Probly port the Terror node into another dimension which would annoy Terror but ultimatly not be that useful considering he has quite a few kicking around
-
All this has done for me so far is show me why villain groups tend to be self centered mercs and petty thieves...
Theres just no appreciation for real villainy. -
Well actually considering the fact that Terrors bodies are disposable I would have no objections to him getting smashed to pieces
-
Well Terror is a mad scientist. That means a high level of disregard for the consequences of his actions so his ignoring of Zero and his rules isn't a stretch of imagination.
And heres a hint for people: Actually trying to stop Terror will work a lot better than out of character whining. -
Well we're only doing it at the hero side bar. So go to the one on the villain side?
-
They don't stop people bringing in guns. Or stop people who pump out radiation, electricity, fire, etc from entering.
I've always regarded it as just stopping people from suffering direct physical harm (albeit most people these days seem to ignore that)
And if people want to stop me. Do it IC -
I highly doubt it can neutralise something like a nanoplague. If so then any time someone became ill they'd just go to Pocket D for a miracle cure.
Plus lets face it. Seeing a real evil scheme on villains is a rare enough thing as is and if this is the reaction to any attempt to bring fear, misery, pain, etc to the world then I can see why most villain groups are just self centered mercs. -
If people really have such a problem with a genuine evil plot by a villain group then why even leave Paragon? Just stay in the city and never interact with villains.
Theres more than enough ways to not be affected. Its there for anyone who actually wants to be involved in the sort of scheme that a classic supervillain group would cook up. So if you want to try stopping us then just message me ingame and we can arrange some kind of IC battle between our groups -
Well in regards to the security system I personally assume that diseases and any form of nanotechnology isn't affected. If that was the case then most invasive forms of nanotech would cease to function which would most likely kill a number of technology heroes and villains.
Its only being spread when someone from the legion is serving at the bar. And if you really don't want to be infected just walk by an electromagnet or expose yourself to a strong electrical field or EMP.
One of the main reasons I decided to roll with this is because its always annoyed me seeing people who play characters who cannot be affected by anything in the enviroment around them. Having to respond to something beyond their control is not something they ever do. So it will be interesting to see how they respond to not being in control.
And yes there is an overarching scheme to GLEEs activities in this. We will be selling a cure at some stage in the near future. -
*Short news segment on daytime TV in both Paragon and the Isles*
"Breaking news right now in both the Rogue isles and Paragon city. Numerous small time criminal gangs, schoolchildren and super powered beings have been admitted to hospital with a as of yet unknown disease. More information as it comes in"
((Pretty much the Global Legion of Extroardinary Evil are lacing all the drinks in Pocket D with the WBTY plague. They're hoping to cause chaos, panic and fear. Its all on the union Wiki so look it up there: Event page on the wiki)) -
"You hear about that arms company that sponsors that hero?"
"Oh what did they do now? Give him a gun?"
"Nah I hear the owners been talking to a load of nobody heroes lately."
"What do you think he's trying to do?"
"Well I hear that he's recruiting them for something"
"What would he be recruiting them for? Is he going to start offering super powered mercs or something?"
"I hear its some kind of hero group or something lead by the one they already sponsor"
"I bet its just a tax dodge"
*Conversation between two people in Pocket D who saw Faust Terarch leave after talking to a hero* -
There will most likely be a military staging area inside the new Rikti zone which could possibly become a roleplay centre.
-
Well in the official background you get the idea that effectively both are consumed to create a new being who has memories and personality traits from both. A warshade is really just a reformed criminal and kheldians may be more distrusting of warshades due to their history fighting them (some form of war involving nictus as oppressive masters who controlled the kheldians for a while eventually leading to a revolution by the kheldians.)
However you have to remember that it is your character. You can make it so that the humans mind is gone for some reason or the other way around (like Dark Aeris. The nictus inside her is dead which means she has the powers but not the skill to use them to their full) -
Well wait a while and then revive it.
-
I didn't know CoX was such a great way to meet women ;P
Guess I'll have to post a singles ad in game XD -
Krank. Almost everyone in Paragon and the Isles would have been around during the Rikti war. And a very large number of them probly fought in it, so remember that before saying: "Thats what they want you to believe!"
And yeah I've noticed how few classic supervillains are out there. Thats why I liked one of my old characters Professor Terror. He was a classic mad scientist villain who lived to rule the world. -
*Two Arachnos wolf spiders stand by a body being wheeled off to a hospital in the isles*
"Ok let me get this straight...this girls spinal fluid was drained?"
"Yep completely"
"And nothing else was done?"
"Well she died from a blow to the skull with a heavy object we think."
"Right and who did it? You saw him right?"
"Some guy in a black gas mask and wearing skintight leathers."
"Oh great that narrows it down. Lets see we have at least five thousand suspects now!"
"Well who cares? Its not our problem really."
"Yeah but what if this sick [censored] gets sick of just stealing the spinal fluid from little girls?"
"Ah...gotcha. Well we'll deal with that if it happens I guess." -
Well my old character Prof Terror would be orgasming in a corner no doubt due to all the tech he can steal.
My new one will probly kill one and go "[censored] is this? *poke poke*" -
Yeah I recomend PD though. Galaxy girl tends to be a bit elitest.
-
Nope thats never happened not at all. Ortega most certainly did not get their target hideously drunk on some manner of illegal alcoholic beverage and hack the teleport system for that one. *cough*
Maybe we should come up with a set of rules for PD? A universally accepted set of rules that Pocket D abides by? -
Good point Lunk considering one of the characters in question was a cannibal (albeit she was the only one who ended up treating him even remotely nice o_O)
I know little knight wolf was one of them but I don't know who the third was.
Its a shame we can't revoke their hero licenses
Ah well if Noetic see's them he can just give the kids an uncontrollable urge to sing backstreet boys songs -
So these three kids ganged up on a rabbit and graphically described that they were going to rip his organs out and eat them because aggressive children do that?
God what sort of place is London? Sounds like hell on earth. -
Yeah I guess. Bloody kids XD
Albeit Lunk thats from a rough part of London, one of the areas thats only gotten worse thanks to Labour (but lets not get into that). But I imagine it would be difficult to have a hero license at all if you were doing things like that or threatening people (and if you didn't have one then you'd have constant trouble with police.) -
Thats a more believable behaviour pattern for a child though. Some of the ones we see in PD now try to pick fights with people five times their size (Tygerboy trying to [censored] of Lunk through Tress...)
Any child even a super powered one is going to be nervous if surrounded by a load of super powered strangers. And how do they even get into Pocket D in the first place? -
Ok I've noticed that the number of people roleplaying children in CoH (don't know if theres any in CoV). Personally I don't know why people want to do this but I have noticed some issues arising from this.
They don't act like children. More often than not they act in a manner very different from children, usually they act very aggressive using the fact that they are RPing children as a shield against in character consequences. One example of this was when a member of my group was repeatedly threatened and harrassed by two or three of these so called children. They repeatedly claimed they were going to tear him apart and eat him. Now I may be getting old now but since when did children threaten to eat large sapient rabbits? or rabbits in general?
What the hell happened to children being cheery and scared of grown ups?
Surely I'm not the only one annoyed by this?
