  1. Well, I have six L50s on Freedom (I rolled there back in I2 and left shortly after the AE system came into play) and from what I saw being on there for a week or so there were about 300 people online at any given time (rough estimate) and of those 300, about 200 were running the AE system to go from 1-50 in a day or two, some paying a TON of money for it.

I prefer to do the TF from 10-50 since it's a TON of fun and you can usually make some good friends, but when I did my /b to see if anyone wanted to run Posi all I got was a bunch of 50s who ended up kicking me out of the team because I wasn't 50 yet. I would transfer servers, but like I said, I have a ton of 50s already on Freedom. I guess I could spend half a year and get a monthly fee. But that's all besides the point.

My biggest issue with not being able to rebind the keys and having them show what I rebound them as is that the 1-0 is that I'm used to looking at them, and having it say 4 when I really want to hit W it just confuses me. I'm sure I could get used to it, but not with multiple characters.

On WoW there are a basic set of powers that anyone gets. 2-3 average powers, a build-up strike, an AoE, and the ranged powers. I usually have things set the same way on every character, but here it's just harder to do. I'm sure I could get used to it, but it's just odd (shrugs).

I do wish there was a way to get rid of the numbers at least, I think I would do better without them at all.
  2. That sucks.

I suppose I could just try really hard to figure out what key goes where, but the staff should really think about making those number dynamic. Bad enough they won't let us change the skins, but when they give us the option to change the keybindings I would hope that they would think that those 1-10 markings might confuse us a bit (grumblecakes)

Oh well, I probably wouldn't have stuck around long anyway, I really hate games where 1-max is a thing that only takes a few hours.
  3. Well, I know they don't change (or I wouldn't be here) I'm asking if there is a possible way to change them myself. I know that we can change a few things on the skins like the textures, if those numbers are part of the skin's texture then I can at the very least remove them
  4. I'm a very odd person, instead of using WASD to move, I use ESDF (it opens a lot of stuff for me). The problem with that though is my normal 1-0 toolbar should be showing the left side of my keyboard (QWAZRTGVXY), but it still shows the (1234567890). Is there a way to make the action bar reflect the acutal keybinds?
  5. VERY helpful. Thank you very much, Combat.
  6. I am wanting to make a single macro key that will activate each of my buffs. I don't mind spamming the key to get them all in. I use the ESDF keybinds, so I was wanting to use X as my buff key.

    Powers to Buff:
    Psychic Focus
    Build Up
    Conserve Power
    Power Boost
    Boost Range

    Macro I wrote:
    /macro buff powexec_name Psychic Focus$$powexec_name Build Up$$powexec_name Conserve Power$$powexec_name Power Boost$$powexec_name Boost Range

The problem with this was it saw only one of the powers and ignored the rest. I went into edit and it just showed the first one. Not sure what happened.
  7. Heh, I have a character who's a "Human Build" Who can run almost 70mph with all of the boosts I've put into her. She can also jump about 3 stories (almost 4). And that's without combat jumping.

It was a toy build though, I just set it up so that I could do that, most of her sets aren't that conductive, fun though.
  8. Well, so far of my quazi-pvp toons I have a Inv/SS Tanker, Ill/Rad Troller, Rad/Rad Defender, Psy/Nrg Blaster and a Bane Spider. All are at 50 with their slots pretty much maxed out. Worst part is, aside from the blaster, the defender is my second choice in PvP.
  9. I always thought that stalkers were a bit too cheap. Two hit kills are really fun and all, but it just seems too easy at times. I see the big flaw in the brute (not enough buildup) and have been looking at scrappers instead. I don't really want to try a tanker, I fairly like the blap factor of scrappers (and brutes in pve).

Mostly I just like the idea of a dark attack because of that -acc that comes with it. I'm doing the research, but the builds are all evading me. Soon though I should figure out what the hell I'm doing. Heh.
  10. Yeah, after reading up on the recent changes (been gone since AE came out) and I'm starting to notice that.

    What about a Dark/WP Scrapper?
  11. I think I have decided on a Dark/Willpower Brute as my next project. When I get home I will work on the build using Mids and a few of the other build guides I've read over the past few weeks. If any PvP Guilds out there are interested in a bit of new blood, I would love to join an active PVP Supergroup or Villaingroup (I really don't mind which side I start on... or end up on).
  12. I've gone over the different powersets for a Brute that I want to try to run in most, if not all, pvp zones and arenas. My biggest issue is to figure out which primary/secondary to pick. I've gone through the Titan list of powers and armors and I've picked quite a few secondaries, but am narrowed down to two primaries.

    Primary Powerset
Dark Melee (for the -acc buffs) (I am leaning strongly to this powerset)
Kinetic Melee (for the buffs and -dam)

    Secondary Powerset
Energy Aura (For the endurance benefits)
Invulnerability (For the amazing damage absorbtion)
Willpower (For the regen of endurance and health, also for the +perception)

In general I'm more thinking towards the Dark/Willpower for this build, but again, I wanted to get some feedback from the crows to see if anyone has some input I may not be noticing. And yes, I know the -dam can't be enhanced but the -acc can, this is something I'm considering making that one a stronger benefit.
  13. Best part would be when people spam for farms in Atlas, we can kill them!
  14. I've been gone for a bit (since around I17) and I just got back into the game at full steam. In just the last few issues I've noticed a few strange things that I wanted to share. not really venting, just pointing it out that I think we're being too nice.

    V/EATs
Back when I earned mine you had to reach Level 50, now it's just Level 20. I get that freebies won't get these at all without buying them, but why the level change? Capes and Auras didn't move, so why give us the V/EATs at such a low range?

    The AE System
Yup, farmers... those are new. That's not the point I wanted to make though. My biggest issue with it is that when most of these people hit 50 they realize they don't like the toon anymore and just roll another one. Most of these people have never even been out of Atlas Park and they decide that their level 50 toons are no good anymore. Kinda' sad in a way.

With Issue-21 We Don't Need Rogues Anymore
This one kind of bothered me a bit more than the others. I was reading that with Issue-21 we won't be needing the Going Rogues expansion anymore, because they are going to just let heroes roll as Brutes. Or more that when the hodge-podge of players roll out, they are going to be all sent to one zone where they get their morality mission at Level 1 instead of Level 20. Make the players earn their Hero Brutes, it's just crazy that this is the way it happens now.

Endgame Content is Growing, but PvP Stays Ignored
Now I understand that PvPers aren't a large portion of our population (I think I read it was around 5% or so right now), but with so many issues cropping up on the forums, why don't they just hire two or three guys at PS and just have them work on the PvP Aspects. Perhaps we don't have that big of a population because there just isn't any real reason to get into it. Who knows.

    The Ease of IO Sets
I remember when the PvP IO Sets came out, the devs said they were going to be special rewards for pulling off some fairly good PvP Runs (I don't remember them exactly, but that was the gist) So much in fact, that you wouldn't have to leave the PvP Zones to get one each day, which was pretty sweet since the launch only had about 10 sets... we have 10 sets still btw. Now I guess you can get them through the AE System if you really want them, just seems kinda' lame that people whine about wanting those and they get them, but the PvPers whine about wanting to be able to pull their own system off and get ignored (shrugs).
  15. How is it that you don't have an Angry Birds set?

    ---------------------------------------------------------
    Red Bird (moderate single target)

Birdie Remote (used to activate special functions)

    Blue Bird (light cone)

Yellow Bird (fast single target, sniper)

    Upgrade Slingshot (+Acc, +Dam)

White Bird (Can either be used as a bludgeon throw or can drop an explosive egg via remote)

Black Bird (Detonates either through remote, or 3 seconds after contact with enemy, Will detonate still if no enemy is hit, EXTREME Damage)
  16. Well the way they did it then was any trial account was saved. This time it's a full wipe. Trials are all gone at the end. THe account isthere, but the toons aren't.

People who have paid or the accounts should be allowed to keep their toons though, that's just good policy.
  17. Wow. That's a lot of sticky alt keys, ehh?

And the amazing thing to fix it isn't to press the alt key, it's to leave the mission/zone.
  18. Before Issue 22 comes out they should run a purge one last time. Send out an eMail to all players who had trials when 21 comes out to get them to return and reclaim their toons. After the 3-4 month period between 21 and 22 if they don't log onto their account, their characters should be forefit. Full Trial Wipe when 22 lanches.

If you bought the game, even if it was when it first came out, your characters over level 10 will be saved as they are. Any character L9 and under on a paid account is safe. Again, if they log on before 22 is released, those toons are safe.
  19. So I got both of these on the same mission today. It was a bank mission (trying to get a contact for the last two hours and I almost had her until this happened).

Bug No. 1: On some bank missions (Blue Side) if you kill the target too fast, they will somehow be teleported to the end of the mission and you will fail. Not kidding, this is to the best of my ability to figure this out, how it happened. The other amazing thing was how damn fast they got to the back. I land in front of the bank and just after I get in they have gotten through the vault, then after I two-shot them all, nothing happens. I clean the rest of the bank and I fail. WTF.

Bug No. 2: This one has been going on for a LONG time, since beta I think. Sometimes when you enter a mission, you will be using the middle power bar instead of the bottom one. I've dropped toggles trying to fight more often than I care to remember. It's obnoxious, confusing, and not all that fun. It really needs to be fixed. I know you guys like to try to get your issues planed months in advance, but seriously, add this into 21. If not there, then 21.5. It's a horrible bug.

This was my only observation as well.
  21. These guys are more versatile than most people think. I generally just slot for farming on my primary, and then use a good PvP style for when I am feeling frisky. A good jumping off build can be found in the build string.

  22. So if you're going to buy something, buy it from the "Used" section of Amazon. They can't sell anything that's been opened by law, so you can get City of Heroes for a penny +S&H. I haven't bought a game at a store in about 5 years now. Well, except for when I saw CoV at a Big Lots for $2... I bought seven of them. LOL.

I have been trying to figure out the same thing. The whole setup where it's 500 pennies to buy 400 points is just a bit odd. Make it so that it's 500 pennies is 500 points and all of a sudden I can do the math (I'm not a smart man... but... wait, what?).

Another thing I always thought was odd, but it's just me, is why not make it so that we get 50 points, and the points are just /10? They all end with a 0, so why not just get rid of it? Every time I see stuff like that with fake currency I always remember Matrix Online with their whole "You have 25 billion hit points!" rubbish.

Anyway, if you went on there and said we get 50 points a month and that the Pop Dance costs 4 of them, I would almost think it's a better value. That's mostly just because I'm one of those kinds of people though... with a small.. well.. I have a small computer, only 15"... (runs away crying)
