    I soooo agree... the time between notices for "UGH somethings stirring" and "Ooops too late" is REALLY short.
    It's over way too quickly.

    Also either have he despawn after a while.

    If you don't make longer 'contruction' time, please then consider offering the badge for killing him afterwards.

    Once again the notice was given. Within moments we were Pocket D powering to get to Kings Row. Not a couple of minutes had passed when we arrived in KR and a broadcast notice said we were too late he was formed. This was certainly not the first time and I worry it will not be the last.

    Last week I once again saw 3 paladins hovering around in their normal spot. We have attempeted reaching the spot DOZENS of times in the last months, each time failing to reach the event.

    Can you please do something about this?!?!?

    Is there no way to delay the contruction further?

    The Eden and Sewer Trials are some of the best/most unique content in CoH. They are fun and have some interesting an unique maps. Instead of eliminating a portion of the reward, I would rather see the Devs take the time to fix and update the Trials.

    Gents, I'm not saying we will never take the time to revisit this, or other, existing content. I'm just giving you the down low on what the current status is. We know you want everything and it can be hard to understand why we aren't doing something when the reason is not visible to you. We have a lot working behind the scenes and know that you will appreciate it when it does come to fruition.

    The Eden and Sewer Trial aren't killing anyone currently They are still do-able content and have the additional reward of the rare recipe for anyone running them to choose from. Like anything in life, there is always room for improvement. Lets not get too down on them. Thanks.

    So, I'm part of the camp that feels names should be scrubbed on a regular basis for inactive (non-paying) accounts. Honestly, the sense of entitlement by non-paying customers astounds me. I'm sorry but if you're not paying for a subscription then you take the chance of losing your characters’ names. Period!     If the above sounds too extreme, then I could see this being a possible solution and one that the company could make money at. After all, that is the whole point of keeping the names reserved for inactive account… the potential for making more money. Here it is:

    As an option upon ending a subscription, the person could pay a fee to keep the names on the account reserved (regardless of what level the characters are or any other attribute). For example, $20 for 6 months, $50 for a year, etc., etc. with the option of extending the timeframe if it expires and they still haven’t returned to the game. That, for instance, would require the customer to log back into their NCSoft account and purchase an extension (more time) to keep the names reserved.

    What about the NEW people to the game. Should they be forced to name their hero/villain "RedSting3r 47beta" or "Phoenix44th3rdStreet" because everything else that is halfway cool is taken??? No they are future and CURRENT revenue. THEY take priority. It's called business.

    They can look at the curve, if there are a lot of people who have been gone for a year, they should FORFIT EVERYNAME!!!

    I like many others pay for our subscription for the fear of the loss, why should they not?

    I am loving my 44 Arch/Eng blaster. I did respec into Hasten at 40 or 41, as I wasn't getting enough BU+AIM+ROA for my tastes. Also dropped Acro after I picked up one Karma KB for use in Combat Jumping.

    Went with Force Mastery pool. I have a bit of recharge and think Force of Nature might end up being a lot of fun.

    This sounds like my lvl 26 hero Archerfish. I plan on dropping a Karma IO in my combat jumping too.

    Let me know how the Force Mastery works. I was debating on selecting it too.

    My thoughts EXACTLY.... I know so many people RACING to get their (multiple) characters to 50... but then what?

    I got my first hero to 50 and, as expected said...ok now what?

    I am glad I took almost 3 and a half years to bother getting her there. Yes.... stop laughing... I did say 3 and a half years. She has been drydocked for months now. Like I implied, I was in NO hurry. For me the game is all about the ride and not the destination.

Why would the devs add more zones to match CoH when they can't keep the current zones in CoH fairly actively played? You could easily trim two zones(Boom, Crey's) from CoH right now with little recourse.

    Perhaps Boom could become a new co-op zone or yet another PVP area. The lowbies could use a PVP zone below lvl 15....hmmm.

    My guess? The heavily pet-based nature of the set doesn't play well with Domination. More of the control and damage in Illusion comes from pets than in any other set, and that part wouldn't benefit from Domination. On top of that, the pets' actions don't contribute to your Domination bar. Combined with the usual scaling of controls between Controllers and Dominators, an Illusion Domination set would offer relatively poor control combined with some lackluster extra damage.

    In other words, it's because a Dom Illusion set would suck without some substantial reworking. We may see that reworked version at some point, but for now, we're getting the low-hanging fruit.

    Could this be because Villains have the better powersets? After proliferation, Heroes have five sets that Villains don't have access to aside from the Blaster Secondaries.

    Illusion Control

    Empathy

    Archery

    Broadsword

    Katana


    After proliferation, Villains have seven sets that Heroes don't have access to aside from the Mastermind Primaries.

    Energy Aura

    Ninjutsu

    Ninja Blade

    Electric Armor

    Electric Melee

    Traps

    Poison


    While I think Katana is better than Axe or War Mace for Brutes because of the faster animation times, it doesn't fit as well conceptually.

    Illusion control would be great for Dominators, but I'm willing to wait on it. The sets we're receiving in Issue 12 gives me hope that Dominators will be getting two completely new Powersets in Issue 13, Electric Control and Earthen Assault.

    Is Archery better than Electric Blast? Animation times are about the same, Electric has End Drain, Archery has +Acc, Electric is Energy damage, Archery is Lethal. I think it comes down to taste.

    I think the only really good Hero sets that Villains don't have access to are Illusion Control and Empathy. As a pure "buff" set, Empathy is inappropriate for Corrupters, but could be useful for Masterminds. Empathy for Masterminds would need to be tweaked because of Bodyguard. As near as I can tell, Abosrb Pain on a minion + Bodyguard = endless damage loop.

    Personally it boggles my mind and I have to say I need 12 more slots per server now to accomidate the sheer FLOOD of character concepts I have come up with now.

    As you have probably heard us say before, we are constantly trying to bring you cool stuff in the 'City Of' games! We want to make sure that the stuff we bring you is actually desired by the players as a whole, as opposed to a vocal minority.

    To this end we are considering the possibility of two new powersets for the 'City Of' games. The intent is to fill in the two Archetypes with the least number of powers: Tanker primary and Scrapper secondary, which only have 4 choices currently. We want something radically different than the sets we have in the game right now. We have some ideas on what would be cool to include and are looking for your input. In no particular order:

    I'd like to mention that these powersets are NOT for Issue 10, as we are nearly locked down on that issue already. They are for a future Issue and will be included for as many archetypes as it makes sense for. We definitely want to do something that the playerbase as a whole sees as a "good thing" for the game, which is why we are looking for your input!

    If you have other ideas for a melee or defensive set that you think would set the world on fire, feel free to post it in the discussion thread . If there is a strong enough groundswell on a particular idea, then it will be considered as well, or may make it into future consideration for other powersets.

    Sadly I concur... perhaps it might have been better to avoid speculation. They SHOULD HAVE instead just said there was going to be a huge surprise patch and some such. By doing this we would have just been surprised, amazed and grateful that they GAVE us more stuff. Hype is bad news to the main forums.
