlockable content such as Christmas event costumes, the new Halloween auras, etc. are great but I would like to see them on the store as an account wide unlock as well.
I would pay good money to be able to buy the Bat Aura or the Santa Boots or basically anything on this page: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Unlockable_Costume_Pieces if I could buy it once for all my characters account wide.
Keeping the in-game mechanisms are great for those who enjoy the content, who don't want to pay real money for it or for those who don't plan on making or rerolling a new character between the events.
Giving an option for those who are willing to pay to bypass that is even better. A win-win I would think.
It's debatable, even to me, whether or not to have badge locked costume bits (weapons as an example) on the store is a good idea but I would certainly love the event items put on there.
I know for sure that if a certain Dominator set is coming out later this year AFTER the Halloween event, that I will be rerolling Goblin Queen and I would rather hate it if I had to wait for a *year* to get the Bat Aura and Murder of Crows costume change emote for her again. -

I'd love it attached to a badge PLUS put on sale on the store for those who don't want to unlock it in game and would rather pay money to bypass that option. -
The barbarian crown clips fairly badly with the female dreadlocks hair on one side. Would love it if it didn't!

A big question I have though: do we get these as unlocked account wide? I have characters that will use both of those new items but I don't plan on rolling them until certain Dominator changes come out (or later if those changes aren't what I'm hoping for!).
I'd rather not have to wait a year to get those unlocks!
Even if we have to do the mission X times to get an unlock account wide, I'd be ok with that. -

Got halfway through the arc so far on a break. I like it! I really like the new enemy group too. I hope we can get some of those spiny pieces (if not the eyes) added to the costume editor!

I patched, bought the Firefighter helmet and the School Backpack and only the Backpack is showing up in the costume creator. I can't see the Firefighter helmet anywhere. =/

To add to the Maestro's pretty good ideas, you could also work in fire based stuff by grabbing the fire APP of whatever archetype you settle on.
I definitely agree with you on the big pumpkin head being not right, I found it a bit of a let down myself with it being too big and goofy. If you have the steampunk pack, or the points to spend, you could go for the cravat over the tie, though this has the unfortunate side effect of having to switch from the Baron /w Vest to the plain Baron jacket.
Which eye aura did you go for there? It looks a bit like the new volcanic one, which I have been getting rather tempted to swap out my traditional Flame ones for.
I'm using the cravat (which I love!) with the Dracula form and he uses the Victorian jacket vest option. I did try it for Mister Halloween's primary form but I ended up liking the striped tie, evokes a more classical Halloween feel to me.
I used the volcanic aura. I had been asking for -years- for an aura that would work with Mister Halloween's hat since all of them, including the better newer ones would bleed through the hat. Tunnel Rat listened and produced the new Volcanic Eye Aura. In fact, the way it animates, it looks very much like how a flickering candle in jack o lantern would look. It's perfect! It's what prompted me to reroll Mister Halloween despite losing my skull belt.

Yah, I keep hoping for a temp power that we can get in game or buy that has the flaming pumpkin attack from the Fir Bolg.

And watch Doms get Dark control/Dark Melee or some such in November. :P
Because if Doms get bonuses to melee powers in power pools (I forget if they do or not) then that'd be a nice pairing for the overall concept. -

I wish Warshades could be different origins (I'm sucker for being stuck on origin limitations) and could have their colors and auras changed. If I could be a Magic origin human form Warshade with orange glows coming out of my eyes when I used my powers, I'd give it a go. I love how the powers look, I wish Dark powers would get something similar as a visual upgrade one day. But yeah, if you could do triform w/o shapeshifting into set forms but into costume slots that would be *amazing* too.
So you're saying that if I went dark/MM blaster that I could mix and match some stuff into the melee power pools or is there too many awesome things in MM that I'll need (I think there's quite a bit of awesome in that set hehe).
Thug/Dark is appealing to me in a few ways, I'd just have to pick up AS and melee to do something other than shooting while in those "melee" forms. Having an urban posse drawn to him ala Joker would be cool (especially if we could ever customize the minions to look like cheap Halloween costumed criminals). Seems much more modern than fantasy Death Knights that I have currently. /sigh
Good point about the Stalker visibility thing. I feel that pain with my Spring Heeled Jack toon, he looks so cool. When I can see him. :P
I guess I'm limiting it down to Blaster with some Melee stuff, Thugs/Dark MM with some Melee stuff or maybe a Corruptor with Melee stuff - I think the Melee classes are too tough guy for the majority of the forms. Bah. That didn't narrow it down too much. heh -

Yah, I always steered clear of that costume piece but only because I liked my original look too much to give that up and didn't have enough costume slots to do just a pumpkin guy (what with vampires, ghosts, werewolves, etc to do). But now that we have the option to buy more costume slots...
I'm more concerned about the power selection though at this point. It's vexing! :P
Someone said Dark/Dark for some ranged and melee but I'm not sure how I feel about that effect, regardless of how it's colored, on a werewolf and Frankenstein Monster. May just limit those forms to travel forms or something. Or do a non blapper set and restrict those forms to power pool melee attacks that are only used with a build tied to the forms. Sigh.. slave to concept. -
Thanks! Yah, I thought Dark/Dark blaster for the blapper stuff. I just didn't know how I felt about the darkity dark aura in my melee attacks for the Werewolf and Frankenstein's Monster. Coloring them red for Dracula and white for Ghost seemed a win at least.
Think the only way around that is to use MA, Super Strength or Street Justice OR use power pool melee attacks with a ranged AT like Blaster or Corruptor that I only use on builds associated with those costumes (and maybe some APP stuff like Electricity APP for Frankenstein).
I only play him in October too, for the last 5 years or so. Though if I really like this reroll I may be more lenient on myself this year.
