as thers's plently of posts with the exact same question throughout the pvp boards in both the EU and US that will answer this question.

And pretty much general PvP. Btw, whats the most populated PvP server in the EU serverlist?
Cross Posting is where you post the same thing in several sections. The best AT/Sets is subjective but if you spend some time in PvP zones or going to PvP nights, you'll see where the popularity is. Union is best for PvP.

um no.....
Takes a week to kill anything but can stack over slow res in a matter of seconds and then just sit back and crush them to death. Dont forget TA makes earth holds work as there is no getting off the floor. 2 single target holds make stacking over mez protection effortless.
A blaster/emp/ta trio is so effective its not even funny, there is NO getting away from the blaster and the chances of tagging the emp/ta are greatly reduced with entangle being spammed destoying peoples movement, the days of lol TA are long gone, even before inventions my old fire/ta could hold through tank unstoppable.
Earth/ta is the ultimate annoyer and lays down -75% defence on just the 4 powers you really should take from the primary. Its also starting to get really disturbing (and annoying) the amount of TA players showing up in pvp these days, hero and villain.
There is little that isnt effective in pvp with the right mindset and approach (well ok warmace), even AR/devs have their place.
My TA was annoying people in PvP last night. Cave Map ftw!
If an EMP arrow hits a Regen scrapper, they are basically a Blaster with no range powers or defiance.

None taken just stating the facts that we could avoid most of these which pvp AT is best/worse/fotm if people did a search before asking the question

Well not all old threads are out of date and the fact is that a lot of the old fotms as well tatics are still viable in the current pvp game don't forget.
Also apologies to the original poster since this thread has gone way offtopic. So I'll just quickly list the best AT/Sets for pvp to get it back on topic:
Blasters
fire/ice/sonic primary in that order
nrg(the best)/elec/dev(only for zones) secondary
Scrappers
Spines/Broadsword/Martial Arts primary
Regen/Super Reflexes secondary
Tanks
ice/fire/willpower primary
nrg/super strength/stone secondary
Controllers
Well any troller combo can work tbh but the current better sets are:
ice/rad (if well played the best dueling toon imo) fire/rad, ice/storm, ill/emp (as a support toon), grav/sonic (great for disruption)
Defender
psy/sonic primary
any secondary apart from dark miasma
Brute
nrg/stone/super strength primary
elec/fire secondary
Corruptor
sonic/ice/fire primary
thermal/cold/rad/kin/sonic secondary
Dominators
mind/fire/ice/grav/plant in that order primaries
fire/ice/psi secondaries
Stalkers
nrg/spines/dark/claws primary
willpower/regen/ninjitsu/super reflexes
Mastermind
thugs/robots/zombies (best for dueling)
poison is the overall best imo but traps and trick arrow are pretty good as well. force field is only good for teams.
Warshades and Peacebringers are generally pretty awful pvp toons as well.
Also with the new sets coming in i12 there will be a lot more options on sets if you take a look around the boards in both the us and eu.
Those are my opinions of the best pvp sets for each AT in the game so if your looking for one, then pick any combo out of them and you will do ok in pvp.
