About NPCs... if they're not fleshed out, are there reasons to add them to the handbook?


And about Items and Atrifacts...
I would say that these are part of characters. (or SGs I suppose...) Personally, I'd put such an item I'd like to descibe in more detail in to it's own chapter of the character sheet.
I do not think they warent their own section, but then it may be my limited imagination on the subject.

In this game's RP side, I've found a good set of wings to be invaluable.
As there isn't a lot of back ground easily accessible, 'pre-making' a character to fit in will be hard.
There will be times during your interaction with the RP world that being able to improvise (wing it) will be a great ability.
If ever something puzzles you, don't be shy to send a /tell to the one who puzzled you.

Also, it helps to do some recon work... make a 'temp' character, see what's out there, whose RP style match and whose clash with yours... that'll give you a better idea of what sort of character you might want.

I've removed the sexuality catagory tags from my character entries, and I'm not going to add them to any new ones.

There are 2 things to consider, really.
First there are two kinds of raids.
Official ones and instanced ones. (although I do not know how either is done.)

In the unofficial instanced ones, all damage done to the base is repaired free of charge.

In the official ones, these are the ones where an item of power can be captured (once they are active), the damage is done and destroyed items will have to be replaced (I am not sure if this is manual, or automatic) at the full cost.
- In this case, there is an item craftable at a workbench that is able to reclaim (some?) items after a raid (assuming it is one of the surviving items).

I do not do base raids, but it is my understanding that at this time (until IoPs are active again) all base raids are the risk free ones.

Well, Ive placed many a toilet in a base (using a throne in once instance) and I can tell you, the entire bathroom with shower, bath, changing space, toilet and sink takes less then one square.

Given the space provided by a single square, itd be nice to be able to place them. Some might just use them to link doors and rooms.

I'd suggest a new thread, with that information and title, to keep the clutter of "planning, any ideas?; making; Having problems so this is taking a while; and so on and so on" posts out of the sticky.

I'm afraid you won't be able to run it with just the start up kit, ie: the Combo unit.

I've done a bit of math for you, I hope I've been able to bring it in a clear enough fashion.


First the basics, power and control generation and consumption per item:

Combo unit: Power +125; Control +75


Telepad: Power -50; Control -25

Beacon: Power 0; Control -5

Basic Workbench: Power -20; Control -10

Storage: no consumption
Exception: Invention Salvage Vault: Power -10; Control -10

Now that that's out of the way, let's see what you need.
Going for the 4 telepads with the 8 beacons for them, because let's face it... that's what you want eventually, right?



4 telepads: Power -200; Control -100
6 beacons: Control -40
Workbench: Power -20; Control -10

Total consumption: Power -120; Control -150

To meet these needs, you'll need to seriously invest and upgrade.

Energy Terminal (room 2x2): 150,000
Control Room (room 2x2): 100,000 (or room 1x4: 150,000)

Power generator: 225,000 (supplies 1,000 power)

Control Generator: 150,000 (supplies 50 Control, consumes 50 Power)
Large Control Aux: 106,000 (supplies 50 Control, consumes 100 Power) x2


Sum to upgrade: 837,000 Prestige
This not including the teleport capacity, nor the refunding from the oversight and Combo unit (75,000)

This will give you a total of:
Power: 750 (1,000-250)
Control: 150


This is also not including the 15,000 per Teleport Pad and 10,000 per beacon...

So, if I add that up...

+837,000
-75,000
+150,000 (extra teleport chamber
+60,000 (4 telepads)
+80,000 (8 beacons)

1,052,000 would be the amount of Prestige you would have to spend over time to invest in the base you already have.
(assuming you don't have anything other then what you said you have in your post)

When I looked at it the first thing I thought was "what is going on?", soon followed by "wow, that's some awesome drawing and colouring skills".

I especially like the pencil lines on the drone's eye, I don't know why but I like it

The down side is the composition, I feel. It looks to me like you've drawn a bit here and there, probably the two heroes first and then added the rest to fill out the paper. What ever the cause, the downside is that it's chaotic. It seems like a collection of individual bits put randomly on paper.

What is the fire blaster firing at?
Why is he standing so.. noncialant as if it's only target prectice?
Why is that drone looking in the same direction as the blast is going, but not AT the blast's destination?
What's the Rikti at the front up to?

Indeed, all it does is give access to the personal storage.
So adding more then one would be a waste of space and storage possibilities (like enhancements or insps)

I prefer my base for crafting...
Cap Au Diable or Kings Row and Talos give good accessibility between base portal and auction houses.

A tall bodybuilder in a business suit sat next to Zorielle, sitting a bit rigid with the odd ripple of his jaw muscle when he moved. His hat lay on the table in front of him as he looked around.

Erik, the vit and body builder but otherwise normal looking investment banker was sitting there. Instead of the bulked up blue collosal Tower of Power that was his alter ego.

Out of action as he might be, he refused to take up hospital space when he could walk. He might not be fit for battle, but he would do what he could to help. And if he could take some stress of family friend Zorielle, all the better for it.

Event

Searches in Boomtown by Tower of Power and a group have lead them to be MAI from Saturday onward. They were looking for an calculated chance that there was a 'beach head' base being formed.

They were found on Monday evening by two non-combatants.

3 unconcious,
6 hurt,
17 dead.

Among the dead names like:
The White Bishop
Fiery Knight
Lightning Sabre
Arc Wielder
Sai-Murai
(Yes, I've just made those up...)

A big blow to the Chess Club supergroup... as even the intriped leader seems to be out of commission for a while.

They did how ever report there WAS a base being set up in an old Council base, it's been cleared of (life) Rikti, the entrance had collapsed during the attack, which lead them to be trapped there before rescued.

Mostly Skyway city (and mostly nearer the Unity Vigil Tower), some other zones occasionally:

Destroyers brought down by relatively few heroes. As the Grav Mistress' magic uses their own bombs to severely damage them before they get on.

The pink armoured woman has been spotted going from battle to battle to tip the scales in hero's favours with offensive but mostly defensive spells.
