Personally i'd do cold/ice or cold/dark over cold/psy. Psy has [censored] burst compared to ice, psy probably would drop tankers easier than ice would, but it depends mate, all 3 are good tbh, there all better for certain circumstances. In answer to your questions, I think cold/ice would be the best overall performer.

You won't kill anything with SS, but if you plan on taunting and not scranking then SS is probably the best set going.
