Still trying to get my head around this marketeering thing. At the same time I'm a pretty new player so I'm leveling up a few characters. So far I've mostly used tickets from the AE to outfit my character with enhancements, and sell the one's I don't want. Even doing this I can't seem to store enough salvage. I'm reading about you guys bidding on stacks of recipes and enhancements, or having several sets of IO's and I'm wondering if it's a must to make my own base in order to really get anything done. Is anyone out there doing any serious crafting or marketeering without a base?

Another question regarding Boxing. Does it cause any redraw issues for Stone/ brutes? If I'm using it as an auto will I end up having to have the hammer redrawn each time afterwards?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, it will redraw. Any of the attacks in the pool sets (air superiority, flurry etc.) will do that.
I have always taken kick on my tankers simply for humor reasons. Most all of my tanks are small and due to their height, it looks like they are kicking the baddies in the "family jewels". Plus, when the knockback lands from kick, I just find it funny especially when it makes the target fall off a bridge or ledge.

I'll probably take kick as well just for fun and concept. Hopefully it won't be too bad..if not I'll use build 2 to add boxing. Kicking off ledges or down stairs does sound like fun. -

Stone brutes don't really have redraw issues. Seismic Smash, Stone Fists, etc don't have the hammer out either. The hammer is a "fake" weapon like Fire Sword etc that doesn't have a "draw" animation. It just appears at the beginning of the animation.

Thank you very much! -

I'm new..so not sure what that enhancement does. As for the slotting...I haven't figured it out yet. I think SS has enough offense so that I don't need to slot up the power pool attack...but I'm not 100% sure. I just like seeing the kick mixed in.

I am currently working on a Stone Melee/Shield Defense Brute, as well a Super Strength/Shield Defense Brute. I plan to take the fighting pool on both, and I chose kick on the Super Strength purely for the visual change up during combat. I noticed most of the builds I see in guides seem to have boxing instead. What benefit(s) if any does Boxing offer over Kick?

Just curious if I've missed something. I have some recipes some of the salvage to make them is too expensive so I am waiting to either find the salvage myself, or get enough infamy to buy it. In the meantime these recipes are keeping me filled. Is there a way to store recipes so I can keep getting more?

I'm planning to make a brute and looking over the powersets. Can someone give me some idea of the differences between these two sets? I know war mace does more stunning while stone melee does knockup, but is this all? Is one more endurance heavy than another? Is one more damaging? All help is appreciated.

Thanks to you both! *heads to read the guide*

Sorry if this doesn't belong here but this is where I've seen the term. Can someone explain what this means...what benefits there are..and when it's recommended.

I am starting a plant/psy dominator, which I plan to use for almost every aspect of the game (teaming, soloing, rp, crafting badging, pvp etc) I'd like to make this my 'solid' character so I'm looking for help so I don't mess this one up. I will be working toward accumulating infamy to purchase good enhancements for this character, but I am not familiar with IO sets and slotting. I'm looking for help in putting together a good overall build will slotting suggestions.
Thanks in advance. -

New player here and new to these boards. Which advice specifically? I'm willing to put in the effort and I'd like to better understand the IO/SO system while doing it. A point in the right direction is all I'm asking here.

Check the guides that are stickied in this forum. However, the basics are pretty much the same:
<ul type="square">[*]Observe prices on what you want to buy for awhile. Know where the highs and lows are.[*]The Last 5 prices are like the Pirate Code--more of a suggestion. When you want to buy or sell, use what you know from the first bullet: place your bids/post yours sales and walk away. Adjust as necessary.[*]Be aware that prices are lower earlier in the week. Perhaps you should buy then.[*]Be aware that prices are higher on the weekends. Perhaps you should sell then. Or when you have uber loot, buy stuff NAO because you can.[*]Heroes are weird: They will pay you outrageous sums to make stuff for them. Go fig.[*]The Smurphy Challenge: What is the lowest you can buy X that you have been observing? Can you sell it for at least 10% more than what you paid? Congrats, you now have something to flip for profit (and a niche for Fulmens to smack up).[/list]

I'll start looking at the guides. My problem begins with bullet one. I don't know 'what' to observe because as a new player I don't know what is good and what is bad. Perhaps the guides will help clear some of this up.
Thanks for the pointers...I'd like to make a lot of money 'making' things as part of my characters roleplay so that's where I'll start. -
