Quote:It doesnt get better than fire/fire in terms of pure unadulterated damage. However on has to patient as you will die. Alot. I think I got every debt badge on him very early.Wow. I want a fire/fire blaster now!
I made one awhile back, but I didn't really like it. I deleted him and went with a fire/energy blapper instead. Now I wish I'd stuck with the fire because of fire sword circle.
That being said, he was my first 50 and an amazing force. -
I understand that you're trying to point out how the kin wasnt doing his/her job properly and buffing through top-to-bottom list, but I think the real issue (IMO) in that excerpt was the OP's attitude.
I play on protector mostly, so we don't really have attitudinal players (lots of newbies tho :P). Imo, player behavior is almost as important as player skill, I you saw he was effin up, I would have sent him a tell giving him my advise an what not. The minute you bash someone in public (this goes in-game and real life too) you put that person on defense and they are not going to be as open to your ideas as they could have been.
Personally, I would not want to team with your attitude, but that may have just been a bad day for ya.. -
Here is a build that I worked on for my Ice/Axe. Feel free to pick and choose anything that you find usable

Hello all,
I recently became interested in /elec and I was thinking about pairing it with Fire/.
I was thinking that I never see any fire/elec anywhere... I would assume that it would be a lucrative combo.
Anyway, does anyone have any information on it?
I initially was thinking about this toon for a scrapper, however I was explained that it would a much better combo as a Brute.
I havnt had much luck with them before but I'm not opposed to making another one.
Thanks! -
Well thank you!
I will definitely take that into consideration...I was actually thinking about my next villain anyway.
I havnt had much luck with Brutes in the past but im willing to consider giving it another shot...
Thanks again! -
Nice guess Ghostslayer!
And thanks for the awesome thread! Im definitely gonna be using these strategies to help me get out of the poor house! -
I see..
So would you say its say to presume that with fire you have more damage with less toughness and with kat/bs you have more toughness with a little less damage?
Also, im an AoE freak so I wouldnt mind giving up a little sturdiness in favor of more damage and AoE.
Thanks! -
Hello all,
It struck me today while looking at Mids, that /Elec has some really cool powers and I became interested in testing one out.
I was thinking that I never see any fire/elec anywhere... I would assume that it would be a lucrative combo.
Anyway, does anyone have any information on it?
Also, is it strong for scrappers or would it be a better combo for a tank or brute?
Thanks! -
Yea, /EM is the best currently.
I believe /MM is a close second tho if im not mistaken. -
Quote:Still no notes on that page, but it's probably these changes that went through.
edit: Just noticed that River's client number is the same as on that page.
Yep, SG members posted the link. Thanks! -
Speaking of, I looked in patch notes and I couldn't find the patch from today? Can someone post a link to where it is? If there is one..
Thanks! -
Sticking to my original 724 mil...(mostly cuz thats my birthday digits lol)
And sidenote: don't listen to someone who discourages you from doing what you want with your $15. Just because it's not "their" way doesnt make it wrong...Fascists.. -
Woot! Go TNF!

That is all... -
First of all, welcome back!
Secondly, I need a few more details on your part.
Do you like melee or ranged?
Do you like reducing the amount of damage that comes your way (resistance) or do you like reducing the amount you get hit period (defense)?
Tough characters or squishy ones?
Single target or multiple target (AoE) attacks?
Also, are you looking for a hero or villain? -
Quote:What do you mean by this please?
very unfriendly for a HD upgrade but very easy for memory. -
I see...Well thank you both very much.
I do plan on getting a new computer in the near future. This time I will be getting a mac (Industry standard for DJ's) so maybe I will be able to play better on there...? -___-
Anyway, thanks a bunch! -
Thank you very much!
I see now that Intel just doesn't cut it for CoH...Well at least I can still play the game properly...
So if I were to upgrade my gfx, would I be able to switch to Nvidia or would I have to stay with an Intel grx card??
**Edit** Also, whats the best gfx card for CoX on windows 7 currently anyway? -
Im not exactly sure what im supposed to post for Hijack this.
What do I submit? -

Hello all,
So I just got my laptop back from tech support (had issues and to change hard drive) and they restored it to windows Vista.
I upgraded back to windows 7 and re-installed CoX. But now when look at contact pictures as well as player pics in the info window it's just a black square.
I even upgraded the gfx and bios drivers and it still shows a black square.
Also, whenever I unplug or plug in my charger the game freaks and I almost always mapserver.
Does anyone know what the problem is?
Thanks in advance! -
Mine is level 40 and I have never taken Siren's with him. However I can tell you that I don't miss it in the slightest.
I always open with sleet so I don't really see how I would need it anyway.
Ymmv.
