Rebound Keys Not Showing

I'm a very odd person, instead of using WASD to move, I use ESDF (it opens a lot of stuff for me). The problem with that though is my normal 1-0 toolbar should be showing the left side of my keyboard (QWAZRTGVXY), but it still shows the (1234567890). Is there a way to make the action bar reflect the acutal keybinds?

Well, I know they don't change (or I wouldn't be here) I'm asking if there is a possible way to change them myself. I know that we can change a few things on the skins like the textures, if those numbers are part of the skin's texture then I can at the very least remove them

No.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

That sucks.

I suppose I could just try really hard to figure out what key goes where, but the staff should really think about making those number dynamic. Bad enough they won't let us change the skins, but when they give us the option to change the keybindings I would hope that they would think that those 1-10 markings might confuse us a bit (grumblecakes)

Oh well, I probably wouldn't have stuck around long anyway, I really hate games where 1-max is a thing that only takes a few hours.

You know, it doesn't have to take a few hours. Some of my characters have a hundred hours or more on them, and they're not 50 yet.

Taking time to smell the flowers is what extends your game play. If all you do is push for XP, then of course it's not going to be a good ride.

I have many things bound to multiple keys... how would the tray handle that? Simply pick one?
What if I replace the '3' bind with lshift+lbutton? Or even just 'alt+num' or 'shift+num' like the two alternate trays are bound to by default! (I generally have 5 trays open on all my characters)
What about my Warshade/Peacebringer that changes up what's bound to what as part of most every fight (run in as human, hit Eclipse + Mire, transform to Dwarf+remapping the binds with one key press, Mire, drop into human+transform into Nova+remapping binds again)?

Personally, I didn't even notice those numbers until I'd been playing the game for several years. And if you don't recall what a key does, /showbind KEY will print it out to the System channel. I'm not really sure what 'figuring out' you're talking about... I've played characters with many binds that I've not touched in literally years and knew them all again in ~5 minutes, since I tend to have common patterns.

You plan on paying someone inf to farm your character? If you aren't, then it won't be anywhere near a "few hours". Don't let 1-10 fool you, you level far faster in the early levels than in the late levels.

If you invest many hours straight each day, and farm the hell out of a single character, you could probably hit the cap within a few weeks... but you'd also miss 99.999% of the content of the game. And you'd still have only played a single AT, while this is a game that is big on alting.

Nah, it's entirely possible to farm yourself (or someone else) to 50 in a day or two.

Of course, if that's what you do, though, you cannot complain that the game isn't interesting or that you can level to max in a day or two.

Well, I have six L50s on Freedom (I rolled there back in I2 and left shortly after the AE system came into play) and from what I saw being on there for a week or so there were about 300 people online at any given time (rough estimate) and of those 300, about 200 were running the AE system to go from 1-50 in a day or two, some paying a TON of money for it.

I prefer to do the TF from 10-50 since it's a TON of fun and you can usually make some good friends, but when I did my /b to see if anyone wanted to run Posi all I got was a bunch of 50s who ended up kicking me out of the team because I wasn't 50 yet. I would transfer servers, but like I said, I have a ton of 50s already on Freedom. I guess I could spend half a year and get a monthly fee. But that's all besides the point.

My biggest issue with not being able to rebind the keys and having them show what I rebound them as is that the 1-0 is that I'm used to looking at them, and having it say 4 when I really want to hit W it just confuses me. I'm sure I could get used to it, but not with multiple characters.

On WoW there are a basic set of powers that anyone gets. 2-3 average powers, a build-up strike, an AoE, and the ranged powers. I usually have things set the same way on every character, but here it's just harder to do. I'm sure I could get used to it, but it's just odd (shrugs).

I do wish there was a way to get rid of the numbers at least, I think I would do better without them at all.
