    This seems to be a growing concern around players and with all the posts I've seen about it, NCSoft support has been less than helpful by going on the logs alone, noting the mission was completed so therefore no problem. However the mapserv issue has been getting worse and worse as of late, hopefully one of the rednames sees all these issues and decides to investigate for themselves to discover the root of the problem.

    They changed the animation that targeting drone uses to the wrist pad animation, this could be causing the root.

    They changed alot of badge requirments with i16, this could be one of them however I have a large download going on and browsing the web is a bit slow atm. Should check patch notes.

    By any chance did you mapserve right after you completed the arc? This seems to be a growing problem with alot of them.

    anyway yeah, I think they just had it at a very low poly-mesh for the terrain features and upped the polys for the ground to smooth them out some. Was annoying but with the higher polys it can also make some older machines lag. But at least the tradeoff is also slightly better ground geo and better looking terrain.

    I guess to prevent laggy code they just had the SSK feature generalize. Instead of making exception to same level characters, (which would require a few checks in the code to see if they are hence lagging down things) they just had it auto sk to the team leader whenever a mish isn't set.
    Makes sense to me. though I'm still discovering bugs here and there.

    Costume Creator: When either creating a new toon or going to your local tailor, if you switch the background to the "light" theme and finish your work leaving the window, and log out, the character selection screen will also show this light background instead of going back to the default.
    (this will also happen with AE custom critters when designing thier outfits because your still in a costume creator window)

    I have confirmed this as well, no particles being emitted but the animation plays in the Character Creator.
  6. With merc MM's, when using tactical upgrade on the spec ops, the box doesnt come down and the spec ops don't animate properly. Also they are unable to do any emotes after tactical upgrade is used.

    Ninjitsu secondary (stalker): Animation geo is off, the hands go through eachother with several poses, Kuji-in Rin, Kuji-in Sha and, Kuji-in Retsu

    General UI Lag as well has been noticed.

    Corruptors Archery ability seems to be highly underpowered.
    to top it off, snap shot animates incorrectly as the arrow sticks to the right hand, theres no draw back and the arrow vanishes from the right hand to the bow and fires. (aimed shot animates correctly however)

    Friends List, SG list etc. All blank upon login, however it seems zoning seems to correct this issue at least temporarily.

    Team window wierdness:
    Team with someone in a diffrent zone than you are in, pass the star. It will appear you are both SKed and the other persons location will cycle between thier zone and "On Mission Map"

    SuperSidekickery: Not sure if this is intended or not but it is annoying none-the-less, Team with someone about 10 levels below you (just to make it obvious), while they are in a diffrent zone (and your team leader), have them get a mission at thier level, Have a mission at YOUR level selected and have the person about 10 levels under you enter thier mission. You will be forced to exemplar down for thier mission even though it is not the one selected nor are they team leader. (some griefing possibilities arise with this one, not going to go into details)

    Things I would like to see:
    The costume creator can "fix" costumes (if its not unlocked, costume pieces, auras, etc.) and remove them. However I would like to see a ability to "fix" costumes for body types (like if someone makes a costume with a huge bodytype, I think they should be able to use a normal man bodytype and have the "fix costume" button available) this would switch it to either the exact type outfit (or nearest availablity generic costume piece) for that body type.

    Something I can do without:
    Random colors when making a new toon, for some reason it always defaults to the most garish colors it can pick out when showing a default toon. (Like pink with bright neon green and such) I think that there should be some continuity in the colors used in the default, something a little more easy on the eyes instead of causing me to go blind while I try to correct the horrible color job that the costume creator has set me up with.

    Masterminds: Pets staying with you on zone changes does not work when exemped down. it re-exemps you when you enter any new zone killing off the pets.

    These are just a few bugs and Suggestions I thought I should post up. Will post more as I come across them.

    I could also be misunderstanding this but I thought our powers weren't supposed to get locked out if we exemp down...

  8. glitches, posted these up.

    Team with someone outside the zone your in, then pass star. watch the fun with the status and the fact it looks like your both sked.

    Next up. corruptors and bows, not firing properly, 95% of the time it just shoots from the hand and not the bow.

    3rd... Costume creation screen, if you click the sun icon to brighten the backdrop, it stays that way until you go see a tailor/facemaker and revert it back. Even on the character selection screen it will still show a light background and no way to change it back unless your creating or modifying a costume.

  10. first issue right off the block, found a bug with SSK.

    Friend is in cap, I'm in st. martial, I invite them, it auto sks up to my level however they want to invite a friend, I pass star and now we are both sked?
    not only that but now thier location status flickers back and forth from "Cap au Diable" to "On Mission Map"

    Also with arrows on corruptors, the animation doesn't seem to be firing 100% of the time properly, it just goes from hand and fire, not hand/bow/fire

    This has happened to me on SEVERAL occasions as of late, I think it has something to do with your latency and lag. times I'm lagging, (I like to jump before activating fly) it will go into that odd flypose in a jumping-upwards animation, but everybody else sees it normally.

    No its just something I don't understand, your in a Force Field, yet you cant communicate to your minions. Heck I can't even make them emote.

    Same with rest, even without buffs or anything else, if I am resting, I cant communicate commands to my minions. Explain that then. No bubble, major -neg resist to all damage and for some reason I can't tell my minons to do anything?

    BABs, I would also like to point out a small animation error thats right up your alley that is reproducable on live. With the Merc MasterMind powerset, the "Medic's" gizmo that he holds floats in mid air when he uses it. Happens every time and also happens on test. Any news on this glitch?

    (basically his hand moves, the device does not and hangs in the air as well after use for a good second)

    Oh, and one more thing... We should get at least one free tailor session as well seeing how this makes massive changes to the tailor and the things we can do there. (so it doesn't end up costing a arm and a leg....)

  17. I've actually had my butt handed to me while in a PFF, by a enemy. however I think if they just lowered the resistance on it or just added a few extra self protections instead of the "bubble everybody else but you" kind of thing it would be a nice solid setup.

    Telling your pets to go bash something is NOT a power however. Your simply using your words and telling them "Go bash that guys skull in"

    Hence why that description for the power has no weight.

    Heals, more bubbles, attempting to call in more minons when the others die, etc. THAT I can see as a no-go while the bubble is up, cause that uses your powers to do something.

    But with the pets already out, your just sending them commands.

    For those who don't understand what I'm getting at, bring up your personal force field then try issuing commands. For some reason, even though it says (affecting self only) your mini-army is NOT yourself and therefore free to do whatever they wish. So why can't we give our MM pets commands while shielded?

    Honestly, if they stop usin email and going to spam in atlas, I think there should be a general throttling having to do with chat and emotes, anything that hits 20 of either chat or emotes or both within 30 seconds gets mapserved right off the server and back to the login screen. granted this could be worked around (no system is secure. NONE) But it would also kill some of that LFT spam and S/VG recruit spam that just blows up the chat box out of nowhere like 30 times in a row. basically making the spammers suck on a timer would be a start, but we need a way to report these spammers and such, I think they should make a copy of the current petition tool and re-purpose the copy and call it a "Report tool" for obscene names, harassment, spam, barbies and kens running around, explicit role-play in open chat. etc. etc. that can also log the last ohhh 50 lines of chat (from all points, sg/local/broadcast/help/coalition/tells/etc.) and send it with the 'Report' to a specific team of GM's to handle these issues who will then go over it, find out if theres a violation and punish properly.

    (and to tell the truth, I used to be a SecondLife player and I really liked thier Police blotter idea. Whenever a infraction incurred and something was done about it, it went down on the blotter. A way to broadcast that they were indeed taking out the trash AND sending a warning to anybody else if they tried the same crap)

    So yeah I got several Ideas, alot of them viable solutions but thats just in my mind. Discuss anybody?

I recently downloaded Rapplez... and OMG, I can just see the spammers now in game with a fresh copy of Auto-** to automatically spam about 100 messages all numbered so much the bubble remains over thier head constantly and NOBODY can talk ANYWHERE near the fools. (unfortunately I'm still trying to figure out how to petition or report anything inside that game)

    Though I found it mildly amusing watching two toons right next to eachother broadcast competing websites for the better part of a hour it was all http://www.blahblahImafilthyspammerb...-gamemoney.com with 1 then, 2 then, 3 and so on and so forth tacked onto the end of it to prevent any sort of spam catcher from nabbing them.

    But yeah after this email thing goes off I can imagine a couple of toons repeating the same site over and over again right next to liberty in AP.

Ok, yes this could very well be the problem, for the fact that more data is being pushed through and 99% of the time a new update comes out, they have to update herostats and TNT to match, because your on a beta version of CoX it could be having some conflicting issues but still working the best it can in that situation.

    (also if you have "Report missing messages" on that can cause some lag as well while the program polls CoX for the missing data and sends it to the program designers)

    Because its actually logging the tabs in a way looking for data refrencing to badges, attacks, hits, levels, experience and such it uses quite a bit of processing power alongside CoX. Hence lag.
