I've been only playing heroes for the past few days. Mine don't seem to be affected by the contact & mission list bugs so far.
[/ QUOTE ]
Are you playing on Union or Defiant?
So far as we are aware this only affects Union at the current time.
For those affected, we absolutely require the information requested in this post ASAP for everyone affected. In particular, we need to know which zone you were in when you last had access to all your contacts, missions etc and the zone you moved to and discovered that you had lost them. Also, any zones in between if you zoned multiple times.
All information you provide will help us immensely in tracking down this issue as soon as possible. -
Hi all,
Those of you watching this thread: are you playing a Hero or a Villain? -
See here for official updates on this issue as they become available.
-
Hi guys,
I'm forwarding this on to our various teams and we'll get cracking on investigating this! -
Hi,
There is an occasional bug where a UK customer may be incorrectly shown the prices in the in-game store, and we have a current issue (being worked on as we speak) with the £ and sign not displaying within the in-game store. This may make it easy in rare cases for a customer to believe that the price has been changed, when in fact it has not.
I can confirm that our prices for character slots have not changed. I am currently looking at my in-game store, and it shows a correct price of 3.49 for a single slot.
If you are being shown incorrect pricing for your region, please contact the support team who will work with you to correct the issue. -
You can obtain the installer files for the EU client from here:

If your browser does not connect, try using a FTP client. -

It doesn't matter if it's trying to entertain or not - if you made a post using the text you said on the video, there's no way it wouldn't be removed - posting a link to a video of you attacking other forum posters is the same as making a post attacking other forum posters.
If you made a video where you had to blank out the names of the people you were talking about in it to avoid being banned, then that should surely tell you that it was an unsuitable thing to post in the first place.
Not only that, but you also come across very badly in it, whcih I'm sure wasn't your intent - and it does tend to confrim the view people had of that whole silly "forumite" thing - which was a while ago now, and it'd be much better to leave it alone, and not try bringing it up again.

[censored] [censored] your [censored] face [censored].
In that post, I told you to "censored, censored your censored face censored", I have not and did not type one swear word, nor was I insulting to you in anyway.
However I deliberately made it appear that I was being insulting, and swearing my [censored] off for effect.
Fire_Guardian is an actor. Yes, he has real feelings about some people on these forums, and events in the past - but in Ask a Ben he is first and foremost, an actor. Episode Four is meant to show him up in a bad light, it's rather the point. Y'know, like the angry German kid, or... Yahtzee.
The unedited version, whilst containing real, very strong swear words and a genuine rant, also contains about 10 minutes of laughter from the both of us. You can spot him about to laugh on multiple occasions, he couldn't get through it without giggling.
Basically, [censored] happened, it was bad, it still stings, but it's funny as all [censored] [censored]-[censored] hell.
[/ QUOTE ]
Regardless, I've removed the link to that episode and a couple of other posts here. This forum is not the place for that sort of thing, even in jest. Especially in a case such as this where it dredges up issues of the past that should remain in the past. -

While anything that leaks out as this costume piece has is fair game, please remember that decompiling the game files and looking through what you find by doing so is not allowed under the EULA. -

Shouldn't these announcements also be made on the forums here as they affect both communities rather than relying on people checking the US forums - especially as the US run daily maintenance rather than weekly.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the US have the same system we do: they have allocated time slots for daily maintenance, however downtime is only required twice a week. -

I had this exact thign once, too. I got a GM (not giant monster) to assist by completing the mission for me, after about 15-30 mins of '/bug'ging '/petition'ing it.
[/ QUOTE ]
/bug will flag the issue to our QA team to check. /petition is what you need to get a support response. Sending multiple petitions will not speed up getting a response. In fact, it does the reverse: it slows the system down because of multiple duplicate entries that all need to be looked at by our staff. -
Thanks for pointing that out; I've forwarded it on for fixing.

I believe the base should have been restored last night.
For everyone who might be considering building a large base with a lot of items in it:
The larger the base, and the more items it has in it, the more likely it becomes that something will go wrong and result in errors with your base. We highly recommend that those with bases with large collections of items such as they ones mentioned above scale back their ambitions slightly.
The ability of the engine to support complex bases utilising so many items is not infinite. The more you push the limits the more likely it is that something will go wrong. -
Hi all,
Before reporting any downtime associated with Wentworth's and the Black Market, please keep in mind that the servers for these in-game consignment houses are hosted with the North American servers. As such, these services will usually be unavailable during any maintenance or other downtime for the North American servers.
Please see this thread for current EU and NA weekly maintenance schedules.
Please also check the NA Announcements forum for any announcements about additional maintenance, such as for application of a new update.
Thanks all! -
The North American servers are currently undergoing maintenance and being updated to the same version applied on the EU servers this morning. Auction Houses will be unavailable until the updating process for the North American servers is completed.
-
Thanks for the report. We're aware of this one and looking into it.

Rumoured? Been on the Training Room since the 13th -
[ QUOTE ]
Strange that, most companies would welcome a bit of criticism when they fail a customer to this degree.
I think negative comments where they are deserved are what you should be looking for, saves you being under the impression that EU customer service is not dire.
[/ QUOTE ]
Constructive criticism is always welcome where warranted, and gets passed along to support. Destructive negativity, however, doesn't help anyone and it was those sorts of posts that I was commenting on.
I've forwarded this case internally for review and improvement of the processes for cases such as this one. Unfortunately KaTet appears to have been one of the first to run across a specific issue with using PayPal, combined with it occurring at a time of year when resolving the issue in a timely manner was compromised. -
Patch notes will be published early afternoon. However, this build - 18.20091210.7T3 - includes the notes for the previous Training Room builds (.6T3 etc) but no new notes beyond .6T3.
-
OK, so it isn't what you're thinking of exactly. Your thread did make me think of, and subsequently listen to, the Local Hero theme.
-
Hi all,
I deleted a few posts from this thread as they are related to a possible exploit and therefore should not be discussed here. -
[ QUOTE ]
Edit: Oh and can this get pinned since I'll inevitably have to reinstall everything in 6 months or so and will have completely forgotten about this issue by then?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not yet. It's still a 'beta' hotfix according to Microsoft, and therefore should only be applied if you're experiencing the specific problem it is intended to remedy. As soon as they're happy with it as a full fix I'm sure it will be pushed out as an automatic update, at which time this thread becomes irrelevant anyway.
