  3. Here's the build with Nightfall and moving those slots. Nemu you mentioned that my damage output was really low but are you taking into account my high recharge and accuracy? I might not do much damage with a single hit but I can attack more often and I won't be missing much either. Also, I was going more for defense and slowing down foes while reducing their ToHit. Also, will powerboost work on those chance of -recharge procs (it says it boosts end drain)?

Thanks scout I missed that but it's fixed now. I took nightfall instead. I gotta look it over some more to see if I should move some more slots around. This brings the question that I had about kb protection back up. Those kb prot. procs I have in ice shield and glacial shield, who gets that kb protection? Me or the guy I'm buffing? If I'm getting it are they necessary with acrobatics already in place? Should I move one or both of those slots over to nightfall? I'm going to slot it with posi's blast.

Is this a PvP build or something? you have pitiful damage output for PvE
It also boosts the immobilize in TT, but you bring up a good point. I was thinking that it worked on slow powers and -ToHit as well. After rereading it I'm not sure that it does now...

Greatly boosts the secondary effects of your powers. Your powers effects like Disorients, Holds, Immobilizes, Heals, Defense Buffs, Endurance Drains, Knockbacks and more, are all improved. The effects of Power Boost last a short while, and only the next couple of attacks will be boosted. You must be level 44 and have Soul Drain or Dark Embrace before selecting this power. 5. I took another look at the build and considered everyone's advice. This is what I came up with but I notice that I'm over the HP and Regen caps. I was way over on the accuracy cap with the original build. I solved that problem by rearranging some slots which actually gave me more resistance to mez, toxic and psionic. The problem with taking out the overkill on the HP and Regen caps is that I will also lose either some defense or recharge. I would rather not, if I can help it. I'm thinking that the build looks great as is, but I don't know whether I'm wasting slots to get the regen and HP cap (and to keep the defense and recharge) or if it's good like it is. Is it a bad thing to see those red over cap indicators?

Edit: Some better questions are, how far over the cap am I? I have no idea what the cap is for either of those. If I get rid of some of the overage how far will I go below the cap? If I leave it as is am I just a small percentage over? Also, now that I added acrobatics are those kb prot. procs. overkill? Since they are in buffs, does that kb protection go on me or the person I'm buffing? If I replaced one of the LoTG doubles in manuevers with a common defense IO would that actually give me more defense?

Edit: I replaced the def, def/end, and def/rech. LoTGs in maneuvers with Red Fortunes with the same effects. I left the 7.5% rech. proc. I think this is going to be the build that I go with. Also, some were questioning my choice of Epic. The main reason I took it was for power boost.

In some cases, I would agree with you about leaving out the buffs (i.e. my bots/therm mm), but I went /cold because I want to buff people. I play her similar to my sonic and kin toons. I don't mind being a buffbot when it is my strongest point. I just can't see taking /cold and not using the buffs.

If you want defense I'd recommend you go with Mace Mastery so you can take Scorpion Shield. Slot for s/l defense sets.

Arctic Fog is getting fixed with GR so it'll give s/l defense as intended. With 5-6% from Arctic Fog, 20% from Scorpion Shield, 6% from Weave and 3% from a Steadfast Protection in Tough you're at 34%ish already. Add in CJ and you're at 36%.

The last 9-10% is really easy to get. Slot 1 or 2 sets of Kinetic Combats (Boxing/Brawl). Another option is Obliterations in Blackstar.

Regardless, I'd recommend you do a big retool of the build. It's very possible to softcap your defenses while getting good recharge and recovery. Pricey, but that doesn't seem to be a deterrent

You've way overslotted several of your powers and skipped one of the best reasons to go with Dark Blast, namely Life Drain. The damage isn't amazing but with HOs/IOs you can get really great values for acc/dam/heal/end/rech turning it into a great all round attack.

Your slotting in Sleet and Heat Loss is um, really not good. You want maxed out recharge in those powers, which you're not getting.

I've got a guide for Cold Dom in my sig if you want to take a look. It covers a lot of slotting ideas/suggestions as well as more general Cold stuff.

    Hope that helps
I hope you saw all of the 9, 10 and 15% recharge and accuracy set bonuses. I think you're right about life drain though. I'm gonna go over it again, which is what I always do after posting here to get feedback before I actually slot the toon. I'll also take a look at your guide when I get the chance. Thanks.

Edit: I wanted to fit the fighting pool in but I couldn't find the room. I was counting leadership as defense too. Maybe I could just take manuevers and drop the rest of leadership for the fighting pool?
  8. I worked up this build for defense. I also wanted to get as much out of the set bonuses as I could. What do you guys think?

  10. Awesome runs today guys!! We did 2 almost perfect raids. Thank you to all who attended. Tell your friends. This is an ongoing weekly event. I will be out of town and unavailable the first two weeks in August. I need a volunteer to run the raids for those two weeks.
  11. Yeah, as Bronze Knight said there were 2 raids this morning that didn't go so well. The first one was good up until the time when people started jumping into the bowl while the GM was still there. I failed to take control of the situation and make sure that he was pulled out and dealt with before we went in. We had unknown persons shouting orders but it was my fault because I didn't maintain control. I'm sorry guys. As for the 2nd raid, I crashed about the time the first bomb was placed and it went downhill from there.

Supergroup Theme Music .. the SG leader can upload an mp3 of their own creation to be their theme music, to be downloaded by sg members for thier own excitement while playing.

Clickable option on all SG members for non-Sg members to stand close to them and they can hear the SG theme from like, 1 meter maybe.

As if I don't have to put up with enough gangsta rap at work already...
  14. As I stated, this is my first attempt at stoner. Also, I've never gotten any melee toon past 38 (except my 50 claws/sr scrapper). The toon in question is only 18 atm. I didn't realize I couldn't use cj with granite. Yes, I prefer defensive toons. I understand why you suggested tp (it's for moving between mobs with granite on), but I'm 18 months away from the City Traveler badge. I won't be able to take tp without taking another power from the set first. I have ninja run therefore I don't need a travel power but if you could suggest a power to drop in it's place I could take tp. I modified your build slightly to compensate for the inability to get tp and to add more end redux and rech, as well as, set bonuses. I don't understand why you would use a normal IO when you could get more benefit from using set IOs in their place.

  15. I don't play very many melee toons. So go easy on me this is my first attempt at a stoner. Whattyall think? Don't worry too much about the order. I rarely if ever follow it. I'm more concerned about the power choices and slotting.

I would assume that it goes to the person that is being auctioned.
  17. The first raid was slow starting. It took over an hour to get enough people together but it went awesome anyway. I'm not going to wait that long again. I decided that from now on the raid starts no later than 11:15 am est. I gave everyone 15 mins to prepare for the 2nd raid and we went on time. We only had enough people for 2 teams but we went anyway. Here's a screenie of those who participated in the bowl as the shields were restored. Thank you to everyone who was there for both raids. I hope to see all of you and more next week.

  18. I always laugh at these divas who think they are entitled to anything. I play the game and I rarely get purple drops, yet I still play the game. If you don't like the game then why are you here? Do you really think anyone cares that you threaten to leave the game? You know what I think? I think you're just trying to manipulate the devs into increasing the drop rate so it benefits only you. You don't give a **** about anyone else. Just like we don't give a **** about you.
  19. Playing on Virtue and being the main recruiter for 3 VGs, I am often asked if our VGs roleplay. I'm beginning to feel like there's an aspect of the game that I'm missing out on. I've never been much into roleplaying but I'm willing to learn. I would like to find a few experienced roleplayers to help with organizing events and to walk me through becoming a roleplayer. All of our VGs are themed by AT and when GR comes out we intend to incorporate hero ATs into our structure. Our VGs are in order by when they were created: Wolves of the Black Moon (all VEATs), Voodoo Masters of Virtue (all mm's), and Corrupted Inc. (all Corr's). You can find me in-game via my global @Ghoul Slayer. I also play on Freedom as well and I alternate my days between the 2 servers.
  20. I was reading a similar thread about a week or so ago. I'm not sure where to find it but the gist was that many npc's are very tall in this game. Keep in mind also, the female max height is slightly shorter than the male which is in turn slightly shorter than huge. One of the things that was mentioned in that other thread was to use the slider to decide and ignore the height markings because they aren't accurate. You can make a toon that is 6' tall and the powerless civilians that walk the streets will tower over him/her. From what you are describing, I would say that you should go with max height or slightly shorter. Personally, I have a female toon that is max height and I notice that npc's like Anathema (Lost) are still at least a head taller. You mentioned that "with GR on the horizon you want to get her costume right". I could be wrong on this one but I thought I remembered reading that there would be new costume pieces with GR. Just thought that's another thing you might want to consider.
  21. Arc Title: Rock N Roll Fantasy
    Arc ID: 423617
    Created by: @Ghoul Slayer

Rock and roll superstars weren't always famous. Get a glimpse at how these 4 started out.

    Warning! Extreme Arch-Villains!

This is not a farm. I'm proud of the work that I put into creating this arc. It's 4 missions and it can be soloed in about an hour but more fun set on x8 because you get to see all of the custom critters that I created. If you can't handle x8 solo then bring a few friends. I would not raise the difficulty beyond that, it may be hazardous to your health.

Here's a few of the comments that have been left by people who have played it:

    very nice job !!!!
    This Arc is "ROCKIN"
unique..but a tank is necessary [I don't agree with the tank part]
    Not Bad!
this is the sg for me! that was the most fun i hav had in a long time
Nice Arc, very original and well thought out. A nice change from all the farming arcs. Thanks !
good amount of baddie types. great map choices. al in all a great mission set.
  22. Great run today guys!! I wish I could have stayed for a 2nd raid but it seemed to take forever to get it going today. Nonetheless, the one raid we did was outstanding. I only died once and that was on a pylon because I jumped in too quickly. I had 2 people on my team who kept dcing but otherwise it went incredibly well. I pulled in about 600 merits. Thanks so much. If you were there please post here to let everyone know. Cya next week!!
  23. Awesome raid yesterday guys!! I nabbed over a thousand merits!! I forgot to post it then so I'm doing it now. If you were there please post here to let everyone know. I also want to thank everyone for coming so quickly. The teams filled really quickly for the first raid and enough people stuck around for the 2nd one that there was barely any waiting time. In fact, I kept the same team for both raids. Not a single player left. If not for the one crash that I had on the 2nd raid I probably would have walked with around 1500 merits. Btw, it looks like this is catching on much faster on Freedom than on Virtue. Would some of you guys mind switching over next Tuesday to give us a hand over there. Thanks.
  24. I didn't expect to win. I'm just glad you made it. Congratulations on a great week. My global is in my signature but I'll send it to you anyway.
  25. The suspense is killing me. I hope you made more than a billion. I don't even care if I won or not. No matter how it turns out thank you.
