And now it's given me a double post... that's sooner response than even I suspected
-
Although, yes, I knew this would generate more posts, and yes, that was a minor goal... This post count boosting is a bit annoying.
(and yes, I'm fairly sure I'll get yet more replies to this, in no small part due to this very line, I suspect) -
so we're expecting a "the" before that? Or just plain "wizzards" ?

The tech variant is the Holodisplay:
Price: 97,000
Energy consumed: 15
Controle Produced: 25
.
Where as the database:
Price: 106,000
Energy consumed: 100
Control produced: 50
[/ QUOTE ]
Scrying Paintings:
Price: 85,000
Energy consumed: 10
Control produced: 20
So... even less control, a bit cheaper though...
And a better energy-control ratio -

oh, she not intrested in Doc like that...

But it could be perseved like that -
I'll have a look in the morning... got salvage comming out of my nostrils... (SG gives me all the salvage...)

On post count, General is the highes (39602*), which is to be expected.
But, I'm fairly surprized to find Union Heroes to be second in line, and not that far behind (31517*), leaving a huge gap before the third in line: Suggestions (10608*).
This makes me wonder...
Is this because we seem to be more social?
Or is this because Union is the RP-server?
Seeing as the two giant threads are social and/or RP in origin.
What are your thoughts on the mater?
* numbers taken during typing, and likely to have changed before posting... -
Nice ideas. Though probably not very practical.
Also, this seems to be geared towards CoV, will heroes also have to take the "yaut near the Rouge Isles ferry"?
Still, would be cool and with current teleportation technologies, shouldn't be too difficult to make plausible (but then again, that never seemed nesecarry in this game)
And, a general tip... use paragraphs for easier reading.
This is what I suggest:
[ QUOTE ]
Bases should have locations.
There are 4 locations, depending on ur bases location, the portal will be different for every location, this will ofcourse mean there is only one type of entrance to base per town, The base inside, of course, will be the same exept for the windows.
.
These are the 5 locations and what the portals will look like from cheapest to most expensive:
.
Buissness front: Pretending to be merely an ordinary buissness, ur base is in an skyscrapper. The portal is a door in a skyscraper.
.
Abandoned Sewer: Your base is in one of the strange doors in the sewer. But this is no ordinary sewer, it is abandoned, the entrance is a big hole in the pavement, with KEEP OUT! ABANDONED SEWER MAY BE STRUCTUALLY UNSOUND! tape and sign around it.
.
Mysterious Island: When u put a window, outside there will be tropical forests and a volcano, and strange parrots will fly by. Your base is on a uncharted isle. The portal will be a yaut near the Rouge Isles ferry.
.
Underwater: When u put a window (these should be added to) fish and other aquatic animals will swim past. Your base is on the surface of the ocean, an underwater kingdom, if u must. The portal is a submarine.
.
Satelite: The most expensive and proad of all bases, out of the window u will see the earth, ur base is a satelite, the portal is a space shuttle.

I almost made comments about the War Crow article... but I would've had a hell after the next issue...
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, interesting, can't wait. Does this mean a fluff war between Grav and Crow?
[/ QUOTE ]
Grav has a lot of fans, most of them are in their teens... (the wonders of mass media)
Crow's fans... while not making an estimate of numbers can probably be mostly found in the adult female poulation.
So either way... diferent type of Fluff -

See, the trick is to be guilted into writing bits for it and then you can make your characters look as good as you like!

Personally, I love teleporting and holding, which as a controler comes natural... so when I turned my controler main into a Kheldian (same person for RP settings), I picked a Peacebringer...
Because the background of PBs fit better than WSs... Not regretting it, though. -
Congratulations again, Gid.

Quote of the day: "I'm a natural red head, I'm just a magical blonde."

QUOTE OF THE CENTURY: "You can get to sleep with a blonde, but a redhead will keep you up all night."
Jess got a demotion.
[/ QUOTE ]
You'll have to ask Eloise Smith about that...
[ QUOTE ]
Why green? That's what I have to ask. I mean, what is inherently green about gravity?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's the ingame graphical representation... but as the gravity is more brown/orange/green then green...
I went with the green of the forcefields
(the answer I gave Wordy when he asked was something like: "don't ask", so I think this one's better)
[ QUOTE ]
And then you have to ask: so, why did this stuff do this to Jess? War Crow knows necromancy, cartomancy, conjuration, sympathetic techniques, you name it, but he's never turned a funny colour (well, there was the incident with Hannah's hair, but Crow hasn't ever changed colour himself.) So why did it happen to Jess?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's a family blessing/curse thingy.
[ QUOTE ]
It's a mystery... so it be. Arrr.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oops... no more -
I thought you might all want to know:
[Q] Why is Grav's skin green?
[A] As Jessica learned to master her magical heritage, it's bonds with her became stronger aswell, transforming her body. Her Gravity and Forcefield expertice marked her skin with a greenish tane (Which is also why Grave's skin is white: Necromancy)
Also: she had red hair, but it is now blonde. Yet an other stage in her development
Quote of the day: "I'm a natural red head, I'm just a magical blonde."
[Q] What can Grav conjure? And how does that work?
[A] She can conjure just about anything she can think off. Just not food or drinks she hasn't tasted because she'd get the flavour wrong. It works by transforming energy into mater, but it is only stable for about two days, give or take a few hours, after that it just.. falls apart back into energy.
By that time the food has been processed so there are no ill effects, but the minute additions to body fat it caused would disipate. -

Dude.. Currently at GG there is a Russian themed SG, and a Golden Age Heroes themed one. These in addition to people main toons is quite a lot already... You really think people have time for a third?
[/ QUOTE ]
I barely find time for my second in line alt for RP...
[ QUOTE ]
Not trying to bash your idea, but there a limit to the number of toons people can run reasonably you know!! Especially roleplaying!
[/ QUOTE ]
And then there's Z...
If only we could all be like Z, but sadly, we're just her alts -
Some comments given to me by my insights in my lvl50 Grav/FF/fire controler
Crushing Field is great for getting containment over a large group, to follow up with fireball or just set them up for one of your groups area attacks that would normaly have them running all over the place (rain of fire?)
3 slotted CF + wormhole = bye bye
Gravit Distortion Field + Wormhole = a nice tight group of bad guys (no knock back)
Oh, and about the Singularity... it's a nice backup, but I wouldn't trust it to clean out a group of mobs, unless I solo a mission.
Up to a +3 Boss, I can perma hold anything. Just no AV, but maybe an evenlvl Elite Boss for most of the time... I can perma hold 2 even lvl bosses, if I'm carefull.
Oh, and there's a mission in the 40-45 range where Adamastor is an old school monster (with a fixed lvl) and I've managed to perma hold him as the only controler in a team
Personally, I switched Propel for Lift. The activation and animation time disrupted my hold cycle too much to warent the dmg output, which doesn't really compare that favourable to lift in dmg/sec... (atleast in my mind, I haven't done the math)
I have Dispersion Bubble running all the time, but the other bubbles, the individual ones, I only dispend on:
1) request
2) emergence (low health)
3) in preparation of a heavy fight -

Thats what i was thinkingplus we could all have camo gear and gas masks bit have Purple OR Yellow ammo belts across our chest!
[/ QUOTE ]
What's it with you and the Yellow and purple?
The way I see it...
2 teams, pre-designed and with set colors (say Orange and Green)
Everyone have a (baggy?) suit in that color, a dark vesion of that color and have something like cheeta patern in the other's color, but a light/fluorecent version...
The use of SG colors could mask/reveal those paint marks...
oh, and Erik wouldn't mind going along -
Yes, nice Z. Like the rest of the apaerment. Just not sure about the bed, though.
I use a lot of shelves.
The tall ones double to make walls, as they're smaller and there for more managable than those blue walls.
The short ones I've used to make a bath tub. When placed against the wall, I make the books face towards the wall, when in the middle of the room, facing them inwards.
I've made my vanity with a round vent as the mirror. It's not as nice as yours, but makes for a good "less luxurious" version.
I've lined one wall of my "apartment base" with the low redwood shelves which makes for a cosy detail.
2 big paintings make for the windows above that lining.
Oh, and one of the wall lamps makes for a fair shower head -
[ QUOTE ]
and of course mud bath fights could ensue, hehe
[/ QUOTE ]
hehe, Grav would 'fight' back, and would even lay off the forcefields -
Ok, now we just have to figure out at what time to go to PD... Those going, of course.
Suggestions?
7pm?
8?
or perhaps 9?
Oh, and Jane will be going to the spa aswell -
I'm in a SG that doesn't like the base raiding, but does like the prospect of SG missions.
Is it possible to do the missions, but not be open to Raids?
Are all (well, the few) missions geared towards an IoP?
Does owning an IoP open your base up to raids?
if so, what are the rules?
Do we have to accept every raid invite? Will raids just happen without warning? -
