I also made a toon that looks something like me. Well, at least the hair does. This is xXx Buzzsaw xXx (the nickname I earned when I started wearing my hair like this).

Not working sorry. I think FB blocks hotlinking. Try uploading it to photobucket.com and hotlink it there.

It's not my fault you made a toon that looks like me. I bet he's a stalker. Should I get a restraining order?

Edit: You missed the super dooper flavor savor soul patch.

I'd like to know which would be better in the PvP zone bloody Bay for fightin' with my pals... or whoever happens shows up.

Or should I just make a Rad or Cold/something defender or a something/Rad or cold corruptor?

Hope Ghoulie gets his answers... and I beg for a little advice too please.
If I do lock him into a level it will be a little higher I was thinking more along the lines of warburg or SC. BB is not really active for PvP I know that much. I hope you can get the advice you need as well.
  5. Hey guys,
What I know about PvP could fit in a matchbox, so I'm coming here for advice. I decided to go with spines/regen for my first all PvP toon but that's the only thing that is concrete. Please post inexpensive builds and links to the best threads for a beginning PvPer.
  6. It's just conjecture but I think he meant powersets. I would totally /sign that. It's kind of annoying when you are building a team and you get 2 defenders and 1 corrupter only to find out that none of them have debuffs. Another thing it would help with is when you are looking for a specific powerset (i.e. a stoney looking for a kin).

Edit: Of course it would have to be disabled in PvP zones.

  8. I've been farming with this toon while I earn enough inf. to make his main build. I noticed extreme swings in the amount of damage I take when I'm swapping out common IOs for sets. So I decided to use his second build to make an extremely cheap build specifically for farming. I'm only using common IOs for this and I'll probably respec it for another purpose once I finish my main build. Can I get some feedback please?

I don't care that it's necessary in order to get the rarer incarnate boosts. I don't care that it was badly tested, and a zone-crashing bug got loose into the live game. I can overlook those poor decisions.

What I can't accept is how ill-conceived it was to tell the entire playerbase to do the same task force over and over again.

Last night on Virtue, Independence Port had tremendous lag and appeared to be about to crash at least twice that I saw. Getting onto Stateman's ship was a slideshow. Telling your players to gather in the same zone every single day was a bad decision.

But even that's minor compared to the mind-numbing tedium of doing the same task force several times, on one character or with several. And once you've completed it on one character, that character is too powerful to find challenge in any other content in the game -- not that you can play any other high-level content, because most everyone else is grinding away at the WST.

Issue 19 came with new, challenging task forces that reinvigorated the high level game. Issue 19.5 is a step backwards, instructing the playerbase to re-consume old content for even less reward. The WST is a recipe for boredom, and it will only be played for as long as people can stand doing repetitive tasks. Every player will have their limit; I hit mine in one day.

I just wanted to give the devs my opinion. They made a misstep with this design. Be sure that, in Issue 20, you give us something interesting to do. Please.
I wholeheartedly agree with all of this. I just want to add one thing. The fact that everyone is doing the same task makes it harder for those of us who want to do something else to find a team. I spent over 90 minutes during midday yesterday (before the patch) trying to form a MOapex. I am well known on Freedom and people are usually coming in droves when I try to set up a SF especially one that has badges. I was so infuriated that I ragequit the game and didn't even try to come back until about the time that the servers came back up. The WTF is an utter failure as far as I'm concerned.

I consider the market a mini-game so I'm still playing the game when I play it. I was the one who won the contest at the start of this thread. I was a semi-successful marketeer before I started following it. Now I consider myself semi-pro. I'm making about 2b inf. per week on my stoney using the tactics set out in this thread. I make about 100m on my other toons when I play them but only because my stoney is a farmer the others are not.

  13. I know this is a rant but I don't care. This SF/TF of the week idea is a load of garbage!! I just spent 15 minutes trying to form a Tin Mage SF and no one was interested. I figured maybe if there were badges involved I might be able to get people to join so I switched gears and tried to form a MOapex. It took me 45 minutes to get 7 people on my team and we waited an additional 30 minutes until we all decided to give up. Normally, when I form a SF/TF people are banging on the door to get in. I know that the intention was to get people to try different SF/TFs but it's having the opposite effect. Everybody is doing the SF/TF of the week and they don't want to do anything else. Spending more than an hour during midday trying to form a SF is ridiculous. I am infuriated. I quit the game for the day. I won't be back until I cool down.
  14. My team was the first one on Freedom to figure out that RSF was the SF of the week and by proxy STF. We all got our level shift before it was announced. 4 members of that original team tried to repeat the task and wound up in mapserver hell. We crashed 3x on the first mission, reformed the team, went back in, and crashed again. An hour later, I formed another team and ran it again with no problems. I know that the devs have figured out that it has something to do with the level shift. I'm wondering if the reason it affected us so badly was because there were so many of us on the team that already had it? Until the problem is fixed, maybe we should limit the number of members on our teams with the level shift?
  15. I haven't read the whole thread either. Has anyone asked about the non-combat pets that come with this? Are there screenies?

To take tough is not necessary - Combat Jumping IS necessary. Taking all the Leadership toggles is unnecessary.

    This is what you NEED.

    Twilight Grasp, Fire Blast
    Tarpit
    Fireball
    Rain of Fire
    Howling Twilight
    Firebreath
    Darkest Night
    Super Speed
    Shadowfall
    Combat jumping
    Blaze

These are the things you can't live without. You need them FIRST.

Your gameplay is NOT to stand toe-to-toe and slug things out. You run forward with super speed and shadowfall - use darkest night to DEBUFF a boss - run around a corner and drop tarpit - Jump out using CJ and FEAR the group - Howling Twilight to STUN, SLOW, DEBUFF and make the leaders turn and run - OPEN THE PORTAL TO BURN and everything falls down.

I am making another of these myself now Platinum Scourge and at level 6, I was running -1 x 6 and once at 12 I went to -1 x 8. I now have her at 16 and will be going to 0 x 8.

Understand the synergy of Armors + DEBUFFS + movement. You need to keep moving and since they are slowed and unable to hit you due to the To Hit debuffs you pour on the AoE goodness. Blaze is for that last Boss.

Inferno you will never use - why would you want to drop all your toggles that are debuffing them? I have it - got it at 49 but I only use it and then self destruct in a last ditch chance to save the team in an overrun.
Very well put man. Thank you. I already planned on going back to the drawing board but this'll help with the decisions I need to make.

    A Guide to BURN
    Do You Debuff?
    1. It's not about how expensive the build is. It's about getting everything I want out of it and not worrying about the cost.
    2. Dropping fireball was unintentional. I didn't realize it until I read your post. The only thing I could think of to drop to get it back was assault.
    3. I didn't want to let the 9% accuracy and extra recharge go. I also didn't want to let go of the extra def and dmg/res that you suggested but once I reworked the build again I had to in order to have enough slots everywhere else. I kept one of the Lotg's for the accuracy and reharge.
    4. I realized that I forgot to put some kb protection in so I added that.
    5. I still want to know if I should move 3 slots from dark consumption into stamina or not?

    Fire/Dark

Ok, I came up with a build that has darkest night and blaze. I'm pretty sure that this is the build I'm going with my only question now is would the 6 slotting in dark consumption work better where it is or in stamina. I'm not sure how that recharge bonus works. Is it for all powers or just the one you have it slotted in?

Also unless Dark Servant is just a set mule it's underslotted for accuracy. AFAIK pets don't benefit from set bonuses.

I would swap out the Glimpse of the Abyss set in Fearsome Stare for Cloud Senses. The tohit debuff is more valuable than the fear IMO and you keep the same recharge bonus.

I would also take Darkest Night. It's extremely valuable against hard targets.

Really I would change just about everything, so maybe I shouldn't be offering any suggestions.
The main reason I skipped blaze was I was trying to concentrate more on the AoEs and the main reason I skipped darkest night is it kills end. I like swapping out Cloud Senses instead of Fear though.

Edit: Correct if I'm wrong. I was thinking that my way over cap accuracy bonuses and tactics would take care of any accuracy issues with Dark Servant?

Another reason for skipping blaze is it's a close range power and I intend on using this toon at a distance.

    Hey guys,
I wanted to get some feedback on this build. I know I'm not min/maxed in much but I was going for a balanced toon with good def and recharge that doesn't use a lot of end.

Edit: I made some adjustments already. I realized a couple of mistakes and here's what I came up with on the 2nd try.

Start doing this, might as well sell a "badge pack" on the store. $10 and it unlocks all the badges, current and future, on your account.

    No, thanks.
This is a far cry from unlocking all of the badges. It's a trivial incentive. I don't understand why only a couple of people like it.
